<p>We studied the influence of certain vitamins on the intensity of the synthesis of polyphenolic compounds and carotenoids by some Basidiomycetes strains, such as <em>Laetiporus sulphureus</em> Ls-08, <em>Fomes fomentarius </em>Ff-1201 and <em>Fistulina hepatica</em> Fh-18. The registration of accumulation of dry biomass and content of polyphenols and carotenoids in the mycelia and culture filtrate of strains that were cultivated on glucose-peptone substrates (GPS) with vitamins was performed. The vitamins A, E, C, B<sub>1</sub>, B<sub>12</sub>, and PP at the concentration of 0.005, 0.01 and 0.05 g/l were applied as modification of GPS. We founded the species effect on the synthesis of vitamins, polyphenols, and carotenoids. We suggested separate application of vitamins A, E, B<sub>1</sub>, and B<sub>12</sub> at concentration of 0.01 g/ l to induce the synthesis of polyphenols and carotenoids. Results of the study will be used to develop a modification of GPS for the cultivation of strains of polyphenolic substances of basidiomycete origin.</p> <p><em>Keywords: Basidiomycetes, mycelium, culture filtrate, polyphenols, carotenoids, vitamins.</em></p>

<p>The <strong><em>aim </em></strong>of the study was to investigate the total content of polyphenolic substances in Basidiomycetes carpophores from 50 species, of which 27 belong to the order <em>Polyporales</em> and 23 to the order <em>Agaricales</em>. Introduced 23 strains of 8 species of Basidiomycetes. <strong><em>Methods.</em></strong> Gathered wild carpophores dried and crushed to a particle size of 0,1 till 0,01 mm and searching strains were cultured in Erlenmeyyers flasks by surface method on standard glucose-peptone culture medium. Determination of total content of polyphenolic compounds was carried out in ethanol extracts of mycological material by a modified method of Folin-Chokalteu. Completely dry biomass of carpophores and mycelium was determined gravimetrically. <strong><em>Results.</em></strong> There was identified the species of polyporal fungi <em>Ganoderma applanatum</em>, <em>Ganoderma lucidum</em>, <em>Laetiporus sulphureus</em> and <em>Fomes fomentarius</em> and types of agarical mushrooms <em>Stropharia rugosoannulata</em>, <em>Agrocybe cylindracea</em>, <em>Tricholoma flavovirens</em>, <em>Flammulina velutipes</em>, <em>Pleurotus ostreatus</em> and <em>Fistulina hepatica</em> high in polyphenolic compounds. It was determined the content of polyphenols ranging from more than 60 mg / g completely dry biomass. For introduced strains established dynamics of growth and accumulation of polyphenolic compounds in the mycelium and culture filtrate during fermentation on glucose-peptone medium. All cultures reach a maximum accumulation of biomass on the 12th day of growth. <em>Shizophyllum commune</em> Sc-1101 and 10 and <em>F. velutipes </em>F-202 have been identified as the most productive strains. The lowest accumulation of absolutely dry biomass was recorded for strain <em>P. ostreatus</em> P-192 and strain <em>F. fomentarius</em> Ff-09. Cultures have investigated individual value growth such as biomass accumulation in the applied cultivation conditions, which probably reflects the suitability of the medium for their growth and genotypic characteristics. Strains are overwhelmingly able to accumulate polyphenolic compounds in both mycelium and culture fluid during the whole period of cultivation. Maximum content of polyphenols in the mycelium to 96%, and in the culture fluid - for 91% of strains coincided with the end of their term cultivation. Calculated correlation coefficient between the content of polyphenols in the mycelium and culture fluid showed that there is a very high positive correlation of 73.2%, a positive high at 17.4% and the average 4.5% of experiment data. <strong><em>Conclusion.</em></strong> The strains of species <em>Shizophyllum</em> <em>commune</em>, <em>Pleurotus ostreatus</em>, <em>Fistulina hepatica</em> and <em>Laetiporus sulphureus</em> were selected for further research in order to obtain polyphenols mycelial and extracellular origin.<em></em></p> <p><em>Key words:</em> <em>polyphenols, Basidiomycetes, carpophores, mycelium, cultural filtrate</em></p>

<p>The effect of microelements on growth and accumulation of carotenoids highly productive strains of basidiomycetes at surface cultivation on glucose-peptone medium was investigated. The objects of research are 3 wood destroying strain. There are <em>Laetiporus sulphureus</em> (Bull.) Murrill Ls-08, <em>Fomes fomentarius</em> (L.) Fr. Ff-1201 from the order <em>Polyporales</em> and <em>Fistulina hepatica</em> (Schaeff.) Sibth Fh-18 from the order <em>Agaricales</em>. Research materials are strains mycelium and culture filtrate (CF). Absolutely dry biomass (ADB) mycelium was determined by the gravimetric method, the content of carotenoids was determined by spectrophotometric method in acetone extracts of the Vetshteyn formula. Established individual influence of microelements on the accumulation of biomass and carotenoids of basidiomycetes strains. The possibility of the regulation of these processes by introducing into the glucose-peptone medium of various Fe, Cu, Zn, Ni and Mn sulphate. So, the best to increase the intensity of the growth processes and the accumulation of carotenoids strain of<em> L. sulphureus</em> Ls-08 is an experimental environment which includes Zn sulfate in a concentration of 8 mmol/L. To induce the accumulation of ADB and carotenoids in the mycelium and CF of strain <em>F fomentarius</em> Ff-1201 making in is expedient Mn sulfate in a concentration of 1.6 mmol/L. To improve carotenogenesis of <em>F. hepatica</em> Fh-18 strain expedient entry in GPM Mn sulphate at concentration of 8 mmol/L. These allow to optimize the concentration of microelements in nutrient medium for the cultivation of carotenoids high-producing strains of Basidiomycetes.</p><p align="left"> </p>

Досліджено видовий склад ксилотрофних макроміцетів у грабово-сосново-дубових деревостанах (стаціонар кафедри лісівництва: секція I – 120-130-річне материнське насадження і 50-річні лісостани, відтворені природним шляхом після здійснених різних способів поступових рубань – секції II, III, IV) та в сосново-букових, букових і соснових деревостанах Страдчівського навчально-виробничого лісокомбінату. Найбільше різноманіття ксилотрофних макроміцетів виявлено в материнському деревостані. Серед дослідних секцій найбільшу видову різноманітність ксилотрофних грибів виявлено на секції III, де проведена рівномірна поступова двоприйомна рубка, найменшу – на секції II, де проведена рівномірна поступова триприйомна рубка. Однак таксаційні показники деревостанів, відновлених природним шляхом, не вплинули істотно на видовий склад афілофорових грибів. Гірший санітарний стан характерний для материнського деревостану на контрольній секції, що пов'язано із значним віком дерев і проведенням у 2013-2014 рр. на дослідних секціях доглядових рубань низовим методом. Загалом санітарний стан дуба на всіх контрольних секціях є гіршим порівняно із сосною та грабом. Для дерев дуба також встановлено найвищий коефіцієнт ослабленості на усіх дослідних секціях. Інтенсивність процесів диференціації дерев за санітарним станом найвищим є на контролі, де деревостан уже перейшов у вікову групу – перестиглі. У сосново-букових, чистих букових і соснових деревостанах формується склад ксилотрофних макроміцетів, ідентичний з грабово-сосново-дубовими лісостанами. Водночас бук і сосна у чистих деревостанах мають гірші показники санітарного стану, ніж у мішаних лісостанах. У чистих соснових і букових деревостанах вищим є коефіцієнт інтенсивності процесів диференціації дерев порівняно із мішаними насадженнями. Встановлено зростання кількості дерев із різноманітними патологіями та пошкодженнями в чистих деревостанах бука порівняно із мішаними. У чистих сосняках вищою є кількість дерев із стовбуровими гнилями та плодовими тілами трутовиків. У всіх обстежених мішаних деревостанах переважають макроміцети із екологічної групи сапротрофи на незруйнованій деревині. Серед паразитичних макроміцетів найбільшу небезпеку становлять Fomes fomentarius, Laetiporus sulphureus, Ganoderma applanatum, Porodaedalea pini, які є причиною втрати технічної якості деревини.

This article is devoted to investigation of the dynamics of growth and level of spontaneous and induced lipid peroxidation intensity of Basidiomycetes strains grown by surface cultivation on a glucose-peptone medium. The materials of the research are mycelium and culture filtrates (CF) of 57 strains (5 belong to 5 species from the order Polyporales s.l., and 52 belong to 7 species of the order Agaricales s.l.). To study the dynamics of growth we used a weighing method for determining the accumulation of absolutely dry biomass. Intensity of lipid peroxidation was determined by a modified spectrophotometric method for content of active to thiobarbituric acid products. It was found that the most productive in absolutely dry biomass accumulation were the strains Flammulina velutipes (Curt.: Fr.) Sing. F-610 and Pleurotus eryngii (DC.: Fr.) Quél. P-er. The level of spontaneous and induced LPO intensity in mycelia of all strains was higher than this figure in the culture filtrate and increased with the duration of cultivation. Dependencies between the content of lipid peroxidation products in the mycelia and CF were not established. The lowest values were recorded for biomass accumulation by the strains Pleurotus ostreatus (Jacq.: Fr.) P. Kumm. P-14, P-192 and P. citrinopileatus Singer. Р-сіtr. Groups of basidiomycete cultures with different levels of TBA-AP were identified. Spontaneous and induced intensivity of lipid peroxidation in all studied strains of mycelia was higher than the figure in the culture filtrate. The intensity of lipid peroxidation in both mycelia and culture filtrate constantly increased, which can be explained by the growing shortage of certain nutrients (primarily carbon) and increased concentration of metabolic products in the medium. The ratio of spontaneous and induced lipid peroxidation intensity is specific to each strain and is independent of its systematic position. Shifting of prooxidant-antioxidant balance to a relatively stationary level is a mark of stress reaction. LPO-products can be both inductors and primary mediators of stress as a special class of biological systems. Selected strains with high rates of growth and LPO ntensity are promising for applications in biotechnology and ecology.

Polypore inhabiting beetles in the Moscow region were studied. Sixty-one polypore species harboured 261 species of beetles (174 species coming to polypores as imago, 87 species developing in polypores at larval stage). The highest number of species was found in polypores growing on deciduous trees: Fomes fomentarius (102 beetle species), Polyporus squamosus (94 species), Laetiporus sulphureus (81 species) and Piptoporus betulinus (62 species). Imaginal species diversity is much higher than larval, although the later can be more abundant. Ennearthron cornutum (found on 20 species of polypores) and Cis comptus (16 species) occurred in the largest number of fungal species.
