<p>This research aims to apply and find out the characteristics of Problem-Based Instrumental Analysis of Chemistry Lab Work Learning Model (IACLLM) which is able to build the characters, improve the conceptual mastery and the ability of problem solving. The research using experimental quasy with 2 student groups of pre service chemistry teachers as the subjects of the research applied the treatment of problem-based IACLLM for the experimental class and lab work learning with standard lab work procedure in control class. Conceptual mastery was measured using essay test; problem solving skills were measured using assessment of problem solving reports, presentation of the results, and kit making products; whereas the emerged characters were observed during the learning process. The result of this research showed that problem-based IACLLM had open-ended problem characteristic, had produced local material kit, and characters were observed in every stage of problem-based learning model. The implementation of the model could improve the spectrometric and electrometric conceptual mastery, the problem solving skills on a very good level and also some characters were developing during learning process, including religious, discipline, honest, curious, creative, critical, cooperative, communicative, independent, and able to appreciate other people’s opinions and achievements, leadership, democracy, and able to be thorough and careful, and hardworking.<br /><br /></p>

Abstrak. Pemecahan masalah merupakan kemampuan dasar yang seharusnya dimiliki ole siswa. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis berperan dalam menyelesaikan setiap permasalahan baik pelajaran lain maupun permasalahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Melalui kegiatan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa diarahkan dalam membangun pengetahuan matematika, berpikir logis, sistematis dan terukur. Faktanya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa masih rendah. Proses pembelajaran yang menitikberatkan pada latihan yang memberikan kesempatan pada siswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis menjadi model perbaikan dalam proses pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran missouri mathematic project merupakan model pembelajaran yang tepat memfasilitasi siswa dalam mengembangkan pemikirannya dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pemecahan masalah matematis. Untuk itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran missouri mathematic project. Jenis penelitian merupkan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian siswa kelas V MIS Al Firdausy Pematang Reba. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis terjadi peningkatan pada setiap siklus dimulai dari tes awal pra tindakan, siklus I dan siklus II. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran missouri mathematic project. Abstract. Problem solving is a basic skill that should be possessed by students. Mathematical problem solving abilities play a role in solving every problem both other subjects and problems in everyday life. Through mathematical problem solving activities students are directed to build mathematical knowledge, think logically, systematically and measurably. The fact is that students' mathematical problem solving abilities are still low. The learning process that focuses on exercises that provide opportunities for students to develop mathematical problem solving skills to become a model for improvement in the learning process. The Missouri Mathematical Project learning model is an appropriate learning model to facilitate students in developing their thinking in solving mathematical problem solving problems. For this reason, this study aims to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities through the application of the Missouri mathematical learning model. This type of research is a classroom action research (PTK). The research subjects were grade V students of MIS Al Firdausy Pematang Reba. The data collection technique used was a mathematical problem-solving ability test. The data analysis technique used is quantitative data analysis. Based on the results of the test of mathematical problem solving abilities, there was an increase in each cycle starting from the initial pre-action test, cycle I and cycle II. It can be concluded that there is an increase in students' mathematical problem solving abilities through the application of the Missouri mathematical learning model.

The research was conducted on the basis of skills that must be mastered by students still limited to the low-level thinking. It was because the learning process conducted not to develop and to improve the skill of solving the problem. Therefore, researcher wanted to improve the quality of learning by applying social inquiry learning model. The purpose of this study were to describe the activities of teachers and students in learning process, to describe the development in the social problem-solving skills of students, and to develop students’ response to the learning process.The method of the research was class action research through four recycle stages, namely planning of class action, implementation of class action learning, observation, and reflection. Subject and location of the research was students of class V A SDN Jeruk 2 Surabaya consisting of 25 students. The instruments were the observation sheet, test and questionnaire sheet. The data analysis technique was quantitative and qualitative description. This research was conducted for three cycles. The result was obtained from the analysis of the data showed that the activity of teachers in the cycle I 90 %, the cycle II 93 %, and the cycle III 97%. The activitiy of students in the cycle I 75,8 %, the cycle II 91 %, and the cycle III 95%. For the improvement of social problem-solving skills of students in the cycle I 78 %, the cycle II 87,5 %, and the cycle III 93 %. The response of students to the learning process showed good results, students could easily understand the lesson. The conclusion of the research was that the social inquiry learning model could improve social problem-solving skills. It was proven when students could solve the social problems, students' skill is progressive in each cycle. The results of this research could be the reference and the alternative learning of social studies.

Mathematical problem-solving skills in learning physics is important. According to the preliminary study conducted at MTsN Jambi, it is known that the mathematical problem solving ability of students in learning physics still low. This study aims to improve the mathematical problem solving capability by applying the team assisted individualization and self-efficacy cooperative learning model. This study was experimental research by using questionnaire self-efficacy instrument and essay test. The population of this study was seventh grade students MTsN Jambi. Data analysis was performed by using two ways-ANOVA and Tukey test. The results shows that: (1) cooperative learning model of TAI influences to students’ physical problem solving capability, (2) SE influences the students’  physical problem solving capability, (3) there are differences in high SE students’  physical problem solving capability by using cooperative learning model type TAI from those who using conventional learning models, (4) there are differences in low SE students’  physical problem solving capability by using cooperative learning model TAI type than those using conventional learning model, (5) there is no interaction between the cooperative learning model of TAI and SE of students in MTsN Jambi.

The environmental education course currently does not integrate problem-solving problem skills. The purpose of this study was analyzing the results of applying integration on problem-based learning with the RMS (reading, mind mapping, and sharing) learning model. The research method was a quasi-experimental with pre-test-post-test control group design. The study was conducted on 56 students who took an environmental education course in Natural Science Education Universitas Tidar. Data analysis used an Anacova test with a pretest as its covariate. The study results stated that 1) developed learning model integrates PBL with RMS learning model consisting of identifying problems, finding relevant information about problems through reading activities, analyzing problem: group discussion through mind mapping, providing solutions, and sharing results of mind mapping. 2) The integration of PBL with the RMS learning model indicated by an average score of post-test in the integration of PBL with the RMS learning model class of 68.46, and the traditional class of 48.92. 3) the learning process that occurs in the integration of PBL with the RMS learning model class shows that learning is run well, which is indicated by students' average evaluation score of the lecturer learning process. The integration of PBL and RMS model can be utilized by teachers and lecturers in Biology learning to have thinking skills and solve daily problems.

The purpose of this research are: 1) to know the learning activity of learners mathematics which is taught by Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS), and 2) model to know the ability of problem solving of mathematics learners who taught by SSCS learning model in the class XI MIA MAN 1 Muara Labuh academic year 2016/2017. This research belongs to a kind of quasi-experimental research with randomized control group only design. In this study design, a group of subjects taken from a particular population were randomly assigned into two groups, the experimental group and the control group. After analyzing the data, it is known that the learning activity of the students after applying the SSCS learning model has improved towards the better from the first meeting to the fifth meeting, ie 35%, 45%, 55%, 68%, 77%. Based on the hypothesis test obtained ttable = 1.645 and tcount = 2.598 so obtained (2.598> 1.645) at 95% confidence interval. Because tcount > ttable then hypothesis in this research accepted. Thus, students 'math-problem-solving skills taught by SSCS learning models are higher than the students' uneducated mathematical problem-solving skills with SSCS learning modelsKeywords: Problem solving abilities, search, solve, sreate and share (SSCS) learning models

The low learning outcomes of students are caused by several problems encountered during the learning process, such as IPA learning process still used teacher centered and lecturing methode. The result of student learning competence still low result and the teacher hasn�t yet used learning models can make student will be active. One effort was made to improve students learning competence by applying problem solving learning models. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of problem solving, learning model to the students' learning competence SMP 13 Padang. This study is an experimental research using the design of The Static Group Comparison. The study population is all students of Class VIII SMPN 13 Padang. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. The control class uses the learning model commonly used in the classroom IE discovery learning model and experimental class using a problem solving learning model. The research instrument used is a test of learning result and affective and skill assessment in the form of observation sheet. Data were analyzed using t-test for knowledge, competence because the data were normally distributed and homogeneously. Data were analyzed using up-test for affective and skill competence.Result of hypothesis test in both classes of sample, found that class which uses problem solving, learning model have positive effect of student learning competence of Class VIII 6 SMPN 13 Padang such as knowledge, affective and skill competence

This research aims to improve senior high school students’ physics problem-solving skills through learning used IBMR learning model. This research was a pre-an experimental study with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The Methods of data collection used validation and test. The materials used to teach were valid category by two experts and can be used to practice physics problem-solving skills. The average post-test score physics problem-solving ability was 73.24 with an N-gain of 0.59 was classified as moderate. The success of IBMR learning model-based devices in practicing problem-solving abilities can be seen in the increase in the average score in each indicator of problem-solving abilities. The indicator of understanding the problem had the highest post-test average score of 94.58 with an N-gain of 0.89 in the high category. The problem-solving indicator had the lowest posttest average score was 58.22 with N-gain 0.39 and mean that it was the moderate category. Based on the results study, it can be concluded that the learning used by IBMR learning model can practice the ability to solve physics problems on heat material and its displacement. Learning with the IBMR learning model was expected to train students in solving physics problems. The stages in the IBMR learning model can help students

Abstrak - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Salafiyah Darul Falah Mataram yang berjumlah 153 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas VIII B dengan jumlah 28 siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif, dengan desain pre-eksperimen (One Group Pretest Postest Design). Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu menggunakan teknik cluster  random sampling . Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t test Sampel Related. Hasil perhitungan uji-t tes Sampel Related  didapatkan  sebesar dan sebesar dengan taraf signifikan . Karena , maka menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) efektif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa.Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Teachers Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model for students' math problem solving skills. Aim/Purpose: Within higher education, graduating students who are able to solve ill-structured, complex, open-ended, and collaborative, workplace problems is recognized as paramount. Because of this, there is a need to assess this skill across the curriculum. Background: This paper addresses this issue by assessing problem-solving across a computing curriculum using an assessment instrument shown to be reliable and valid. Methodology: The method is based upon the implementation of the assessment instrument that uses a scenario-based asynchronous discussion board measuring the ability of student groups to solve workplace problems. The sample are computing students from the 2nd, 3rd, 4th year, and master’s levels at a UAE university. Contribution: This paper shows the problem-solving skills of students over four years of study across a computing curriculum and demonstrates the effectiveness of the instrument. Findings: There was a general increase in student problem-solving performance from the 2nd, 3rd, 4th year, and master’s levels, but students often failed to meet the expected level of performance for their year of study. In addition, the instrument was effective in assessing problem-solving. Recommendations for Practitioners: This assessment instrument, or one similar, that uses a scenario-based asynchronous discussion board can be used to measure the ability of student groups to solve workplace problems. Impact on Society: Students must be prepared to solve workplace problems to meet the needs of 21st century employment. Future Research: Further research should be conducted with this assessment instrument, or one similar, outside of this fairly unique UAE- based context.
