The article is based on the materials of the Fifth International Theoretical Scientific Conference “Communication trends in the post-literacy era: polylingualism, multimodality and polyculturalism as preconditions for new creativity”, which took place at the Institute of Humanities in November 26–28, 2020. The authors analyze the main communication trends that have developed under the influence of the Covid-2019 pandemic in the sociocultural space in 2020. The main trend is the use of artificial intelligence in such areas of socioculture as communication, media, education. The concept of creativity is clarified, the creative possibilities and limits of human and artificial intelligence are considered, the threats and dangers of the artificial intelligence‘s development and its implementation in various spheres of human life are analyzed, such as education, socialization and inculturation, journalism and mass information, contemporary art, museum and exhibition activity. The conclusion is made about the need for further interdisciplinary research of artificial intelligence in the humanitarian sphere.

The text reviews the Arts and Machine Civilization International Scientific Conference. The conference took place on March 30—April 2, 2021, and was organized by the State Institute for Art Studies, GITR Film and Television School, and the Saint Petersburg State University. SIAS has been hosting conferences on contemporary culture, screen art and television for 17 years. This year, for the first time in the history of such forums, the researchers were tasked with analyzing the new things that machines have brought to the arts and, in general, to human life. The conference took its special place among the forums held over the past year in Russia and abroad in the following areas: artificial intelligence (Artificial Intelligence Journey, Moscow,Russia); machine learning (International Conferenceon Machine Learning, Vienna, Austria; 3rd International Conference on Machine Learning and Machine Intelligence, Hangzhou, China); civilization of knowledge (Civilization of Knowledge: Russian Realities, Moscow, Russia), etc. The novelty of the conference lies in the unification of the seemingly incompatible phenomena: art and machine civilization. As is commonly known, art was traditionally opposed to technology as something alien, sometimes hostile, although the both were born in human mind and created by human hands. Until now, the expression “machine civilization” in art has been used mainly in the genre of fantasy and with an emphasis on its negative connotations. The purpose of the conference was to comprehend the artistic practices in the era of machine civilization, get acquainted with current hypotheses, publish new facts and discuss modern terminologies (law of spontaneity, law of semantic uncertainty, algorithmic apophenia, post-opera, artificial life and new vitality). Along with the study of new challenges, old issues were raised, which became in demand in the machine civilization: originals and copies of artworks, the boundaries of conventionality and overcoming distrust in new media, narratives and poetics in serious and entertaining screen genres. The conference reports were divided into six blocks: Theoretical Models, ScreenArts—Cinema, Fine Arts, Music, PC Games, and Digitalization.

The scientific problem of economics “Managing the quality of human life” is formulated on the basis of artificial intelligence, algebra of logic and logical-probabilistic calculus. Managing the quality of human life is represented by managing the processes of his treatment, training and decision making. Events in these processes and the corresponding logical variables relate to the behavior of a person, other persons and infrastructure. The processes of the quality of human life are modeled, analyzed and managed with the participation of the person himself. Scenarios and structural, logical and probabilistic models of managing the quality of human life are given. Special software for quality management is described. The relationship of human quality of life and the digital economy is examined. We consider the role of public opinion in the management of the “bottom” based on the synthesis of many studies on the management of the economics and the state. The bottom management is also feedback from the top management.

This article describes the documentation centre at the contemporary art museum MAC/VAL in Vitry-sur-Seine in the Val-de-Marne, outside Paris, and in particular its audiovisual collections. It outlines the problems that have to be faced when seeking to make this material – documentaries and artists’ videos, whether purchased or produced in-house, even the museum’s audiovisual archives – available to the centre’s users.

Processing and control systems based on artificial intelligence (AI) have progressively improved mobile robotic exoskeletons used in upper-limb motor rehabilitation. This systematic review presents the advances and trends of those technologies. A literature search was performed in Scopus, IEEE Xplore, Web of Science, and PubMed using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) methodology with three main inclusion criteria: (a) motor or neuromotor rehabilitation for upper limbs, (b) mobile robotic exoskeletons, and (c) AI. The period under investigation spanned from 2016 to 2020, resulting in 30 articles that met the criteria. The literature showed the use of artificial neural networks (40%), adaptive algorithms (20%), and other mixed AI techniques (40%). Additionally, it was found that in only 16% of the articles, developments focused on neuromotor rehabilitation. The main trend in the research is the development of wearable robotic exoskeletons (53%) and the fusion of data collected from multiple sensors that enrich the training of intelligent algorithms. There is a latent need to develop more reliable systems through clinical validation and improvement of technical characteristics, such as weight/dimensions of devices, in order to have positive impacts on the rehabilitation process and improve the interactions among patients, teams of health professionals, and technology.

The development of science and technology is always ahead and has no point and seems limitless. Although human beings are the agents who started this development but eventually faced with a bitter situation which can sacrifice human moral, right and interest of our future. Shariah criminal offenses nowadays can not only occur or be witnessed by a person in a meeting physically with the perpetrator. As a result of technological developments, such behavior can occur and can be witnessed in general by larger groups. Although the illegal treatment which is not in accordance with sharia law and the moral crisis issues happening surrounding us and is rampant on social media, no enforcement is done on perpetrators who use social media medium. According to sharia principles, something that is wrong should be prevented and it is the responsibility of all Muslim individuals. But what is happening today, some Shariah criminal behavior, especially in relation to ethics, can occur easily using facilities technology driven by technological ingenuity. If the application of existing legal provisions is limited and has obstacles for enforcement purposes, then the problem needs to be overcome due to development the law should be in line with current developments. The study aims to identify a segment and cases of the moral crisis on social media and online using the artificial intelligence (AI) application and to identify the needs for shariah prevention. This thesis uses qualitative approaches, adopts library-based research, and, by content analysis of documents, applies the literature review approach. The findings show that the use of social media and AI technology has had an impact on various issues such as moral crisis, security, misuse, an intrusion of personal data, and the construction of AI beyond human control. Thus, the involvement and cooperation of various parties are needed in regulating and addressing issues that arise as a result of the use of social media and AI technology in human life.

"Reflections on the concept of objective art in the context of contemporary art. Objective art communicates about the human being and his/her place in the universe, about the cosmic laws and the role they play in human life and provide clues as to how man can relate to them. From literary sources attesting to the idea that art in its origin had the role of transmitting knowledge to future generations, we deduce that in ancient times all art forms could be read like a book, and those who knew how to read, fully understood the meaning of the knowledge that was incorporated in these art forms. Nevertheless, there are two forms of art, one very different from the other: objective art and subjective art. Everything that we call art today is subjective art. Objective art is the authentic work resulted from the deliberate, premeditated efforts of a conscious artist. In the act of his creation, the artist avoids or eliminates any subjective or arbitrary element and the impression that such a work evokes in others is always defined. In a time of climate change, environmental degradation, and social injustice, the question of the value and purpose of human life has become urgent. What are the grounds for hope in a wounded world? This Sacred Life gives a deep philosophical and religious articulation of humanity's identity and vocation by rooting people in a symbiotic, meshwork world that is saturated with sacred gifts. The benefits of artificial intelligence and genetic enhancement notwithstanding, Norman Wirzba shows how an account of humans as interdependent and vulnerable creatures orients people to be a creative, healing presence in a world punctuated by wounds. He argues that the commodification of places and creatures needs to be resisted so that all life can be cherished and celebrated. Humanity's fundamental vocation is to bear witness to God's love for creaturely life, and to commit to the construction of a hospitable and beautiful world.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a broad and complex area of study, which can be difficult for non-specialists to understand. Yet, its ultimate promise is to create computer systems that manifest human intelligence. This chapter coins “Machinzation” for the application of literary machine (computer) to human operations. This clearly has major implications for library and information science profession. In principle and practice, AI has penetrated virtually all walks of human life. Many authors have previously provided in-depth overviews of AI technologies. Service is the vocal point of librarianship and particularly in the era where information is the fifth and most important factor of production. Cloud computing stems from the principle of AI while when applied into the operations and routines in libraries and information center gives a brand new concept “CloudLibrarianship.” The new concept is dealt with in this work. Emergence of this concept opens up the entrepreneur opportunities in the information sector of the economy-inforpreneurship. This chapter therefore examines certain key aspects of AI that determine its potential utility as a tool for enhancing and supporting library operations.
