The internet has revolutionized the way most people shop. Flexibility, convenience, products’ variations, better price, and more privacy contribute to the exponential growth of online shopping platforms. However, due to the nature of online shopping, customers are not able to physically test the product before purchasing. They rely on the information given by the seller and previous customers’ ratings to make their decision. Sometimes, the information that is given by sellers may be fraudulent, misleading, or over claim. Many researchers had found out that ratings and other customers’ reviews can be manipulated and did not reflect on the actual customers’ sentiment on the particular product. This research investigates how sentiment analysis can be used as an alternative solution to measure the positive, negative, and neutral feedback of the past reviews. It is to offer more comprehensive way to help the customers make an informed decision for the product that they wish to buy based on the totality of the reviews. This paper makes a comparative study on sentiment analysis methods on online shopping reviews. This can lead to the proposed theoretical framework of an alternative solution for better insight exploration. It is envisaged that this research would benefit the customer in making a better decision when doing online shopping and may act as a feedback mechanism for the seller to provide good products and services. A good product rating can influence many new buyers and increase business revenue and expansion

Abstract. Sentiment Analysis concerns the analysis of ideas, emotions, evaluations, values, attitudes and feelings about products, services, companies, individuals, tasks, events, titles and their characteristics. With the increase in applications on the Internet and social networks, Sentiment Analysis has become more crucial in the field of text mining research and has since been used to explore users’ opinions on various products or topics discussed on the Internet. Developments in the fields of Natural Language Processing and Computational Linguistics have contributed positively to Sentiment Analysis studies, especially for sentiments written in non-structured or semi-structured languages. In this paper, we present a literature review on the pre-processing task on the field of sentiment analysis and an analytical and comparative study of different researches conducted in Arabic social networks. This study allowed as concluding that several works have dealt with the generation of stop words dictionary. In this context, two approaches are adopted: first, the manual one, which gives rise to a limited list, and second, the automatic, where the list of stop words is extracted from social networks based on defined rules. For stemming two, algorithms have been proposed to isolate prefixes and suffixes from words in dialects. However, few works have been interested in dialects directly without translation. The Moroccan dialect in particular is considered as the 5th dialect studied among Arabic dialects after Jordanian, Egyptian, Tunisian and Algerian dialects. Despite the significant lack in studies carried out on Arabic dialects, we were able to extract several conclusions about the difficulties and challenges encountered through this comparative study, as well as the possible ways and tracks to study in any dialects sentiment analysis pre-processing solution.

The invention of the internet has brought us abundant information, convenience, connection, communication, and entertainment in the past five decades. While people enjoy using the Internet, it has also triggered negative effects. Heavy internet users become lost online, some are addicted to games and social media, and others to their smartphones and online shopping. The problem is that often the Internet addicts do not know they are addicted or, even if they do know, they do not take any therapeutic approaches to improve their conditions. Internet addiction can be detrimental to a person's mental and physical health. Since the symptoms of Internet addiction are varied and the consequences can be severe, it is essential to closely examine the treatments for Internet addiction. What approaches should people take if their family members, friends, relatives, students, or themselves are Internet addicted? In this chapter, the researcher attempts to revisit and update research on definitions, theories, models, causes, consequences, symptoms, and treatment of internet addiction.

The effectiveness of human rights adjudicative procedures partly, if not most importantly, hinges upon the adequacy of the remedies they grant and the implementation of those remedies. This assertion also holds water with regard to the international and regional monitoring bodies established to receive individual complaints related to economic, social and cultural rights (hereinafter ‘ESC rights’ or ‘socio-economic rights’). Remedies can serve two major functions: they are meant, first, to rectify the pecuniary and non-pecuniary damage sustained by the particular victim, and second, to resolve systematic problems existing in the state machinery in order to ensure the non-repetition of the act. Hence, the role of remedies is not confined to correcting the past but also shaping the future by providing reforming measures a state has to undertake. The adequacy of remedies awarded by international and regional human rights bodies is also assessed based on these two benchmarks. The present article examines these issues in relation to individual complaint procedures that deal with the violation of ESC rights, with particular reference to the case laws of the three jurisdictions selected for this work, i.e. the United Nations, Inter-American and African Human Rights Systems.

This study uses the two largest available American English language corpora, Google Books and the Corpus of Historical American English (coha), to investigate relations between ecology and language. The paper introduces ecolinguistics as a promising theme for corpus research. While some previous ecolinguistic research has used corpus approaches, there is a case to be made for quantitative methods that draw on larger datasets. Building on other corpus studies that have made connections between language use and environmental change, this paper investigates whether linguistic references to other species have changed in the past two centuries and, if so, how. The methodology consists of two main parts: an examination of the frequency of common names of species followed by aspect-level sentiment analysis of concordance lines. Results point to both opportunities and challenges associated with applying corpus methods to ecolinguistc research.

The story of Lot is one of many shared by the Qur'an and the Torah, and Lot's offer of his two daughters to his people is presented in a similar way in the two books. This article compares the status of Lot in the Qur'an and Torah, and explores the moral dimensions of his character, and what scholars of the two religions make of this story. The significance of the episodes in which Lot offers his daughters to his people lies in the similarities and differences of the accounts given in the two books and the fact that, in both the past and the present, this story has presented moral problems and criticism has been leveled at Lot. Context is crucial in understanding this story, and exploration of the ways in which Lot and his people are presented is also useful in terms of comparative studies of the two scriptures. This article is divided into three sections: the first explores the depiction of Lot in the two texts, the second explores his moral limitations, and the third discusses the interpretations of various exegetes and scholars of the two books. Although there are similarities between the Qur'anic and Talmudic accounts of this episode, it is read differently by scholars from the two religions because of the different contexts of the respective accounts.

Over the past decade, ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) has emerged from whisper-quiet corners of the Internet to become a bullhorn of speculation on the human sensorium. Many consider its sonically induced “tingling” to be an entirely novel, and potentially revolutionary, form of human corporeality—one surprisingly effective in combating the maladies of a digitally networked life: insomnia, anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. Complicating these claims, this article argues that ASMR is also neoliberal repackaging of what Marx called the reproduction of labor power. Units of these restorative “tingles” are exchanged for micro-units of attention, which YouTube converts to actual currency based on per-1,000-view equations. True to the claims of Silvia Federici and Leopoldina Fortunati, this reproductive labor remains largely the domain of women. From sweet-voiced receptionists to fawning sales clerks (both of whom are regularly role-played by ASMRtists), sonic labor has long been a force in greasing the gears of capital. That it plays a role in production is a matter that ASMRtists are often at pains to obscure. The second half of this article performs a close reading of what might be considered the very first ASMR film: Chantal Akerman’s Jeanne Dielman, 23 quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles. Through this film, the exploitative dimensions of ASMR can be contrasted with its potential for creating protected spaces of financial independence and nonnormative corporeal practices.

This paper examines a few of the numerous factors that may have led to increased youth turnout in 2008 Election. First, theories of voter behavior and turnout are related to courting the youth vote. Several variables that are perceived to affect youth turnout such as party polarization, perceived candidate difference, voter registration, effective campaigning and mobilization, and use of the Internet, are examined. Over the past 40 years, presidential elections have failed to engage the majority of young citizens (ages 18-29) to the point that they became inclined to participate. This trend began to reverse starting in 2000 Election and the youth turnout reached its peak in 2008. While both short and long-term factors played a significant role in recent elections, high turnout among youth voters in 2008 can be largely attributed to the Obama candidacy and campaign, which mobilized young citizens in unprecedented ways.
