Visionary Leadership of the Principal of Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Pabuaran and Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Kalijati Subang West Java

The visionary principal takes part in determining the quality of educational institution. The problem is that not all principals are able to apply the optimal visionary leadership. This study examines the strategy and characteristics of the visionary principal of SMAN 1 Pabuaran and SMAN 1 Kalijati. This is a qualitative study with the method of collecting the data is through observation, interview, and documentation study. The results of the study conclude that (1) the visionary strategy of the principal of SMAN 1 Pabuaran and SMAN 1 Kalijati is by formulating, transforming, and implementing the vision and missions so that they become a commitment of all stakeholders and emerging the sense of belonging and sense of ownership attitudes. (2) The characteristics of visionary leadership of the principal of SMAN 1 Pabuaran and SMAN 1 Kalijati can be seen in their foresights, their ability to transform the vision into action, encourage their subordinates to work hard, motivate, and build a good relationship with the employees so that the concept of the vision is clearly accepted by the subordinate. The principal of SMAN 1 Pabuaran has a strong vision which affects the commitment of the subordinates to implement the vision, while the principal of SMAN 1 Kalijati could stimulate self leadership of the teachers so they are able to design work performance by using their own authority in making decisions.

This research has the goal to the rise of ideology kiaiat State Senior High School (SMAN)Darussholah in the progress of the implementation of quality education organized by the government. There is avery dominant influence from outside that affects the process of the ongoing education. This study concludesthrough the analysis that the inclusion of ideology kiaiinterfere with the development of education in SMANDarussholah to become a professional educational institution. It is necessary for the role of government inproviding facilities and infrastructure to achieve professional education institutions. Likewise with the kiai byentering ideology kiai should be able to provide infrastructure such as dormitories and human resources toimprove the quality of education in the boarding school.

Indriyani et al, (2013) stated that many students had dificulty in understanding the generic structure of analytical exposition text. Therefore, the present study tried to investigate the correlation between students understanding in writing generic structure of analytical exposition and the quality of students’ writing in second grade of senior hight school. Grounded in explanatory correlational research design by Creswell (2011), this study conducted over two weeks in one of senior high school in Indramayu. Close-ended questionnaire and writing test were instruments to collect the data and it was analyzed by using SPSS 22. The statistical calculation from students understanding in writing generic stucture of the text and writing test indicated that the value of tcount was 3.23 and the value of ttable was 0.361. It can be concluded that the hypothesis was accepted because tcount 3.23 > ttable 0.361. The finding reveal that there was middle correlation or middle prediction in students understanding of generic structure of analytical exposition and students writing quality with the score 0,52.

This research is carried out to examine the developed circular motion physics module in a cooperative learning setting for students of Grade X Science Senior High School in Banjarmasin. This study's general objectives are to produce a circular motion physics module integrated with gumbaan local wisdom in cooperative learning settings and describe its feasibility. Moreover, this study's specific objectives aimed to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the module. This study utilizes the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) development design model. The instruments used consisted of module validation sheets, students’ questionnaire responses, and learning outcome test. The results of the study indicated that: (1) the validity of the module, based on the content and display, obtained a score of 3.20, which fell in the "good" category, (2) the practicality of the module, based on students' questionnaire responses, obtained a percentage of 64.92% which is categorized as “good”, and (3) the effectiveness of the module, based on students' test scores, obtained a score of 0.44 which belonged in the "moderate" category. It is then concluded that the circular motion physics module, which integrated gumbaan local wisdom contents in cooperative learning settings, is proven feasible for learning and teaching and can be used as an alternative reference in improving the quality of learning, especially to improve the learning outcomes of learners. This module can be used as a reference that teachers can use in learning at senior high school.

This research is intended to look into the existence of Province Acreditation for School and Islamic School in Jambi through the policies and programs executed, include the result of acreditation for islamic school at Ministry of Religious Affairs in Jambi. The data from Jambi Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2012 showed that from 538 islamic schools which have been acreditated, ie:(a) 244 Islamic Kindergarten, 169 (7,63%) kindergartens were acreditated, 75 (28,37%) kindergartens were not acreditated, (b). 263 Islamic Elementary School, 171 (61%) schools were acreditated, 98 (38,20%) schools were not acreditated, (c) 345 Islamic Junior High School, 158 (44,99 %) schools were acreditated, 187 (55,01%) schools were not acreditated and (d) 184 Islamic Senior High School, 88 (47,01%) schools were acreditated and 96 (52,99%) schools were not acreditated. From 1036 educational institutions, there have been 450 (43,44%) islamic schools which were acreditated while there were 586 (56,56%) isclamic schools which were not acreditated. The main problem which happenned was there were many islamic schools got C in acreditation and even some schools were not acreditated. It was caused by: (a) socialization, (b) limitted fund, (c) geographical condition, (d) the low network among islamic schools and (e) there were many policies which have not been accompanied by commitment fully. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of school based management in proving the quality of teachers In State Senior High School No.4 OKU. This research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The informants as sources in this study were the principal. Deputy principal, teachers, administrative staff and guardian of students. In collecting the data the researcher used were observation, interview and documentation techniques. Based on the research result it can be concluded that First, the principal in State Senior High School No.4 OKU is capable of implementing school based management well. Second, there is an increase in teacher quality as seen from teacher completence. Third, school principals is able to improve teacher quality through planned and gradual programs. Fourth, the principal is able to improve the quality of the school.

The quality of education is strongly influenced by teacher performance. One factor that supports the improvement of teacher performance is job satisfaction. When job satisfaction is high, it will affect job performance and achieve goals optimally. This study aims to determine the effect of job satisfaction on teacher performance in the state Islamic Senior High School in Medan, Indonesia. The research method used is quantitative methods with a sample of 45 teachers taken from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Medan. Data analysis was performed using a t-test with a significance level of 95 %. Based on the test result, it is obtained that tcount > ttable. This shows that there is a significant correlation between job satisfaction and teacher performance. Based on the analysis results, it is concluded that job satisfaction is one of the factors that increase teacher performance where the higher the job satisfaction, the better and the performance of the teachers. This study provides recommendations for educational policyholders to increasingly pay attention to the factors that can increase teacher job satisfaction in state Islamic High School public in particular or other educational institutions in general.

This paper intends to analyze the principal's benchmarking strategy in improving the quality of human resources at SMA Nurul Jadid, Paiton, Probolinggo in an institution, namely to develop competitiveness. The method used is a qualitative approach through case studies So that it can encourage the quality of good institutional resources. This research provides strategic implications for benchmarking institutions in order to meet the complexities of the demands of the community in Islamic boarding schools to equalize those of high schools outside the pesantren. Even higher quality. As for the efforts made by Nurul Jadid Senior High School in improving the quality of human resources by increasing foreign language skills, Class Acceleration Provide motivation to every school member to continue to improve their performance to match the expectations of all parties.
