AbstractDeformations of conventional solids are described via elasticity, a classical field theory whose form is constrained by translational and rotational symmetries. However, flexible metamaterials often contain an additional approximate symmetry due to the presence of a designer soft strain pathway. Here we show that low energy deformations of designer dilational metamaterials will be governed by a scalar field theory, conformal elasticity, in which the nonuniform, nonlinear deformations observed under generic loads correspond with the well-studied—conformal—maps. We validate this approach using experiments and finite element simulations and further show that such systems obey a holographic bulk-boundary principle, which enables an analytic method to predict and control nonuniform, nonlinear deformations. This work both presents a unique method of precise deformation control and demonstrates a general principle in which mechanisms can generate special classes of soft deformations.

Balinese women today want to feel more beautiful and acceptable in society. Therefore, women do yoga inner beauty which makes practitioners healthy, someone's beauty will shine clearly, and lead to a healthy and harmonious life. In addition, women also need their self-actualization in the form of a career path for them. This study uses a qualitative-analytic method with an interactive approach. The results obtained are as follows. First, the reason why women choose inner beauty yoga at the Ghanta Yoga Asram Denpasar is because women believe that doing inner beauty yoga and meditation every day can radiate inner beauty energy, making the body healthy, beautiful, and youthful. Second, the process of applying inner beauty yoga for women at the Ghanta Yoga Asram Denpasar is starting from socialization, initiation process, worship, the yoga implementation process is carried out from level I to level V and level of purification. Third, the implication of the application of yoga inner beauty for women at the Ghanta Yoga Asram Denpasar is that after participating in yoga, women become more patient, healthier, more beautiful, more harmonious, and more sincere in accepting the situation, and full of confidence.

Tawakal is a concept in Sufism that sometimes relies on other than Allah, so that the essence of tawakkal itself is not obtained. Ruh al-Ma'ani is one of the books of interpretation with an isyari interpretation approach, so it is very suitable to be used in explaining Sufistic things. The purpose of this study is to describe the views of Imam Alusi in interpreting the verses about the essence of tawakal in his interpretation book. The method used in this research is library research in which the presentation uses descriptive-analytic method. The results of this research found that in the Book of Tafsir, Ruh al-Ma'ani tawakal is defined as holding on, entrusting and leaving all affairs only to Allah but still carrying out endeavors as much as possible, and relying on Allah as the Protector. Furthermore, tawakkal must be accompanied by faith and vice versa, faith is realized with tawakkal.

Chapter 3 spells out the analytic method used in Part II to evaluate theories of right action suggested by the African tradition. The central criteria invoked to ascertain whether a general moral principle counts as African and philosophically justified are the extent to which it entails and explains two classes of intuitions. One sort consists of particular moral judgements that are salient amongst sub-Saharan peoples or at least their philosophical exponents, for instance that reconciliation is the proper end of criminal justice and that consensus is apt in politics. The other sort comprises particular moral judgements widely accepted across the globe, especially as they figure into English-speaking philosophical discussions of morality, e.g., racial epithets are wrong. The (secular) moral theory that best entails and explains these two groups of intuitions is advanced as both African and justified in respect of a multicultural audience of moral philosophers.

This study proposes analytic models for multimodal genres, specifically for the infographic, based on a finished master’s research and in light of a brief literature review regarding multimodal argumentation. This study is justified by the fact that visual rhetoric is a relatively new field of investigation which still needs analytic proposals that promote the increase of studies in the area. This work, of a descriptive and qualitative nature, is grounded in theories and methodologies of the visual field (BLAIR, 2008; KJELDSEN, 2012; 2015; MATEUS, 2016; 2018; ROQUE, 2012; 2016; TSERONIS; FORCEVILLE, 2017; GONÇALVES-SEGUNDO, 2021; LEAL, 2021), and the gathering of data was based on Google Scholar through software Harzing’s Publish or Perish. The results show that, even though the procedures have been developed for the analysis of infographics, the analytic method may collaborate with the growing studies in multimodal argumentation and may be applied to other genres circulating in society

We propose a data-analytic method for detecting cellwise outliers. Given a robust covariance matrix, outlying cells (entries) in a row are found by the cellFlagger technique which combines lasso regression with a stepwise application of constructed cutoff values. The penalty term of the lasso has a physical interpretation as the total distance that suspicious cells need to move in order to bring their row into the fold. For estimating a cellwise robust covariance matrix we construct a detection-imputation method which alternates between flagging outlying cells and updating the covariance matrix as in the EM algorithm. The proposed methods are illustrated by simulations and on real data about volatile organic compounds in children.

Symmetry performs an essential function in finding the correct techniques for solutions to time space fractional differential equations (TSFDEs). In this article, we present the Novel Analytic Method (NAM) for approximate solutions of the linear and non-linear KdV equation for TSFDs. To enunciate the non-integer derivative for the aforementioned equation, the Caputo operator is manipulated. Furthermore, the formula implemented is a numerical way that is postulated from Taylor’s series, which confirms an analytical answer in the form of a convergent series. For delineation of the efficiency and functionality of the method in question, four applications are exemplified along with graphical interpretation and numerical solutions to finitely illustrate the behavior of the solution to this equation. Moreover, the 3D graphs of some of these numerical examples are plotted with specific values. Observing the effectiveness of this process, we can easily decide that this process can be implemented to other TSFDEs applied in the mathematical modeling of a real-world aspect.
