<p>This productive research about “The Producing of Ettawa Goat Milk-Sweet Purple Potato Ice Cream” aimed to create a product made from ettawa goat milk which is delicious, nutritious, enjoyable, and marketable. The research in corporation with ettawa goat livestock owner’s wives which is united as KUBE (Corporative Business Association) Adi Jaya at Sayegan Sub-District, Sleman District, Yogyakarta, also partner with Jomint Company, was done in 2011. Research included program socialization to KUBE Adi Jaya officials; producing to get advance product; laboratory test at Lab. of Food Technology and Agricultural Product, Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, Gadjah Mada University; product packaging; disseminating to women as members of KUBE Adi Jaya and neighborhood; measuring of satisfaction to the product; and marketing. Quality measurement was done to measure satisfaction to product consisted of 4 indicators, those were taste, appearance, packaging, and contents (nutrition ingredient). The formula that was used was S = P/E which was a comparison among the expecting product (E) and the fact of product/product performance (P), in this case about how product showed the performance as real to compete with E. This formula was a modified concept by Kotler that states S = f(E,P). The criteria which was used was if S or Sav ≥ 1, it mean the product had high level of satisfaction; moderate if 0.7 &lt; x &lt; 1; and low if ≤ 0.7. Competitor product as E was an establish product, it was Walls ice cream as a product which was produced by Unilever Company, and our advance product as P. The research results show that the product contents complete nutrition. Contents of Cvitamin, protein and fiber function to protect and increase consumer’s healthy. Product also contents carotene, antioxidant and antocyanin that function to prevent cancer and cell degenerative process. Based on perspective about contents, the product is “ready” to be competed with ice cream which has established. The highest value of Sav is gained on contents (1,24), followed appearance (0,997), taste (0,983), and packaging (0,974). Level of respondent satisfaction to contents of etawa goat milk – sweet purple potato ice cream included high caused &gt; 1, while to three others elements included moderate-high caused close to 1. Totally, Sav value that is achieved is 1.038, it means the product can satisfy the consumers in high level caused &gt; 1. The product has capacity to compete even more satisfy than Walls ice cream based on product perspective (element of marketing mix). The product gets positive responses from members of KUBE Adi Jaya and others dissemination participants, also shops as partners of Jomint.</p>

The agricultural, forestry, and fishery sectors in Bangka Belitung are the second largest contributor to gross regional domestic product (GRDP). At the same time, the manufacturing industry is the sector with the most significant contribution to GRDP. However, Labuh Air Pandan Village is not recorded as a contributor to local revenue, even though this village has the most significant agricultural land compared to other villages because the village products have not competed with other local products. After all, so far, they have been packaged in conventional forms. In addition, as an area directly adjacent to the Bangka Strait, this village has quite a lot of potential for marine products. However, the marine products obtained are only sold in raw commodities without further processing, such as finished products. This activity aims to provide socialization regarding fish processing and product packaging for farmer and fisherman groups in Labuhan Air Pandan Village. The method of this service activity is educative and demonstration by conducting socialization of making fish sauce and socializing product packaging. This activity lasted for one month in Labuh Air Pandan Village. Evaluation is done by providing feedback in the form of a list of questions related to understanding and interest in this activity. Based on the results of the evaluation, it was found that 80% of participants stated that they understood what was conveyed from the socialization of fishery product processing and agricultural product packaging.

Katialada Village is located in Kwandang sub-district, North Gorontalo District, Gorontalo Province. One of the dominant marine potentials in Katialada is Tuna. Based on the report from the North Gorontalo District Fisheries Service in 2016, the average catch of Tuna each month reached 300 tons. Bolowa and Cakalang SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprise) are a community business group consisting of fishermen's wives in Katialada Village established since 2014. Bolowa SMEs produce pickled products, while UKM Cakalang produces abon and panada tore cakes. Based on the information compiled from the Bolowa and Cakalang SME groups, there are several problems and obstacles that hamper the development of SME groups. These constraints and problems are limited equipment used, there is no taste diversification, unattractive product packaging, bad business management, and a marketing system that has not been maximized. To overcome those problems, the solution agreed with partners is the procurement of tools to drain the oil contained in the product, procurement of vacuum sealer tools to package the product, there are 5 variations of flavors which are divided based on the level of spiciness, the creation and design of products that are good and attractive, giving business management training to be better, finding partners to sell products, creating accounts on online buying and selling sites and social media as a marketing medium. The method used in the activity is lecture, discussion and practicum. In addition, the facilities support from the Gorontalo Polytechnic Machine and Agricultural Equipment Study Program in the form of workshops and food microbiology laboratories in the Agricultural Product Technology Study Program will support the implementation and success of the service program.

It is well known that the need for more environmentally friendly materials concerns, among other fields, the food packaging industry. This regards also, for instance, nets used for agricultural product (e.g., citrus fruits, potatoes) packaging. These nets are typically manufactured by film blowing technique, with subsequent slicing of the films and cold drawing of the obtained strips, made from traditional, non-biodegradable polymer systems. In this work, two biodegradable polymer systems were characterized from rheological, processability, and mechanical points of view, in order to evaluate their suitability to replace polyethylene-based polymer systems typically used for agricultural product net manufacturing. Furthermore, laboratory simulation of the above-mentioned processing operation paths was performed. The results indicated a good potential for biodegradable polymer systems to replace polyethylene-based systems for agricultural product packaging.

Indonesia's location in the equator gives an ideal condition for agriculture. However, agriculture suffers the issue of old farming due to a lack of youth interest working in this sector. This problem can be overcome by applying digital farming methods, in which one of them is by employing robots. Robotics technology is suitable for handling the harvested product, such as a sorting robot. This paper presents the application of a 4DOF fruit sorting robot based on color and size in a packaging system. The sorting is made possible by image processing where color is recognized by HSV analysis, and the diameter is known in the grayscale image and setting the thresholding. The fruit to be sorted is red and green tomatoes and red and green grapes. The experiments were conducted to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. The time requires for the robot to accomplish the task is 11.91s for red tomatoes, 11.76s for green tomatoes, 12.56s for red grapes, and 12.92s for green grapes. The time difference is due to the position of the boxes for the sorted fruit. The experimental results show that the arm robot manipulator is applicable for a sorting robot using the proposed method.

Abstract:This paper describes an intelligent computer-assisted instruction system that was designed for rural health workers in developing countries. This system, called Consult-EAO, includes an expert module and a coaching module. The expert module, which is derived from the knowledge-based decision support system Tropicaid, covers most of medical practice in developing countries. It allows for the creation of outpatient simulations without the help of a teacher. The student may practice his knowledge by solving problems with these simulations. The system gives some initial facts and controls the simulation during the session by guiding the student toward the most efficient decisions. All student answers are analyzed and, if necessary, criticized. The messages are adapted to the situation due to the pedagogical rules of the coaching module. This system runs on PC-compatible computer.
