Enlarging the quantity of seedlings of elite families and discarding inferior sugarcane (Saccharum spp.) families could improve sugarcane breeding and selection efficiency. The feasibility of using the method Dynamic Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (DTOPSIS) method was explored to identify superior sugarcane families. Data on 5 traits: Brix, millable stalks per stool (MS), stalk diameter (SD), plant height (PH), and percent pith were collected from two family trials having 17 families and two check cultivars at two sites including plant-cane and first-ratoon crops. The rest of the seedlings were planted into field for routine selection in the regular program. The DTOPSIS method calculates a comprehensive index (Ci) which expresses the closeness of a solution to the ideal solution and was used in this study to test the distance of each family to the ideal family. The Ci of the families was compared to the family selection rate in the regular program by determining the selection rate at Stage 1 to Stage 4 for each family in the regular program. The result indicated that the Ci values calculated from family trials were significantly (p<0.01) correlated to the selection rate at Stage 2 (r=0.8059), Stage3 (r=0.7967), and Stage 4 (r=0.8202), and indicating that promising clones were selected from families with higher Ci values in the family trial. Thus, it could be feasible to use DTOPSIS to determine elite sugarcane families and to eliminate inferior families and thereby, increasing the variety selection efficiency.

The SSX genes are members of the family of cancer/testis antigens that encode tumor-associated antigens recognizable by autologous cytolytic T lymphocytes. Their expression is common in tumors of diverse lineages and absent in normal tissues except testis and thyroid. In this study, sixty-seven neuroblastomas (NB) (12 stage 1, 13 stage 2, 12 stage 3, 12 stage 4S and 13 stage 4) were examined by RT-PCR and a sensitive chemiluminescent detection method for SSX-2 and SSX-4 expression. Seventy-two percent (13/18) of stage 4 NB expressed SSX-2 and 67% (12/18) expressed SSX-4. SSX-2 and SSX-4 positivity correlated with metastatic NB stage 4 (p=0.02 and p=0.006, respectively). Sensitivity experiments showed SSX-2 detection was one tumor cell in 106 normal cells, and one in 104 for SSX-4. All normal tissues (n=6), with the exception of testis, normal bone marrow (BM, n=12) and normal peripheral blood (PBL, n=10) were negative for SSX-2 and SSX-4 expression. Thirty-two BM and 14 PBL obtained from 35 stage 4 NB patients at 24 months from their diagnosis were evaluated for SSX-2 expression. Unlike another cancer/testis antigen, GAGE, only one BM sample was positive, and no prognostic utility could be established. Further investigation of SSX expression at other relevant time points is warranted.

The sale of UD Truck Quester unit at PT Astra International UD Truck SO Semarang branch does not show any improvement in 2015. This condition even tends to stagnate. Not achieving the target that has been set is an indication that the marketing strategy that is used today has not given optimal results. Therefore, the need for a new marketing strategy that can drive sales in PT Astra International UD Truck SO Semarang branch. Nevertheless, of course the marketing strategy developed will be very diverse and needs to be chosen well so as to give the best results. For this reason we use the Analytical Network Process (ANP) method and also TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) to select the best marketing strategy in choosing the best marketing strategy. The result of this research got the conclusion that best strategy chosen for PT. Astra International UD Truck SO Semarang Branch is a segmentation based on the ideal solution of negative and positive

Due to the lack of trusted third parties as guarantees in peer-to-peer (P2P) networks, how to ensure trusted transactions between peers has become a research hotspot. However, the open and distributed characteristics of P2P networks have brought challenges to network security, and there are problems such as node fraud and unavailability of services in the network. To solve the problem of how to select trusted transaction peers in P2P groups, a new trust model, GT-Bidding, is proposed in this paper. This model follows the bidding process of human society. First, each service peer applies for a group of guarantee peers and carries out credit mortgages for this service. Second, based on the entropy and TOPSIS method (Technology for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution) approaching the ideal solution, a set of ideal trading sequences is selected. Then, the transaction impact function is used to assign weights to the selected guarantee peers and service nodes, respectively; thus, the comprehensive trust of each service node can be calculated. Finally, the service peer is verified using feedback based on the specific confidence level, which encourages the reputation of the service and its guarantee peers to update. Experiments show that GT-Bidding improves the successful transaction rate and resists complex attacks.

Remission is a reduction of criminal punishment given to prisoners who have been regulated in the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. The process of giving scores to inmates in Class IIA Palu Correctional Institution with certain criteria aims to facilitate the employees of Palu Class IIA to get recommendation of remission of prisoners. The decision support system in this research uses Technique for Order Preference method by Similiarity to Ideal Solution ( TOPSIS) which is one of the multicriteria decision-making methods, where the basic idea of this method is that the chosen alternative has the closest distance to the ideal solution and the furthest from the ideal negative solution. In determining the inmates who receive remission recommendation in Correctional Institution Class IIA Palu there are 6 criteria which become the basis of decision making such as health condition, special skill and leadership skill, social life, never breaking order and not being a recidivist. The final result in this study is the result of calculation of proximity relative to the ideal solution that is sorted from the highest value to the lowest value so that employees of Correctional Institution Class IIA can easily take a decision on remission recommendations by looking at the results of the sorting

The article analyzes the family theme in the novel «Resurrection», examines the attitude of Leo Tolstoy towards the ideal family, the image of which in the work, in comparison with the previous work of the writer, only insignificant corrections associated with the idea of the role of the family in the spiritual ascent of man. The author of the article addresses the dispute between Tolstoy and Dostoevsky about Russian families, which unfolded in the 1870s. and shows that in the last novel, Tolstoy makes extensive use of the previously unacceptable image of a random family, described by Dostoevsky in the Writer's Diary and the novel Teen. The gallery of random families presented in «Resurrection» includes both noble families and families from the people, allows Tolstoy to enlarge the national crisis that unfolded in Russia at the end of the 19th century, to show its all-encompassing nature. The writer not only exposes the power, state and judicial systems, he shows how a lie accompanies a person coming from a random family, makes him incapable of compassion. The article examines numerous realizations of the family theme in the novel, analyzes the images of characters who are capable and not capable of family life, as well as the path of the protagonist, who in the final of the work not only approves the highest Divine laws as a guide for life, but also meets the example of a real family. contrasting with all previously presented random families. The author of the work demonstrates how, as the novel progresses, Nekhlyudov's life is getting closer and closer to the big popular world, correlates with the fate of the country – Nekhlyudov becomes a truly epic hero.

AbstractTwo recent Hong Kong cases have highlighted the developing dissonance between family law norms in Hong Kong and other jurisdictions. The first entailed a challenge to the Hong Kong Director of Immigration’s refusal to recognize an overseas same-sex civil partnership as analogous to marriage. The second concerned a parental order for a child born overseas as a result of a surrogacy arrangement to an unmarried commissioning couple. These two cases challenged a specific conceptualization of the family in Hong Kong law: a preference for a heterosexual, married couple as the basis for the family unit. However, other common law jurisdictions would recognize the applicants’ claims to family status, as do international human rights principles. This article explores the scope and intersection of Hong Kong’s family law values, its private international law obligations, and the potential for invoking the public policy exception in these cases. In doing so, it tests the extent to which Hong Kong law’s conceptualization of the “Ideal Family” can be legitimately imposed to oust the claims of the “Other Family” to legal recognition.

In the new inspection regime (NIR) of port state control (PSC), the criteria for being judged as a standard risk ship (SRS) is too broad. Some ships are classified as SRS even though they have a large number of ship deficiencies. This paper develops a selection system to identify the hidden risk of target ships in the SRS category using PSC inspection records. This system allows the target ship to be used to help reduce cases of flags being greylisted or blacklisted, which can cause huge shipping losses. This study analyzes ship deficiency data in the Tokyo memorandum of understanding (Tokyo MoU) database. It adopts the multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) model as a data processing technique to build a risk assessment scale. It uses fuzzy importance performance analysis (F-IPA) and technology for order preference by similarity to the ideal solution (TOPSIS) for its analysis. Subsequently, the weights of F-IPA and TOPSIS are adopted into the MCDM model. This article also consulted the Tokyo MoU database. It has been verified that the next time PSC inspection, the system hits 83.3% of the hidden risk ships in the SRS category. Thus, this system will help inspectors be more insightful for target ships.
