The paper aims to review public administration education in the higher education institutions in Bangladesh, and their role in ensuring modern public services. Most universities in the country offer public administration degrees; however, minimal contributions to nationbuilding have been observed. The study asks: what are the pitfalls behind this? How to address the limitations? This is a qualitative study with gleaned data, using inductive content analysis to investigate the phenomenon with three case universities indicating the link between curriculum and learning delivery at the universities in Bangladesh. The research finds that poor development-oriented public administration education has little correlation to national development. The education system is traditional, where typical cultural features are nonchalance and indifference towards domestic demands. The discipline cannot create a distinctive identity and position in academia, which has consequences for the advancement of the administrative system in a developing country like Bangladesh. A research-informed curriculum with innovative pedagogical approach might be an alternative. The paper enlightens both academics and practitioners, as literature on public administration education in Bangladesh has been scarce. It calls for higher education institutions to reassess public administration education, teaching methods and research for national development.

The teaching methods to be used will vary according to the individual characteristics of the students who are new to the flute lesson, as well as the beginning flute methods. In the flute education process, the beginning methods must be suitable for the student's age group, perception level. In this context, in this study, it is aimed to examine the beginning flute methods used in flute education in Music Education Departments in terms of content and technical issues. This research is a qualitative study, the literature has been scanned through document analysis and the initial methods used in flute education have been reached. In the research, examinations and interpretations were made on the four methods determined in the study in terms of subjects and basic technical studies. In the methods, subjects related to beginning flute training were mostly included. However, in some methods, explanations and visuals about the subjects were insufficient or even not included at all. Keywords: Instrument education, flute, flute education, method, beginnig method

Abstract Background Despite the continuous adaptation of eHealth systems for patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), a significant disconnection persists between users and developers. Since non-adherence remains high, it is necessary to better understand the patients’ perspectives on telemonitoring for IBD. The aim of this study was to adapt the TECCU app to the preferences and needs of IBD patients. Methods A qualitative study was carried out using successive focus groups of IBD patients. Meetings were audio-recorded and a thematic analysis approach was employed until data saturation was achieved. The first group included patients who had used the TECCU app in a pilot clinical trial, and subsequent meetings included patients with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis recruited from the Spanish Confederation of patient associations. The information collected at each meeting guided consecutive changes to the platform. Results Data saturation was reached after 3 focus groups, involving a total of 18 patients. Three main themes emerged: (1) platform usability; (2) the communication process; and (3) contents of the platform. All participants indicated that TECCU is easy to use, permitting continuous and personalised feedback. Nevertheless, the platform was adapted according to the patients′ perspectives to foster a flexible follow-up and shared decision-making, using open and safe communication networks. Many participants appreciated the educational elements and the app was connected to reliable and continuously updated webpages. Conclusion IBD patients valued the usability and personalised monitoring offered by the TECCU App. Improvements in the messaging system and continuous updates of the educational contents were performed to address patients′ needs and favour their engagement.

Purpose The purpose of this study was to examine the process of embedding values implemented by excellent teachers in teaching Islamic education in the multi-cultural society. Design/methodology/approach This study was a qualitative study, which used a combination of in-depth interviews, observation and document analysis for data collection. Using a purposive sampling technique, seven excellent Islamic education teachers were selected. The data were analysed using Atlas.ti 7.1.7. Findings The findings of the study show the process of embedding values among excellent teachers include the following aspects: teachers take into consideration the various differences among individuals in their classes, especially of learners’ names and family backgrounds, humour elements, praising of students, lectures, repetition practical areas, problem-solving and question and answer sessions. A variety of methods are used in the process of embedding values including two-way interactions between teachers and students. Teaching happens in stages that link to the cognitive level of the students and these learning environments allow the values to be exposed, taught and personally experienced by the students. Practical implications This study shows that teachers should use various types of teaching methods, i.e. light-hearted element, praising students, lectures, repetition, practical areas, problem-solving and question and answer sessions, to embed values during the lessons of Islamic education. Interaction between students and teachers takes place and creates a transformative process of knowledge and allowing the positive values to be taught effectively. They start to learn and appreciate the values of others and also be able to practice them in their daily lives. The students were exposed to the diversity of culture and various types of background of their friends. The awareness of the teachers in creating a learning environment that is sensitive to all students is very important. Thus, these methods should be taken into consideration by teachers to teach values and should be exposed during teacher training so they are able to implement them in the classroom. Originality/value This paper explores and describes methods of embedding of values used by excellent Islamic education teachers in the lessons of Islamic education. There are very few studies conducted in this area and this qualitative study is focussed on how values are thought in the lessons of Islamic education. These findings can be used by educators to improve the quality of the lessons based on most effective teaching methods used by the teachers in the lessons of Islamic education.

This article is a qualitative study, which was done in 2013-2014. In this study using a comparative study was conducted to compare physics curriculum elements of Iran with the countries studied. Countries studied: Singapore, Turkey, India, England and Australia have diverse educational system. In this study, the structure of the educational system, the physics curriculum, teaching methods, students' achievement evaluation methods were studied and compared. The aim of the research was to identify the Features of the physics curriculum in Iran. In some cases, similarities and differences were observed. From the major problems in the physics curriculum of Iran is many number of books is more than in other countries. And time teaching physics Iranian schools is less than in other countries, While the content of physics books of Iranian schools from all countries studied is further and to do physics experiments in Iranian schools are of less importance. Iran evaluation system is the traditional way and held for final evaluation. The results can help to educational planners and authors of physics textbooks for perform more accurate and more comprehensive correction to the physics curriculum.

It is known that each human being is unrepeatable, a factor to take into account for the teaching of classes, therefore it is essential to adapt methodologies for an optimal learning of each student, the teacher can be very good as a professional, but as a teacher, not Throughout the education in Mexico the student usually has problems, with the different subjects, to avoid desertions it is necessary to look for learning objects so that the student can acquire the desired competence, the LMS are learning management systems, within which there are learning objects that allow constructing educational contents from pieces that can be assembled, the creations of those objects take as a guide the self-containment, usability, reusability, effectiveness, accessibility, portability, and the source of where the information, Important points in the creation of the elements are the design which should be based on the psychology of learning seeking to improve the understanding and teaching methods, for meaningful learning, the detection of the student's learning style should be taken into account, as well like these elements texts, images, videos, conceptual maps, diagrams etc. To develop learning object methodologies.

Commonly prescribed vocational discipleship strategies have been devoid of teaching methods specifically designed for engaging the imagination. To fill this methodological gap, the author developed the 4D-R method for imagining the future and conducted a qualitative study to understand adult evangelical Christians' experience of the method. The findings indicate that the 4D-R method for imagining the future could be a useful strategy for vocational discipleship, particularly in the area of vocational discernment. The findings further suggest a relationship between common vocational discipleship strategies and the 4D-R method for imagining the future.
