Open universities play an important role in delivering distant learning education to the general public. MOODLE is an open-source programme that enables and maintains the success of open universities. One of the main concerns of teachers when using internet content is the students' interest, particularly when using recorded videos because synchronous interactive instruction is not possible for big groups of students online. In an e-learning system, interactive videos are crucial because they allow learners to interact with learning content while watching the video. The H5P module of MOODLE Learning Management System (LMS), was used to generate an interactive film in this empirical study. The focus of the study was to investigate students’ satisfaction about interactive video content on MOODLE in online learning. It was assessed by using the Delone and Mclean Information Systems Success Model. H5P interactive video content was developed and implemented on MOODLE and satisfaction of students was measured. The findings revealed that the value of video for learning effectiveness is depending on the level of interactivity. Students in the e-learning class with interactive video had much higher levels of satisfaction than students in other settings.

Kata kunci: pelajar, pembelajaran daring, pengajar, sistem pembelajaran, website   Abstract: Modern technology is growing rapidly, as a society we can feel positive things from the development of modern technology, one of which is the internet. Using the internet with positive things can facilitate community activities, such as in the field of education, one of which is teaching and learning activities. With teaching and learning activities, it can add insight and knowledge to the community, but sometimes students and even teachers who carry out teaching and learning activities are too constrained by time and the regulations that apply to the place of study. The results of the problems that the authors get in conventional teaching and learning activities are that they are required to take the time to go to the place of study and also determine the duration of teaching and learning and even make regulations that sometimes make participants until the teacher is not comfortable with these rules. Therefore, the authors are interested in solving these problems by creating a learning information system (e-learning) with a web-based learner-led learning method that can be accessed anywhere and anytime without incurring costs and not being constrained by time. This research is expected to help in the teaching and learning process comfortably. This website also provides facilities such as video materials and articles aimed at making students more comfortable learning with interactive videos and certificate facilities are also available as evidence that students have succeeded in solving problems from the material they have studied.   Keywords: e-learning, learning system, student; teacher, website

AbstractScientific literacy is the main key to face challenges in the 21st century to solve problems in everyday life such as water and food, energy, disease, and climate change. Lack of understanding of 'what is nano', the foundation of various disciplines, widely used jargons, and various scientific terms that are difficult to understand, make nanotechnology difficult to be accepted by the wider community. However, this can be overcome by simplifying these complex concepts and presenting them in an interesting way. Media such as story books, infographic posters, interactive videos can be used to explain complex concepts in a simple form. Abroad, there are many story books that raise the concept of nanotechnology and present it in a simple and interesting way. Therefore, the form of picture story books for early childhood and elementary schools can be an effective delivery medium for the concept of nanotechnology.

AbstractThe COVID-19 pandemic created a situation for the implementation of emergency remote learning. This meant that as a lecturer at a traditionalist University of contact sessions, the pandemic forced us to teach remotely through online methods of communication, using online lectures, narrated powerpoints, voice clips, podcasts, interviews and interactive videos. The assessments were conducted online from assignments to multiple choice questions, which forced the lecturers to think differently about the way the assessments were presented, in order to avoid easy access to answers found in a textbook and online. This meant that more application questions of theory to practice were assessed in a more challenging way to prevent cheating and collaboration with peers. Formal assessments completed during emergency remote learning, have become the past practice, as innovative methods have been adopted for learning and for assessment purposes in order to preserve the integrity and attainment of the degree through online modes of learning. The aim of the paper investigates and explores the methods of teaching, together with the results obtained from the students of 2019 and 2020 in their final year relating to two final year modules against the literature relating to learning processes and methodologies.

Abstract. In this paper we discuss the potential of interactive video as an interface to geospatial information, and demonstrate our findings in a case study driven by goals of promoting a region for tourism and for preventing brain drain. Use of video is controversial due to various technical and human-centric debates; on the one hand, they offer unique qualitative insights as they enable a certain level of immersion via walk-throughs and fly-throughs and they are considered attractive by viewers, on the other hand, they are complex because they contain unfiltered (possibly too much) information that may be irrelevant to the goals of the users, and require careful consideration from computational and bandwidth concerns. We examine these arguments from the literature briefly, and demonstrate our case study in which we have embedded and overlain statistical and other local information interactively over drone footage, and measured levels of usability and user engagement using standardized scales. Our implementation and design choices are detailed in the article. Our small user experiment (n = 6) suggests high levels of usability, desirability and engagement by our participants, leading to the hypothesis that video is an attractive medium and indeed has strong potential for regional promotion, given that the computational and cognitive issues are taken into account.
