Virtual schooling is a participation between The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) by means of different apparatuses, practices such as web-based platforms, tools, devices, video conferencing software, discussion boards to help and motivate students and educators to fill the gap of physical classroom. Virtual Schooling is inseparable from e-learning, happens on the web. Here, students and educators interact in synchronous where students interact or engage with educators while they convey their lessons live, or asynchronous, where students watch recording of the lessons later anytime. This Paper is exploratory in nature, data is collected with primary source like questionnaire and respondent are a total of 66 teachers and 65 students of schools in Lucknow city. Though virtual schooling can happen in multiple and distributed location but at the same time it is significantly more complicated than most expect. The difficulties engaged with virtual schooling might appear to be too various to even think about counting. Commonly found challenges on behalf of educators and students are: multitasking, requests advanced prestidigitate qualities which is inevitable, yet exhausting; quality of teaching resources; volume of work, remote teaching includes a bigger workload than traditional classroom teaching. The volume of assignments, design and plan the lessons and emails to answer can astonish you; time management skills are a continuous issue for remote learners with study, career and other commitments.

With the outstanding improvements in technology, the number of e-learning applications has increased greatly. This increment is associated with awareness levels of educational institutions on the related improvements and the power of communication and computer technologies to ensure effective and efficient teaching and learning experiences for teachers and students. Consequently, there is a technological flow that changes the standards of e-learning processes and provides better ways to obtain desired educational objectives. When we consider today's widely used technological factors, Web-based e-learning approaches have a special role in directing the educational standards. Improvements among m-learning applications and the popularity of the Artificial Intelligence usage for educational works have given great momentum to this orientation. In this sense, this chapter provides some ideas on the future of intelligent Web-based e-learning applications by thinking on the current status of the literature. As it is known, current trends in developing Artificial Intelligence-supported e-learning tools continue to shape the future of e-learning. Therefore, it is an important approach to focus on the future. The author thinks that the chapter will be a brief but effective enough reference for similar works, which focus on the future of Artificial Intelligence-supported distance education and e-learning.

In this chapter it is argued that blended learning with web-based support by the Moodle e-learning environment based on social constructivist learning theory is an effective tool for teaching and learning ergonomics and human factor issues for future managers. The author has eight years experience of computer based teaching and learning. The author`s own teaching experience of the Moodle e-learning environment for creating and providing courses in Tallinn University of Technology (TUT), in Tallinn School of Economics and Business Administration at TUT, will be presented. According to the questionnaires given to students at the end of each course, the teaching and learning in the Moodle e-learning environment as blended learning is very useful for development of a learning culture and efficiency. The efficiency and motivation for learning are higher than providing traditional methods of learning. New possibilities and dimensions for teaching and learning are opening.

Deakin University has established and integrated a major, corporate technology infrastructure to unify and enhance its on campus and distance education. This environment is called Deakin Online. Efforts to realise its potential for creating enduring teaching and learning benefits are understood in the context of the University’s commitment to ’relevance, responsiveness and innovation’. How are these values and benefits realised in an evolving, educational enterprise using the new digital, corporate technologies and new concepts of organisational structure and function? We argue for the transforming influence of a new academic teacher role, new forms of academic development and open collegiality. Moreover, changes in role and process need to be grounded in systemic, organisation wide and program wide approaches to designing and working within comprehensively conceived, contemporary learning environments. We argue for system wide education design, situating e learning within broader curricular and pedagogical concerns to create enduring benefits in the learning environments of higher education.

Electronic Learning (E-Learning) has been widely used as a complement to the traditional learning method. It includes the introduction of blended learning (BL) that fully utilises the use of Learning Management System (LMS). The aim of this study is to examine students’ acceptance of blended learning specifically with the use of Openlearning (OL) as an online learning platform to complement traditional teaching. 137 students had participated in this study. OL was introduced to the Health Sciences students, who enrolled in the Principles of Nutrition course. Students explored teaching materials, videos, activities, and several assessments in OL while facilitated by facilitators for 14 weeks. A self-administered questionnaire was given via online to the participants to evaluate their attitudes and acceptance towards OL. Descriptive statistic was used to describe the demographic data and t-test was performed to report the level of acceptance. Overall results showed students were very satisfied with blended learning using OpenLearning as a web-based tool. Students accepted OL as it is easy to use and convenient. They also agreed that the usage of OL in teaching and learning will improve their academic performance. In conclusion, it is proven that Health Sciences students accepted the use of OL in blended learning.

E-learning is seen as a possible solution to the problem of modernization of the university education in response to the changing needs of the society. In undergraduate healthcare training, e-learning is implemented predominantly as blended learning in addition to the traditional classroom teaching. A major factor in the success of e-learning are learners’ attitudes, beliefs and concerns. The aim of the present study was to investigate undergraduate healthcare students’ attitude to e-learning at Medical University – Plovdiv. In this case, e-learning is considered to be electronic educational resources organized as an interactive e-learning unit or course, provided through a learning content management system. The survey was carried out in 2016 through a self-reported questionnaire among 270 first year students from ten healthcare specialties. Participants were asked to express a degree of agreement with nine statements on a five point Likert scale. The influence of gender, age, specialty and previous e-learning experience on the opinion of students was investigated. The results showed that students’ attitudes towards e-learning were positive, but learners were not enthusiastic about it. Genders have different views about e-learning implementation – women are more likely to accept it. The experience first year students had did not allow them to judge if e-learning supports better time-management or life-long learning skills. Students agreed that implementation of e-learning depends on the subjects and there are disciplines that can be provided as distant courses within the learning management system.

Abstrak: Teknologi modern semakin pesat perkembangannya, sebagai masyarakat kita dapat merasakan hal positif dari perkembangan teknologi modern, salah satunya adalah internet. Memanfaatkan internet dengan hal positif dapat mempermudah kegiatan masyarakat, seperti dalam bidang pendidikan salah satunya adalah kegiatan belajar mengajar. Dengan adanya kegiatan belajar mengajar dapat menambah wawasan dan ilmu pengetahuan bagi masyarakat, akan tetapi terkadang pelajar bahkan pengajar yang melaksanakan kegiatan belajar mengajar tersebut terlalu terkekang oleh waktu dan peraturan yang berlaku pada tempat belajarnya. Hasil permasalahan yang penulis dapatkan pada kegiatan belajar mengajar konvensional adalah diharuskannya meluangkan waktu untuk pergi ke tempat belajar dan juga ditentukan durasi belajar mengajarnya bahkan diadakan peraturan yang terkadang membuat peserta sampai pengajar tidak nyaman dengan peraturan tersebut. Oleh karena itu penulis tertarik untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut dengan membuat sistem informasi pembelajaran (e-learning) dengan metode learner-led learning berbasis web yang dapat diakses dimanapun dan kapanpun tanpa mengeluarkan biaya dan tidak terkekang oleh waktu. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu dalam proses belajar mengajar dengan nyaman. Website ini juga menyediakan fasilitas seperti materi yang bersifat video dan artikel yang bertujuan bagi pelajar yang lebih nyaman belajar dengan video interaktif dan juga tersedia fasilitas sertifikat sebagai bukti bahwa pelajar telah berhasil dalam menyelesaikan soal dari materi yang dipelajarinya.   Kata kunci: pelajar, pembelajaran daring, pengajar, sistem pembelajaran, website   Abstract: Modern technology is growing rapidly, as a society we can feel positive things from the development of modern technology, one of which is the internet. Using the internet with positive things can facilitate community activities, such as in the field of education, one of which is teaching and learning activities. With teaching and learning activities, it can add insight and knowledge to the community, but sometimes students and even teachers who carry out teaching and learning activities are too constrained by time and the regulations that apply to the place of study. The results of the problems that the authors get in conventional teaching and learning activities are that they are required to take the time to go to the place of study and also determine the duration of teaching and learning and even make regulations that sometimes make participants until the teacher is not comfortable with these rules. Therefore, the authors are interested in solving these problems by creating a learning information system (e-learning) with a web-based learner-led learning method that can be accessed anywhere and anytime without incurring costs and not being constrained by time. This research is expected to help in the teaching and learning process comfortably. This website also provides facilities such as video materials and articles aimed at making students more comfortable learning with interactive videos and certificate facilities are also available as evidence that students have succeeded in solving problems from the material they have studied.   Keywords: e-learning, learning system, student; teacher, website

This research is a preliminary study that is used as a guide to develop an interactive web-based learning model at Electrical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University (PSU). This research is conducted through a literature review on factors that influence the development of web-based learning model; needs assessment through a questionnaire about lecturers and students’ opinion on e-learning; and feasibility study about the readiness of PSU in the implementation of teaching and learning process through e-learning. The result from literature review can be concluded that there are three factors that should be considered in developing web-based learning model, which are: (1) Constructivism; (2) Interactivity; and (3) Student’s Learning Style. The result from need assessment and feasibility study that is conducted in the Electrical Engineering Department and Computer Center of PSU showed that the facilities and infrastructures of PSU are adequate to develop e-learning. Some issues that to be overcome are adding more computers at the campus for students who do not have their own computer and organizing a training for students about the use of e-learning in teaching and learning process.

The Internet, World Wide Web (WWW) and e-learning are contributing to new forms of teaching and learning. Such environments should be designed and evaluated in effective ways, considering both usability- and pedagogical issues. The selection of usability evaluation methods (UEMs) is influenced by the cost of a methods and its effectiveness in addressing users’ issues. The issue of usability is vital in e-learning, where students cannot begin to learn unless they can first use the application. Heuristic evaluation (HE) remains the most widely-used usability evaluation method. This paper describes meta-evaluation research that investigated an HE of a web-based learning (WBL) application. The evaluations were based on a synthesised framework of criteria, related to usability and learning within WBL environments. HE was found to be effective in terms of the number and nature of problems identified in the target application by a complementary team of experienced experts. The findings correspond closely with those of a survey among learners.

The number of instructional offerings in higher education that are online, blended, or web-enhanced, including courses and programs, continues to grow exponentially. Alongside the growth of e-learning, higher education has witnessed the explosion of cloud-based or Web 2.0 technologies, a term that refers to the vast array of socially oriented, free or nearly free, web-based tools, has represented a transition from institutionally-provided to freely available technology tools. This paper addresses the numerous teaching and learning opportunities and challenges that institutions face in adopting and implementing cloud-based technologies into their eLearning programs and provides a guide for forming implementation decisions.

Traditional teaching and learning methods have had to adapt to keep up with Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in modern society. E-learning stands for all forms of Web-based learning and uses computer and computer networks to create, store, deliver, manage and support online learning courses to anyone, anytime and anywhere. It provides a configurable infrastructure that can integrate learning materials, tools, and services into a single solution to create and deliver training or educational materials quickly, effectively, and economically. Recently, emerging Semantic Web technologies have changed the focus of e-learning systems from task-based approaches to knowledge-intensive ones. The Semantic Web is a W3C initiative and according to Berners-Lee et al. (2001) comprises “an extension of the current Web in which information is given welldefined meaning, better enabling computers and people to work in cooperation”. The capability of the Semantic Web to add meaning to information, stored in such way that it can be searched and processed, as well as recent advances in Semantic Web-based technologies provide the mechanisms for semantic knowledge representation, exchange and collaboration of e-learning applications (Anderson & Whitelock, 2004).
