In this study, the researchers focus on implementing mahārah kalām book at Al-Azhar Arabic course, Pare. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The data were collected using observation, interviews, and documentation. Miles and Huberman techniques were used to analyzing the data. The results reveal that: first, the textbooks used are books compiled directly by the founder of the course. There are al-muhādaṡah 1, mufradāt 1500 vocabularies, and al-qawāid al-taysīr. Second, in the learning process, the teacher used various methods, namely conversation, singing, question answering, and memorization. Third, the daily evaluation of speaking skills is in the form of a test that requires the students to make a story, which should be memorized and then practiced in front of the class. Finally, the final evaluation covers all the materials learned within 5 -10 minutes.

ABSTRACTThis study aims to find out and evaluate the process of civic literacy socialization to establish the ethics of young citizens and the implications towards personal resilience in Surakarta and formulating the socialization model of civic literacy as a form of citizenship education.This research was conducted in Surakarta with the target of community conducting citizenship education activities. This research used field research with descriptive qualitative approach which describes citizenship education practice which is done informally in socialization of civic literacy activities. The results showed that the socialization of civic literacy was done informally with habituation, development, and learning which was done continuously and had the objective to form the ethics of citizens with the perspective of personal resilience. This research also produces a model of civic literacy as a planning in the learning process which contains information about how to be an ethical citizen, understand the rights and obligations, have a sense of responsibility and nationalism that is implemented in the life of society, nation and state.ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan mengevaluasi proses sosialisasi civic literacy dalam pembentukan etika warganegara muda di Kota Surakarta serta merumuskan model sosialisasi civic literacy sebagai bentuk pendidikan kewarganegaraan kemasyarakatan (citizenship education).Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kota Surakarta dengan sasaran komunitas yang melakukan kegiatan sosialisasi materi kewarganegaraan di lingkungan masyarakat. Penelitian merupakan penelitian lapangan berupa pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang mendeskripsikan praktik citizenship education,  dilakukan secara informal di masyarakat berupa kegiatan sosialisasi civic literacy. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi civic literacy dilakukan secara informal dengan pembiasaan, pengembangan, dan pembelajaran secara berkelanjutan memiliki tujuan untuk membentuk etika warganegara berperspektif ketahanan pribadi. Penelitian ini juga menghasilkan suatu model civic literacy sebagai perencanaan dalam proses pembelajaran yang berisi informasi tentang bagaimana menjadi warganegara yang beretika, paham hak dan kewajibannya, memiliki rasa tanggungjawab dan rasa cinta tanah air yang diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat, berbangsa dan bernegara.

Harmonious communication has an important role in teaching and learning process, especially in encouraging the success of teaching and learning process in the classroom. This research was conducted to know the student's response to the implementation of Think Pair Share strategy in Speaking course. This strategy emphasizes how students are more active in communicating using English in the classroom. The purpose of this research is 1) how the implementation of Think Pair Share strategy in class; 2) how students respond to the Think Pair Share strategy in the classroom; The design of this study is descriptive-qualitative to answer these questions. In this study, researchers themselves are the main instrument. In collecting data, researchers used observation sheets, and field notes.

This study examines the effectiveness of using the iqra' method to improve the ability to read the Qur'an to convert students at Assalam Islamic Solidarity School in Jantho City. Based on the facts in the field, the convert students who are already young have not been able to read the Qur'an well. This institution seeks to improve the quality of convert students in the Qur'an reading, which aims to be one of the motivations for other students to study the Qur'an well. This research has two objectives, namely: How is the ability to read the Qur’an, and the use of the iqra' method to convert students at Assalam Islamic Solidarity School in Jantho City. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Respondents in this study were teachers and students. Data collection techniques in this study are using observation and interviews. From the results of the study found by researchers that the use of iqra' method has been effective against the ability to read for convert students, although there are difficulties in the learning process, caused by lughat (pronunciation) their tongues are still stiff. From this study it can be concluded that every educational institution that is specifically in charge of the education of the Qur'an must be able to improve its quality in carrying out the Qur'anic learning process especially in terms of reading the letters, so that every student, especially converts, can learn the Qur'an 's well and correctly so that they can instill Islamic laws based on the Qur'an and as-Sunnah.

This Researcheraims to describe the implementation of integrated quality management in educationat MTs Negeri 6 Banjar on customer focus, total engagement, measurement, commitment, and continuous improvement. This research usesthe theory of Jerome S. Arcaro. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection is done by conducting interviews, observations, and documentation. Analysis of the data used in this study was carried out by reduce the data, after that it is presented in the form of a description, and verified by conclusion.

The purpose of this study is to describe education for the aboriginal community in Tanah Menang, Bungku’s Village, Batanghari District, Jambi Province, Indonesia. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach. We collected data through interviews, observations, and documents. The results found that: 1) the education for Orang Rimba in Tanah Menang provides since 2017 that focused on a base education; 2) the teacher creates the lesson material through the picture, and puzzle fixed with their environment; 3) the primary method of learning is teacher-centered, 4) the average of students age is 10 to 20 years old; 5) the learning process conveyed in bilingual, heritage language of Orang Rimba and Bahasa.

Abstrak Kepemimpinan kiai dalam pondok pesantren sangat penting  karena pesantren merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang misi utamanya untuk mencetak generasi penerus bangsa yang berakhlak mulai. Pesantren menjadi tempat yang aman dan nyaman dalam pembelajaran serta mampu menarik minat para remaja untuk belajar di dalamnya. Untuk itu, fungsi manajemen pesantren sangat penting diterapkan. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada bagaimana manajemen kepemimpinan kiai dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional santri di Pondok Pesantren Husnul Ri’ayah Suboh Situbondo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Peneliti membahas secara gamblang permasalahan yang terjadi. Berdasarkan fokus penelitian dan metode yang digunakan, penelitian ini sampai pada simpulan bahwa manajemen kepemimpinan kiai di Pondok Pesantren Husnul Ri’ayah secara fungsi manajemen planing,organizing, actuating, controling sudah terlaksana dengan baik. Peningkatan kecerdasan emosional santri di Pondok Pesantren Husnul Ri’ayah dipengaruhi oleh pengelolaan manajemen yang baik. Oleh karena itu profesionalitas kepemimpinan seorang kiai dalam menjalankan roda oranisasi pesantren khususnya dalam penggerakan mempunyai peran yang sangat penting. Seorang kiai dituntut mampu menumbuhkan semangat belajar dan selalu memotivasi para santri dalam setiap kegiatan, bukan hanya menjalankan kewajiban semata tetapi lebih pada itu kecerdasan emosionalnyapun benar-benar tercapai berasaskan sosial keagamaan. Kata Kunci: kepemimpinan kiai, kecerdasan emosional, santri, pondok pesantren   Abstract The leadership of kiai in an Islamic boarding school is important, as an Islamic boarding school is an institution having the main goal to generate promising generation who has akhlaqul karimah. Islamic boarding school needs to be such a safe and comfortable place in implementing the learning process and attracting students’ interest to learn, and for that reason the management aspect of Islamic boarding school needs to be well established. This study is focused on how kiai management develops POAC to improve santri's emotional intelligence in Islamic Boarding School of Husnul Ri'ayah Suboh Situbondo. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach where researchers discuss clearly the problems that occur. Based on the focus of the research and the methods used, this study concluded that the Management of Kiai Leadership in Husnul Ri'ayah Islamic Boarding School, in the managerial functions of Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controling has been implemented very well. The increase in students' emotional intelligence in the Husnul Ri'ayah Boarding School is influenced by good managemen. Therefore the professionalism of a kiai's leadership in running the boarding school organization especially in mobilizing the santro has a very important role. How a kiai is able to foster a spirit of learning and always motivate students in every activity, not only carry out their obligations but also his emotional intelligence has been achieved well based on religious social. ABSTRACT  This study aims to describe the content of religious values found in Hanggu dance in the community of Toreloto village, Lahewa sub-district, North Nias. The theories used in this study include Text theory by Nurwani and Gadamer Hermeneutics theory. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Descriptive aims to describe or describe. Qualitative methods consist of three methods of data collection: 1) observation, 2) interviews, 3) utilization of written documents, and interviews. This research produced knowledge about the existence of Islamic cultural backgrounds that developed in the Nias islands, precisely in Toreloto Village, Lahewa sub-district, North Nias. Hanggu dance is an art that builds Islamic principles or values. This can be seen in the elements that exist in the Hanggu dance, namely, motion (religious value of human-god relations in the motion of greetings and religious values of human-human relations), music (religious values of human-god relations and religious values of human-human relations) , themes (religious values of human-god relations), clothing (religious values of human relations and religious values of human-human relations), property (religious values of human-god relations) and floor patterns (religious values of human relations). The religious value intended in this discussion is a learning process in people's lives where an art can create a harmonious relationship between creatures and the creator and among fellow humans. Keyword : Religious Value, Hanggu Dance, Gadamer Hermeneutics.     ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kandungan nilai religius yang terdapat dalam tari Hanggu pada masyarakat desa Toreloto, kecamatan Lahewa, Nias Utara. Teori-teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi teori Teks oleh Nurwani dan teori Hermeneutika Gadamer. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Deskriptif bertujuan untuk menggambarkan atau menguraikan. Metode kualitatif terdiri dari tiga cara pengumpulan data : 1)observasi, 2)wawancara, 3)pemanfaatan dokumen tertulis, dan hasil wawancara. Penelitian ini menghasilkan ilmu pengetahuan mengenai eksistensi tari berlatar belakang kebudayaan Islam yang berkembang di kepulauan Nias, tepatnnya di Desa Toreloto, kecamatan Lahewa, Nias Utara. Tari Hanggu merupakan kesenian yang membangun prinsip ataupun nilai-nilai Islami. Hal ini terlihat dalam element-element yang ada pada tari Hanggu yaitu, gerak (Nilai religius hubungan manusia-tuhan pada gerak salam dan nilai religius hubungan manusi-manusia), musik (nilai religius hubungan manusia-tuhan dan nilai religius hubungan manusia-manusia), tema (nilai religius hubungan manusia-tuhan), busana (nilai religius hubungan manusi-tuhan dan nilai religius hubungan manusia-manusia), property (nilai religius hubungan manusia-tuhan) dan pola lantai (nilai religius hubungan manusi-tuhan). Nilai religius yang dimaksudkan dalam pembahasan ini adalah suatu proses pembelajaran dalam kehidupan masyarakat dimana suatu kesenian dapat menciptakan hubungan yang harmonis antara makhluk dengan sang pencipta dan  antar sesama manusia. Kata kunci : Nilai Religius, Tari Hanggu , Hermeneutika Gadamer.

The purpose of this study is describing the types of code switching spoken by teacher and students in teaching process. The research problem is what the types of code switching in the classroom are. The researcher uses descriptive qualitative approach as method for analyzing the data. The researcher collects the data by recording and writing on Table observation what teacher and students said in teaching-learning process, then collected it and classified. From the data analysis, the type of code switching which mostly was used by the teacher and the student during learning process was metaphorical code switching and situational code switching.

All educational institutions try to form students who have faith and noble character. In this case the teacher has a central role to participate in the process, especially for Islamic education teachers. In the teaching and learning process not only provides knowledge, but must show aspects of educating morals to students. Therefore the strategy that is owned by the teacher in forming moral character must be appropriate so that the learning process is more effective and efficient. The purpose of this study was to determine the values ​​of moral values ​​implanted by Islamic education teachers at and to find out the strategies used by Islamic education teachers in shaping students' morals. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with methods of literature. The results of this study indicate that the formation of morals by Islamic education teachers is by maintaining cleanliness, caring for others and being responsible for what has been done. While the strategy used by Islamic education teachers in shaping the morals of students is by giving examples to students and accustoming Dhuha prayer and Dhuhr prayer in congregation, and reading the Qur'an together so that students have noble character.

This Collaborative Classroom Action Research aimed at enhancing students’ speaking skill through the application of Circle Game. It was conducted in one cycle consisting of two meetings. The subject was the seventh of C class of SMPN 2 Alas Barat consisting of 22 students. The types of data were qualitative (acquiring observation during the learning process) and quantitative (speaking tests). The results qualitatively showed that the implementation of Circle Game enhanced the students’ speaking skills. Such improvement could be seen from their enthusiasm, their interesting feeling in various materials presented by the teacher, their active involvement. In the quantitative findings, the result also showed a higher value of the mean score of the post-test (77.34) rather than the pre-test (75.75). In conclusion, the use of Circle Game can improve students’ speaking skill.
