The enormous economic potential of halal tourism has recently begun to be discussed. Crescent Rating data notes that in 2014 Muslims spend about USD126.1 billion globally on Islamic tourism, and Indonesia as the 6th most popular halal tourism site in the world. This potential needs to be cultivated by Indonesia. Lombok Island as one of the most popular Islamic tourism destinations in Indonesia - in 2015 it received two awards (the Best World Halal Tourism Destination and World Best Halal Honeymoon Destination). The governor of Nusa Tenggara Barat Zuelkiflimansyah has expressed interest in further developing halal tourism in Lombok by promoting some additional destinations such as Senggigi Beach, Gili Trawangan, and Rinjani Mountain. This paper offers SWOT analysis of the development of halal tourism on the Lombok island.  Keywords: Islamic Economy, Halal Tourism, Lombok Island

Landscape Planning for Tourism Development in Gunung Padang, Padang City, West Sumatra. Gunung Padang is one of the tourist attractions located in the city of Padang, this area is surrounded by vegetation and animals that live well, so this tourist attraction is included in the protected and preserved tourist areas. It has tourism potential such as tourist attractions, tourist activities, and tourism supporting facilities. Various tourism potentials have not been developed as a whole by the management. Based on this, it is necessary to optimize and provide recommendations in order to be developed. The purpose of this research is to develop landscape planning to support tourism development in Gunung Padang, Padang City, through the stages of preparation, inventory, analysis, synthesis, and planning aimed at sustainable tourism development. Analysis and synthesis are carried out to produce basic concepts and concepts of tourism development. The final product of this research is the planned tourism development site in Gunung Padang. The division of space is based on the needs and according to the conditions owned by the tourist area in order to support security and comfort in travel activities. The final result of this research is a map of the plan of attractions and tourist activities, as well as a map of the layout plan of tourist facilities in Gunung Padang.

The purpose of the work is   to study the natural resources and potential for the development of tourism in the Republic of Kazakhstan , to analyze the potential of this industry and to determine the prerequisites for the development of the tourism  market in the country.  Objectives of the work - a detailed description of the theoretical aspects of tourism, the history of its development, analysis of the tourism market, analysis of the development of tourism in the region, identification of problems in tourism development, search for solutions, focus on prospects for active tourism in the region. Methods: the work uses the views of the authors in the field of economics, tourism, systems analysis, methods of statistical analysis. The essence of the work is the basis for the formation and controversy of tourist clusters in Kazakhstan. The scientific result of the work is that special state courses on tourism development in Kazakhstan will be needed for training and preparation of qualified specialists, as well as for the development of regional tourism strategies and investment in tourism.

Researchers from different social sciences are increasingly interested in studying the role of institutions in regional development. Nevertheless, from the perspective of regional tourism development analysis, the role of institutions has been explored limitedly. Based on the institutional thickness approach, this study analyzed the role played by institutions in regional tourism development through a qualitative research procedure applied on a Latin American region. The study examined the institutional presence, the levels of interaction, the structures of domination and/or coalition patterns, and the common agendas in 28 institutions related to tourism in the region of Antioquia, Colombia. Results from this empirical analysis show that institutions play a decisive role in regional tourism development for reasons such as the allocation of economic resources, leadership, and interaction among stakeholders. Knowing these dynamics can be useful to boost better management and planning of tourism destinations throughout governance, coordination, and common agendas, and to enrich the debate on regional tourism development.

Cultural tourism is a tour where visitors traveling with the purpose of carrying out activities to enjoy cultural attractions, such as ancient. Cultural tourism is almost there in all regions in Indonesia one of Pagar Alam. Pagar Alam has varied tourism potential of one of ancient megalithic sites of cultural tourism. Remains of megalithic sites in Pagar Alam lying spread out and form a very diverse form of statues, dolmen, stone house. The existence of megalithic sites of cultural tourism at this time received less attention, availability of facilities and infrastructure that is not yet complete, as well as promotion and publicity that has been done is still lacking. This study aims to determine the potential role of the public and government's strategy of development of cultural tourism ancient megalithic sites in Pagar Alam. To achieve the objectives of this research method used is descriptive qualitative analysis methods, including analysis of existing conditions, analysis of the role of communities and governments, development analysis, and analysis of tourism development strategy by conducting a SWOT analysis. From the analysis performed that in the development of cultural tourism sites megaitikum many of the problems faced is the lack of coordination and attention from various parties, the limited funds so many poorly-maintained condition megalithic sites, tourism development has not been prioritized. Therefore, the role of government and society is needed in the development strategy of the megalithic sites of cultural tourism, by preparing a program of activities as the proposed development of cultural tourism.

The purpose of this article is to provide a theoretical overview of sustainable tourism as a tourism system that focuses on qualitative development, taking into account the quality of life and prosperity of the population, without causing damage in other aspects. The theoretical part deals with sustainable tourism and sustainable development. Based on these facts, it turns out that sustainable tourism is a subgroup of sustainable development. Thus, in this article there are given the differences between these two terms and other terms relevant to our research. It also provides an analysis of tourism development in Kosovo, including statistics on how much the tourism sector is financially supported by the Kosovo Government. Finally, a SWOT analysis of the current state of tourism in Kosovo is presented.

The festivals have had a very positive impact on tourism development, and on the promotion of destinations, they are positioned as important attractive elements that boost tourism in the several regions, as well as its economic and cultural development. This study aimed to analyse the motivation, quality, satisfaction and loyalty of two performing arts festivals participants (Andanças, Portugal and La Sierra, Spain). It followed a quantitative methodology, and questionnaires were applied to the participants of the events under analysis. The results of the test-t indicate that La Sierra festival participants (n=235), compared to Andanças festival participants (n=297), perceive the festival as having more quality (catering, hotel, information and transport), and are more faithful to the festival (even if prices increase). The results obtained contribute to a better understanding of the needs and perceptions of participants who practice festival tourism, particularly in performing arts festivals, supporting the manager's strategies in organising this type of event.
