This study aimed to 1) Know the module product description based on 5E learning cycle models developed to train critical thinking skills, 2) Know the feasibility of modules based on 5E learning cycle models on the circulatory system material designed to train students critical thinking skills. This research was done by research and development according to Borg and Gall (2003) which was limited to step 7. The data analysied by descriptive qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Qualitative descriptive used to process the overall questionnaire assessment data in the form of opinions and suggestions from the material expert validators, media experts, linguists, evaluation experts, education practitioners (biology teachers) and XII science students. Quantitative descriptive analysis was used to analyze the assessment scores of the respondents regarding the feasibility of the module. Based on the results of the validation by experts, the validation of material experts got 74,96% with good qualifications, data from the presentation or media validation results got an average of 74.49% with good qualifications, language validation got an average of 79.37% with good qualifications and evaluation validation got an average of 74.76% with good qualifications. Validation by educational practitioners got an average of 86,66% with excellent qualifications and validation by students got an average of 88,46% with good qualifications. Based on the overall percentage, it could be concluded that the module was feasible to use.

<p class="5abstrak">The purposes of this research were: 1) development of students worksheet Problem Based Learning (PBL) based on Local Potential; 2) test feasibility of the PBL model; 3) determine the effectiveness of PBL model. Analysis of the data used for research and development are qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis, as well as the percentage techniques. Research and development of PBL models based on local potential uses 4-D model. The results of research and development showed: 1) product of PBL-based models are developed based on the stages of the Local Potential PBL syntax that uses indicators of critical thinking skills, 2) feasibility of the model PBL-based Local Potential according to experts is very well qualified with average of 92,1 %, qualified by education practition is very well with average of 94,5 %, whereas according to qualified students an excellent with average of 88,2 %; 3) student’s worksheet PBL-based Local Potential effectively improve critical thinking skills and learning results with gain value 9 and N-gain value 0.28 at low category. Based on result of t scores obtainable gain value 9.06 and N-gain value 0.420 at medium category.</p>

Critical thinking is a way of thinking by knowing and analyzing things to get a solution. Critical thinking skills applied in students to learn to solve problems / problems. This study aims to determine the ability of critical thinking of high school students in cooperative material in class X. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Subjects in this study are high school students of class X in Kabupaten Ciamis. The sample used is 93 students, consisting of 3 classes of 32 students from IIS 1, 27 students from IIS 2 and 34 students from IIS 3. The research instrument used is about knowledge about cooperative material which amounts to 25 choices double with four alternative answer choices, the questions used are arranged according to critical thinking indicator with C4-C6 cognitive level. Data analysis used is quantitative descriptive analysis. the average of students' critical thinking early ability is 49.35% (Low) or in the low category. The low initial ability of critical thinking makes the researcher assume that students are not used to get the problem with cognitive level of C4-C6 on cooperative material. So it is necessary to do better coaching to improve students' critical thinking skills. In addition, students are also required or accustomed in solving problems with high levels of cognitive C4-C6 or cognitive level.

Teaching materials are one of the important aspects that determine the effectiveness of learning. In learning discourse analysis, students are expected to have critical thinking skills, but this is not achieved because the teaching materials used are not in accordance with the needs of students. The purpose of this study was to analyze the needs of teaching materials to students. This research was conducted by quantitative descriptive method. Research data were collected using a questionnaire given to 30 students. The data from the questionnaires were then studied using quantitative descriptive analysis methods. Based on the results of the study obtained data that many teaching materials are not in accordance with the learning objectives that have been formulated in the lesson plan. The pattern of preparation and content of teaching materials used so far does not provide a stimulus for students to develop critical thinking skills. The results showed that students not only needed teaching materials that contained material as the object of discourse analysis studies, but also needed material on concepts and strategies in critical thinking.

The purpose of this study was to determine the critical thinking skills of students in the Accounting Education Study Program, Islamic University of Riau. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research. The population and sample of this study were all students of the 5th semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, totaling 48 people. Collecting research data using documentation study techniques, and analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the critical thinking skills of Accounting Education students, on average, had good abilities. However, there are still some students who have a low critical thinking category. This is due to; 1) Some students are still formulating questions that are classified as CI and C2. 2) Students tend to answer questions briefly, without providing further explanation. 3) Students still use reasons that focus on the words of the book or take it directly from the internet without examining it first. Therefore, students must be encouraged to improve their abilities in critical thinking.

This research aimed to obtain the profile of students' critical thinking skills and the implementation of PBLRQA based on blended learning in high school. This research is a descriptive preliminary study with a saturated sampling technique was taken by 123 students. The method of gathering information with a used a written test, response questionnaire students, and teacher interviews. The analysis was conducted using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The result showed that critical thinking skills in the very low category. With the acquisitions of the very low category as many as namely 110 students, the low category as many as 12 students being low, the medium category as many as and 1 student, but in the high and very high categories there are no students who achieve it. The research of the study concluded that the students generally in low critical thinking skills, so it is necessary to change the learning model to improve critical thinking skills, namely by the implementation of PBLRQA based on blended learning.

This research aims to describe the initial ability of critical thinking, of high school students in Surakarta on static fluid. This study is part of the learning tools development study to improve critical thinking ability. The critical thinking skills test is compiled into ten questions. The analyzed critical thinking skills are students' critical thinking abilities before a model is applied that is expected to develop a student's critical thinking skills. This research includes descriptive research. The subjects of this study were 35 students of Class XI in SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta. The data collection methods used are test methods. Data analysis techniques use quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the achievement of critical thinking in the analysis aspect with sub-skills of detecting arguments and analyzing arguments was 41,75%. The inference aspect with sub-skills of making a logical conclusion was 29,25%. The interpretation aspect with sub-skills of classifying the meaning was 44,1 %. The explanation aspect with sub-skills of stating re-sults, justifying procedures, and presenting arguments was 57,7%. And the evaluation aspect with sub-skills of assess the credibility and assess the quality of arguments was 24,65%. These results show that students' critical thinking skills are still low, especially in evaluation aspects.

The objective of this research was to develope physics learning materials based on Brain-Based Learningthat are valid, practical, and effective to facilitate student’s critical thinking skills in fluid matter. The learning materials development using 4D development model and have been tested on 10th grade students of  The Senior High School of 1 Kopang, academic year 2016/2017, with one group pre-test post-test design trial development research. Data collection methods used were questionnaires validity, tests and observation, whereas data analysis techniques using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results were showed several findings: physics learning materials developed had an average score of validity categorized valid, based on the implementation of the lesson plan is obtained that can be done well, especially on elaboration step. The response was very positive towards learning students, critical categorized for student’s critical thinking skills after the trial of physics materials were develop. Based on the results of this trial can be concluded that developement of physics learning material was valid, practical, and effective to facilitate student’s critical thinking skills.

This research has a goal to obtain information about the effect of Learning Cycle 7E model on students' critical thinking skills in the circulatory system material for the eleventh-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara. Quasi experiment method with nonequivalent control-group design was used. The sample was determined with purposive sampling technique, obtaining XI Science 1 as the experimental class and XI Science 2 as the control class. The data were collected using a test in the form of multiple-choice questions, observation of learning implementation, and student response questionnaires. The indicators of critical thinking skills include elementary clarification, basic support, inference, advanced clarification, and strategy and tactic. Based on the results of the post-test mean score analysis, the experimental class obtains 79.88 (good) and the control class 70.66 (good). The percentage of observations on the implementation of learning with the 7E Learning Cycle model is 85.25% (very good). From the questionnaire, it is known that 83% of students respond very well and 17% respond well. Based on statistical tests using SPSS22, it was found that the application of the 7E Learning Cycle model significantly effects students' critical thinking skills in the circulatory system material.

The demand of KKNI curriculum in the 21st century is about the equality of learning achievement covering attitudes and values, work ability, scientific mastery, authority and responsibility. For that, PGSD graduates of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University (UST) Yogyakarta are expected to be able to design the learning activities, which is in line with the development of science, and technology, which is on the same time, are able to bring Indonesian cultural value into it. The graduates’ competence are presented in their abilities to develop elementary school learning activities based on the Science Environment Technology and Society (SETS) and integrate local wisdom into it. The purpose of this research is to describe the skills of critical thinking of PGSD students in developing SETS-based learning integrated with local wisdom and also along with the indicators that appear in each skill aspect. This is a type of quantitative descriptive research with non-test data collection techniques, observation, and documentation. While the main instruments are in the form of Student Worksheet (LKM), the observation sheet towards the indicators of critical thinking skills. Data analysis techniques is done by using descriptive statistics interpretation through several answering criteria: very good, good, fair, poor, and very poor which is then the results are presented in the form of tables. The results showed that the average critical thinking ability of PGSD UST students was 69.24% with can be categorized in good criteria. Indicator of every critical thinking skills aspect has appeared, even though some targets of achievements have not been optimally gained yet.
