Abstract Background Domestic migration poses a challenge for China as migrants have little access to preventive healthcare services and are vulnerable to certain risks and diseases. This research sought to unveil and explore the determinant factors associated with health education utilization as a key aspect in basic public health services for migrants in Beijing, China. Methods A sample of 863 inter-provincial migrants, 18 years old and above, was selected by three-stage stratified cluster sampling method in urban-rural fringe areas of Beijing during 2016 to 2017. Face-to-face structured interviews were conducted in the questionnaire survey. The effects of the explanatory variables on health education utilization from predisposing, enabling, health behaviors and need variables were used to demonstrate by Anderson health service utilization model. Results The study revealed that 61.6% migrants desired to receive health education, while only 53.8% of them received in the past year. There were differences in the utilization and needs of health education among the migrants in different ages and genders. Many migrants desired to gain access to various types of health education information from the internet. Chi-square independence test lists such major determinant factors in migrants whole health education as age, “Hukou” registration system, marital status, education level, long-term residence plan in Beijing, one or more children in Beijing, employment status, housing source, average daily working time, exercises, health knowledge, smoking, self-rated health. The binary logistic regression indicates that the migrants with younger age, high education level, one or more children in Beijing, exercises and good self-rated health were more likely to receive whole health education. The results also show that average daily working time of enabling variables and exercise of health behavior variables were the strong and consistent determinants of three types of health education utilization, including communicable, non-communicable and occupational diseases. Conclusion Gaps exist between the needs and utilization in health education and more attention should be given to the migrants with heavy workload and low education level. Feasible policies and measures, such as multiple health information channels, should be vigorously implemented to ensure equitable and easy access to health education for migrants.

Article gives a comparative analysis of using road clothes made of graded breakstone and gravelly sand mixes (GSM) for autonomous oil fields located in the northern territories of the Russian Federation. Positive and negative characteristics of inert material delivered to the field are noted. There have been made calculations based on regulatory acts for road clothes of transition type with following analysis of their cost. The technology of making GSM on objects is also described. This technology includes preparation of a mixture on a separate pad directly on construction object. The possibility of including sand located nearly the construction object into the mixture is analyzed. Major advantages of using GSM during construction of roads using practical experience are reviewed. The condition of the cover during the operation period is shown.

Aesthetic medicine has been developing at a fast pace in recent years. It is necessary and ethical for anyone who undergoes any of these treatments to receive complete information on its implementation methods, as well as its consequences andadverse effects. Only once the person who would be affected by these procedures obtains truthful and impartial information, can he or she provide a legally binding consent to undergo a procedure. Thus, the information received by the patient plays a crucial role since it underlies the subject’s decision concerning the treatment.

Introduction and Objective: To analyze if axial loads of 50 N and 100 N, applied on an implant of 3.75 X 10 mm (Conexão-Jaú, SP, Brazil) fixed on the central portion of a prototype of the mandible with and without support base, generate isochromatic fringes of different intensity and ways. Material and methods: The sample was a segment of the mandible with 115 mm in length, 30 mm height, and 12 mm in thickness, from a block of #7 rose wax. This matrix was adapted to a modified articulator in such way that its base could or not keep contact with the lower arm of the articulator, simply by modifying the support axis. An implant was put perpendicular to the segment of the mandible’s body and then the photoelastic model obtained. The healing abutment was screwed to the implant to receive loads from 50 N to 100 N, with the model with or withoutcontact of its base with the inferior arm of the articulator. Results: Alterations in the reflections of the colors was observed when the implants had been submitted to loads of 50 N and 100 N with or without supported base. Conclusion: Based on the results, it can be concluded that during the photoelasticity analyses alterations in the color standards occurred depending on the support of the sample and the applied load.

BACKGROUND Participation in leisure activities is essential for child development and a human right as per the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Children with disabilities face several restrictions when participating in leisure activities as compared to same age peers without disabilities. Access to information about accessible, inclusive leisure activities is one of the barriers limiting participation, and one potential health promotion strategy is to provide access to information to increase participation. The Jooay App is a mobile App listing such activities in Canada and Australia. With the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) global pandemic and subsequent public health measures, most community-based facilities providing the activities listed on Jooay were closed. The App, therefore, started listing online activities offered with the expectation of continuing to provide information for families and also understand the extent to which users relied on the mobile App as a tool to identify new safe leisure opportunities. OBJECTIVE The objective of this study was to describe the engagement of the Jooay app before and during COVID-19, and to estimate the extent to which the listing of online activities was related to the engagement of the Jooay app. METHODS Retrospective study comparing Jooay app usage between March 2020 and February 2021 to the engagement between March 2019 and February 2020, by Jooay users. Spearman rank correlations were carried out to identify associations between the activities listed and the users’ engagement from May 2020 to February 2021. RESULTS Active engagement with the Jooay app from March 2020 to February 2021 dropped an average of 64.2% compared to usage in 2019-2020. Largest monthly drop in engagement was observed in May 2020 (88.8%). There was a strong, positive correlation between the number of active users and the number of online activities listed on the app (rs=0.900). CONCLUSIONS The engagement with the Jooay App presented an expected decrease during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Availability of online adapted leisure activities to the app’s listings during the pandemic enabled children and families to re-engage in finding virtual leisure opportunities that promote health. Mobile-health solutions must be responsive to contextual factors and consider the social determinants of health such as socio-economic and public health emergency issues that can impact participation of vulnerable populations such as children with disabilities. The provision of online leisure opportunities during the pandemic could lead to increased participation, which is essential and beneficial for the physical and mental wellbeing of children with disabilities and their families.
