Background: The online learning process during the Covid 19 pandemic has increased the incidence of Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). The results of the study showed that there were 15% of lecturers at Widya Husada University Semarang experienced CVS. The purpose of the study was to analyze CVS risk factors among lecturers during the online learning period.Methods: The study was conducted using a case-control design. The research sample was lecturers at Widya Husada University as many as 60 people consisting of 30 people each in the case and control groups. A questionnaire with google forms was used for data collection. The data analysis used was univariate, chi-square for bivariate analysis and multiple logistic regression for multivariate analysis.Results: There are 5 variables that are significantly proven as risk factors for CVS, namely: 1) long working with computers (OR = 18.693; 95% CI = 1.487 – 234.955); 2) duration of computer use continuously (OR = 54,281; 95% CI = 2,523 – 1167,92); 3) length of rest after using the computer (OR = 31.060; 95% CI = 1.884 – 512.062); 4) distance from eyesight to monitor (OR = 34.640; 95% CI = 2.263 – 530.240); and 5) the position of the top of the monitor with respect to the horizontal eye level (OR = 17.555; 95% CI = 1.778 -173.296). Lecturers who have these 5 risk factors together will have a probability of experiencing CVS by 83%. Conclusion: Exposure to computer monitors experienced by lecturers during online learning will increase the risk of CVS events. There needs to be an effort to modify risk factors so that CVS events among lecturers during online learning can be prevented.

ABSTRACT   Introduction: Computer vision syndrome (CVS) is a syndrome that occur due to excessive interaction with computers. Individual, environmental, and computer related risk factors increase CVS prevalence and cause eyes, visual, and extraocular related symptoms. This research aims to observe the relation between risk factors and CVS prevalence in students of Computer Science Major of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty of Lampung University. Method: This research was an analitic survey with cross sectional study. Samples consisted of 56 students of 2014-2016 class year using proportional stratified random sampling techniques. This research used questionnaires and direct measurement of eyes distance and angle gaze of respondents. Collected datas then were analyzed by using univariate and bivariate analysis. Result: The prevalence of CVS obtained from samples was 39 students (69,6%). Statistic tests between risk factors and CVS are listed as follow, gender (p=0,909 OR=1,069), working years (p=0,007 OR=6,188), daily duration of computer exposures (p=0,022 OR=7,708), wearing spectacles (p=0,043 OR=8,000), taking a break (p=0,111 OR=2,786), eyes distance (p=0,028 OR=3,750), and angle gaze (p=0,047 OR=5,000). Conclusion: The significantly related risk factors to CVS were working years, daily duration of exposures, wearing spectacles, eyes distance, and angle gaze towards computer monitors.   Keywords: computer vision syndrome, risk factors

Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) merupakan kumpulan gejala mata majemuk akibat menggunakan komputer. Berdasarkan survei awal diperoleh lebih dari tiga per empat karyawan Bank RK Pekanbaru yang kesehariannya bekerja menggunakan komputer mengalami CVS. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui faktor yang berhubungan dengan CVS. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif observasional dengan rancangan cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 117 responden. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah univariat, chi-square untuk analisis bivariat dan uji multiple logistic regression untuk analisis multivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karyawan Bank RK Pekanbaru yang mengalami keluhan CVS, yaitu berupa mata lelah dan tegang 54,3%, nyeri pada leher 28,7%, nyeri bahu 27,7%, sakit kepala 25,5%, pandangan kabur 20,2%, melihat kembar 17%, mata berair dan sulit fokus 14,9%, nyeri punggung 11,7%, mata perih, sakit iritasi sebesar 5,3%. Berdasarkan hasil uji chi-square didapatkan variabel yang berhubungan dengan CVS adalah jarak penglihatan (nilai p=0,016), posisi monitor (nilai p=0,011), pencahayaan (nilai p=0,001), masa kerja (nilai p=0,002), lama bekerja (nilai p=0,000). Variabel yang tidak berhubungan dengan CVS adalah umur (nilai p=0,561). Variabel lama bekerja menggunakan komputer ≥4 jam sehari, 9 kali lebih berisiko menyebabkan CVS pada karyawan Bank RK Pekanbaru. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang paling dominan berpengaruh terhadap CVS adalah lama bekerja, faktor lain yang berperan sebagai perancu yang mempengaruhi CVS yaitu posisi monitor, pencahayaan stasiun kerja, masa bekerja dengan komputer.

Abstract: This study was observational analytical study with case control method and retrospective approach. The samples were 80 mothers with 40 case samples and 40 control. The bivariate analysis technique used Chi-Square and the multivariate analysis used multiple logistic regression. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there were three variables that have correlation with postpartum bleeding namely parity (p-value = 0.042, OR = 0.351), oxytocin drip (p-value = 0.002, OR = 8.222) and anemia (p-value = 0.016, OR = 4.846). The midwives are expected to be cautious in providing delivery care to the mothers who have risk factors for postpartum bleeding.Keywords: partum, risk factors bleeding , postpartum bleeding

Introduction: Stunting is a condition of the measured height of toddlers, which is less to the age. Stunting, which occurs in these children, is also considered in chronic nutrition problems. The study aimed to discover the correlation between breastfeeding mothers' pattern in breastfeeding for toddlers aged 0 days to 6 months with the stunting incidence in toddlers in Gandatapa village, Sumbang sub-district, Banyumas district.Methods: This study implemented an observational analytic method that examined the correlation between breastfeeding mothers' patterns and stunting incidence. This research design was case control. This study conducted two sampling techniques; total sampling and simple random sampling, and each was used for sampling and control groups. The research sample collected 80 respondents. The study used a questionnaire of breastfeeding mothers and TB/U observation charts for ages 2 to 5 years, according to WHO 2005.Results: Based on the bivariate analysis, the pattern of breastfeeding mothers in Gandatapa Village, Sumbang District, Banyumas Regency was in a bad category with 22 stunting toddlers (55%). Pearson Chi-Square test on the Pattern of Breastfeeding Mothers towards Stunting Incidents in toddlers obtained p-value = 0.024 <0.05 with an OR value of 2.852 (95% CI 1.137 - 7.152).Conclusion: Toddlers under 24 to 35 months can increase the risk of stunting incidence when mothers have poor breastfeeding patterns.

Background: The relationship between SLE and traditional risk factors for cardiovascular events was evaluated. Methods: The data regarding sixty patients with SLE and 30 healthy controls (age and sex matched) were gathered using SLEDAI forms. Venous blood (10mL) from all the participants was examined for hs-CRP, homocysteine, VCAM1, CBC, anti-DNA antibody, C3, C4, low-density lipoprotein (LDL), cholesterol, FBS and triglyceride. : The IMT of carotid arteries was determined bilaterally by ultrasound. Other measurements included insulin levels via Elisa (Linco/Millipore Corp) and the HOMA-IR index for insulin resistance. Results: The mean age (in years) in the test and control groups was 28.8±10.3 (18-52) and 33.8±9.13 (18-48), respectively. Results: The mean age (in years) in the test and control groups was 28.8±10.3 (18-52) and 33.8±9.13 (18-48), respectively. : The average IMT in the test group was directly related to serum levels of VCAM1 (p<0.001), homocysteine (p<0.001), cholesterol (p<0.009), LDL (p<0.001), TG (p<0.001), and FPG (p=0.004). The association between other risk factors, insulin resistance, carotid IMT and SLEDAI, was nonexistent. Mean insulin and insulin resistance levels in all the participants were 0.43±2.06 µU/mL and 0.09±0.44, respectively. There was no significant difference between the test and control groups regarding serum insulin and insulin resistance levels (p=0.42 and p=0.9, respectively). None of the risk factors, such as hsCRP, VCAM1, or homocysteine, were shown to be related to insulin resistance (p=0.6, p=0.6, p=0.09, respectively). Conclusion:: Our findings did not show an increase in the prevalence of atherosclerosis in patients with SLE. There was no association between IMT and insulin resistance. However, the former was associated with FPG, total cholesterol, LDL, TG, homocystein and VCAM1.

Abstract Objective: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for hospital beds has exceeded substantially. Thus, we aimed to conduct this study to identify factors associated with the risk of readmission in order to introduce the best discharge plan for patients with high risk of hospital readmission. Method: This is a multicenter, case-control study included 1357 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 infection. Age-sex-matched case and control groups were paired at 1:2 ratios. COVID-19 readmission rate was assessed. Moreover, Logistic regression analysis was applied to determine the factors associated with readmission. Results: Of the 1357 patients, 99 (7.29%) subjects were readmitted. The most common cause of readmission was respiratory distress. The median (IQR) of the interval between hospital discharge and the second admission was 5 (2-16) days. Upon adjusting with the main risk factors, having at least one underlying disease and being treated with the corticosteroid (GC) were significantly associated with a higher rate of readmission (OR: 2.76, 95% CI :1.30- 5.87) and (OR:8.24, 95% CI :3.72- 18.22), respectively.Conclusion: Identification of Risk factors of COVID 19 readmission will improve resource utilization and patient care.

Background: Computers and other visual display devices have become essential in the present era and have led to a rise in computer-related health problems. Using computers in homes, universities and other institutions has increased output greatly but has also led to an increased risk of developing Computer vision syndrome (CVS). Objectives: To determine the prevalence and risk factors associated with computer vision syndrome among undergraduates. Methodology: A cross-sectional study was conducted among153 respondents who were selected using a multi-stage sampling technique. A pretested, structured, interviewer-administered questionnaire was used to collect data. SPSS version 23 was used to analyze the data. A Chi-square test was used to determine the relationship between CVS and associated risk factors at a P-value of <0.05. Results: The mean age of respondents was 22.4 ± 3.4 years. The prevalence of CVS in this study was 83 (54.3%). The common symptoms experienced among the respondents were headache (51, 61.4%), eye strain (48, 57.8%) and blurred vision (42, 50.6%). The risk factors significantly associated with CVS in this study were duration of computer use, hours of computer use per day, level of a computer screen and taking breaks during computer use. Conclusion: About half of the students in this study had at least one symptom of CVS. Therefore, awareness of CVS should be created by the institution during which students would be educated on CVS and its prevention.

BACKGROUND Pruritus is the most common dermatological complaint that occurs during pregnancy, which is around 14–20%. No research related to herbal products to reduce some of the characteristics of pruritus at once has been conducted. This study aimed to assess the effect of blending oil to reduce pruritus based on visual analog scale (VAS). METHODS This was a single-blind, randomized clinical trial that included 57 pregnant women who were at 25–38 weeks of gestation, had a pruritus during pregnancy, a single pregnancy, a level I and II pruritus and a moderate to severe pruritus based on VAS. Pruritus scores were measured using VAS in both the treatment and control groups. The treatment and control groups applied blending oil and placebo, respectively, twice a day after bathing for 2 weeks. Mann–Whitney U, paired t, and chi-square tests were used for the analysis. RESULTS Pruritus reduction in pregnant women who received blending oil was higher than those using placebo (61.08% versus 12.41%, p<0.05). 83% of subjects using blending oils had a reduction of pruritus by >25 mm. Pregnant women who used placebo had a six times greater risk of experiencing pruritus than those who used blending oil (RR = 5.8, 95% CI = 2.613–12.874). CONCLUSIONS Blending oil can be used topically to treat a pruritus in pregnant women.

Background: Firefighters.are often under pressure and get complaints from the public when extinguishing fires. They are often having heavy workloads and time targets to extinguish fires. It makes them have work stress. The initial survey showed of 80% firefighters having moderate-heavy work stress. Purpose: The aim was to know the risk factors of work stress in Firefighters in West Jakarta in 2019. Method: The research design used a cross-sectional design study. The population and samples are 105 Firefighters in West Jakarta (total sampling). The analysis was done in bivariate which was used the chi-square test. Result: The proportion of moderate-heavy work stress in Firefighters is 60.9%. Bivariate analysis show that there are relation of age (p-value < 0.001) interpersonal relationship (p-value = 0.014), and mental workload (p-value = 0.004) with work stress on Firefighters. It also show that there are no relation between level of education (p-value = 0.163), marital status (p-value = 0.071) and years of service (p-value = 0.351) with work stress on firefighter. Conclusion: The risk factors of work stress in firefighters are age, interpersonal relationships, and mental workloads.

Background: Preterm birth is the leading direct that causes neonatal death. Indonesia was listed as one of the countries with the greatest number of preterm birth in 2010. This study aims to identify the prevalence and the potential risk factors of preterm birth among women underwent delivery in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, an Indonesian national reference hospital.Methods: This retrospective cohort study involved 2,612 women who delivered between January and December 2013. Any clinical data which related to the potential risk factors and outcomes were recorded. The data were managed using chi-square for bivariate analysis and t-test or Mann-Whitney for numerical data followed by multiple logistic regression for multivariate analysis in SPSS version 20.0.Results: Preterm birth affected 1,020 of 2,616 pregnancies (38.5%). Non-booked patients increased nearly twice risk for preterm delivery (OR 1.89, 95% CI 1.37–2.61). While women with singleton pregnancy (OR 0.17, 95% CI 0.12–0.25), head presentation (OR 0.75, 95% CI 0.63–0.89), and regular ANC (OR 0.67, 95% CI 0.54–0.84) had lower risk for preterm birth. Apgar score, birthweight, and mode of delivery were significantly different between the pre-term group and the full-term group.Conclusion: Prevalence of preterm birth in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital was approximately 2.5 times higher compared to the national number. Several factors reducing preterm birth rate include singleton pregnancy, head presentation, and regular ANC.
