From the test results it can be concluded that the regression coefficient of determinant (R2) value 0.240 indicates that accounting conservatism is able to affect the asymmetry of information in the annual reports of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange amounted to 24.0 percent and the remaining 76.0 percent is influenced by other variables outside of the research model. Piecemeal evidence suggests that accounting conservatism variable regression coefficient of -0.474, (β ≠ 0), meaning that in partial accounting conservatism and significant negative effect of the information asymmetry in the annual reports of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Refers to the requirement that the results of the study reject Ho and accept Ha.  Keywords: Accounting Conservatism and Information Asymmetry

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of managerial ownership, debt covenants, political costs and growth opportunities on the level of accounting conservatism, case studies on manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2011-2015. Testing this hypothesis uses multiple regression analysis. The regression coefficient test (T Test) in this study shows that the debt covenant and growth opportunities have a significant negative effect on the level of accounting conservatism, while the managerial ownership and political cost variables have no significant effect on the level of accounting conservatism. Suggestions for this study are to be able to expand the research sample so that the results can be generalized and can also be used to add or replace other variables that can affect accounting conservatism.

This type of research is quantitative research. Where this study uses data collection methods and processes them then tested to describe the hypotheses that have been set. The selection of a sample is to use certain criteria. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. Based on the test results show that the profitability and size of the company significantly influence the timeliness. The test results showed that 7.1% of the variation in timeliness was explained by variations in the independent variables, namely ROA and SIZE. Aim of this research is to determine the effect of accounting conservatism and tax avoidance on firm value. The type of data used in this study is secondary data in the form of annual reports of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2013-2016 period. The number of samples is 48 manufacturing companies. The data analysis technique used is regression analysis. The results of the study show that conservatism has a positive effect on firm value, tax avoidance has a negative effect on firm value. While simultaneously conservatism and tax avoidance have a positive effect on firm value. Thus this study supports that accounting conservatism has a role as a function of monitoring the company's investment policies and one way to maintain the value of the company in limiting losses that may arise from poorly performing investment decisions. The company that conducts tax avoidance (has a smaller effective tax rate) is an effort made by management to reduce the company's tax burden and is able to minimize expenditure for tax purposes so that management looks good in the eyes of shareholders.

This study examined the effect of income diversification on financial performance of deposit money banks (DMBs) in Nigeria. Variables considered were commission, foreign exchange incomes, and firm age, which are proxies for income diversification and financial performance proxied by Tobin's Q ratio. The purposive sampling technique was used to select the 8 banks classified by Central Bank of Nigeria to be Domestic Systematically Important Banks in Nigeria. Data collected from the annual reports and the Nigerian Stock Exchange website for a period 2008-2018 were used. Statistical tools used were the descriptive statistics and econometric analysis using the panel data. Findings showed that while commission income has a significant positive effect on Tobin's Q ratio of DMBs, foreign exchange income and firm age each have a significant negative effect on Tobin's Q ratio of DMBs in Nigeria. It is recommended that banks in Nigeria minimize their income from foreign exchange to maximize performance since income from these transactions tend to inhibit bank financial performance.

Data analysis techniques using the Multiple Linear Regression test with the SPSS program. The research result that the size of company and accounting conservatism give a negative effect on tax avoidance while institutional ownership has no effect on tax avoidance. This shows that the larger the size of a company and the more companies apply accounting conservatism, the lower the practice of tax avoidance. This study aims to analyze the effect of the effectiveness of internal control, independent commissioners, the expertise of the board of commissioners, the number of audit committees, and the expertise of the audit committee on tax avoidance in manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2016-2018. This research is expected to be a material consideration for companies in making decisions related to taxation. The deductive approach used in this study by developing hypotheses based on relevant theories and findings of previous studies. Agency theory is used to see the effect of corporate governance on tax avoidance. The data collection method uses secondary data from the company's financial statements and annual reports according to specific criteria. Data analysis was performed by descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression. The results of the regression analysis prove that effectiveness of internal control and number of audit committees had a positive effect which means higher effectiveness of internal control and number of audit committees cause more tax avoidance, conversely independent commissioners and expertise of the board of commissioners had a negative effect which shows greater independent commissioners and expertise of the board of commissioners cause less tax avoidance. Another result claim that the expertise of the audit committee did not affect on tax avoidance. In contrast to previous studies, this study is more varied by combining several independent variables.
