The study of the life of an infant of the culturally and economically retarded nationalities of our Union, in particular the Tatars and Bashkirs, is of undoubted interest, especially in rural conditions. In 1925, Dr. V. A. Tushnov made a report on the basis of the material collected by the children's consultation on examination of the life of an infant in a Tatar mountain family. Kazan. Dr. Gershenovich, Mirkis (Tashkent) and Raukhvarger (Alma-Ata) made a report regarding the examination of the Uzbek child's life. According to these authors, Uzbeks, as well as Tatars and Bashkirs, have many harmful customs that negatively affect the normal development of an infant: Uzbeks early feed, chew, are afraid of the sun, vegetables, the child sleeps in a bishek (cradle).

TO GET TO GARDZIENICE, you have to go by train or car for two or three hours. This is the journey in the ordinary sense of the word. Once you have arrived at the village, you begin a very different kind of journey as you hike the country paths, struggle down ravines, run over meadows – as you walk by the light of the sun during the day or torches at night.

On the 15th of March 1858, occurred an annular eclipse of the sun, whose entral line of shadow passed near the village of Steeple Aston, a few miles orth of Oxford. Ample preparations were made for observing it by residents in Oxford, and they were met on the ground by many persons from distance; Mr. Lasseli being one of the party, there was no lack of telescopic power. The day was unfavourable—cold and cloudy, with some ccasional feeble and delusive gleams, scarcely permitting a sight of the rogress of the eclipse, which, however, was obvious enough by the grow-g and diminishing darkness. Under these circumstances I devoted my trincipal attention to three thermometers, carefully selected and compared forehand—one mercurial with blackened bulb, another mercurial with lear bulb (these were placed in an open space exposed to the sun); the third, minimum- spirit thermometer, tint red, was placed in a shaded situation. The observations began at 11 h 30 m and lasted till 2 h 30 m , thus including he whole period of the eclipse, which began at 11 h 35 m , reached the maxium of obscuration at 0 h 54 m , and ended at 2 h 11 m . The apparent semi-ameters of the sun and moon were so nearly equal that the eclipse was lmost total (997/1000). The observations were recorded as follows:— During the late partial eclipse of the sun on the 6th of March 1867 observations of'the ingress of the moon were favoured at Oxford by brilliant weather; within fire minutes after the moment of maximum obscuration (742/1000) Clouds appeared; and from this time till the end of the eclips they never wholly disappeared, but did not prevent the progress of the moon and the degrees of obscuration from being correctly marked. At the very end it was only just possible to observe the egress by a momentary attenuation of the clouds; the remainder of the day was cold, cloudy, and finally snowy. The observations began at 8 h and ended at 10 h 50 s , thus including the whole period of the eclipse, which began at 8 h 12 m 15 s , reached the greatest obscuration at 9 h 26 m , and ceased at 10 h 45 m 8 s . At the moment of greatest obscuration the light-giving area was reduced to one-third of the solar disk.

IN HIS SEMI-AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL Orange County: A Personal History, Gustavo Arellano describes a surrealist dream of return migration to his ancestral village of El Cargadero, deep in the heart of north-central México. “A couple of months before finishing this book,” Arellano writes, “I experienced the most vivid dream: I won a contest in which the main prize was the ability to fly” (2008: 25). After crisscrossing disparate geographies, from South East Asia to Eastern Europe, Gustavo decided to descend on El Cargadero, arriving in the late afternoon, when “the sun bathes everything in a soft, radiant glow.” Gustavo’s dream depicts the village quite accurately, verging on the utopian before taking a surrealist turn: “El Cargadero sits on the slope of a mountain, so rays either enveloped houses or cast them in shadows.” Hovering above, Gustavo tried to eavesdrop on conversations, “but all I heard was the laughs of contentment,” he writes. Once he landed on terra firma, “Streetlights flickered on, lending a beautiful shine to the village,” and people greeted him warmly....

The potential of the economic sector of the community in the village of Buluh China, Siak Hulu Subdistrict, Kampar which has potential fisheries. The system of processing fish into salted fish products carried out through fish preservation by drying methods has long been practiced by fish preservative entrepreneurs. In particular, fish drying activities have long been a livelihood for salted fish processing communities in Buluh China village, Siak Hulu Sub-District, Kampar. However, in general, the process of preserving fish through drying methods by relying solely on sunlight is not optimal. The process of drying fish in Buluh China village, Siak Hulu Subdistrict, Kampar is still traditionally carried out, which is dried in the sun. This process takes a long time, it takes time in drying fish 2 to 4 days and that too depends on the sun. The purpose of this activity is to apply biomass-based drying technology for salted fish production. The method used is to make a dryer, biomass burning furnace, drying room (box). The results of this service show high enthusiasm from the community where salted fish production can be obtained in just 1.5 hours with temperatures in the drying chamber reaching 35 to 40 degrees Celsius.

The United Kingdom Supreme Court has recently handed down the much anticipated judgment in R (Barkas) v NorthYorkshireCounty Council(“Barkas”).  The case addressed the “by right” defence in village green law and whether use that is pursuant to a statutory right could be use “as of right” for the purposes of village green registration.  The court unanimously ruled that use “by right” could not be considered as use “as of right” and would not be qualifying use for the purposes of registration.  Use will be “by right” when it is pursuant to a statutory right to use the land, and is usually engaged when the land in question is in public ownership.  In reaching this judgment the court overruled the previous authority of R (Beresford) v SunderlandCity Council(“Beresford”).The Supreme Court left many questions unanswered, although the culmination of recent activity in village green law now makes it considerably harder to register new greens.  The inability to protect recreational spaces through village green registration potentially makes this land available for development, thus tipping the balance in favour of the economic aim, at the expense of the social and environmental aims, of sustainable development.

AND ORGANOLEPTIC TESTING AT THE GALO-GALO VILLAGE OF PULAU MOROTAI REGENCY. Traditional fish processing is a form of processing that is mostly done by fisherman especially in the village of Galo-Galo South Morotai District. Salted fish is very popular with the community and even made a souvenir typical of Morotai. This salted fish is usually sold to the traditional markets of Pulau Morotai and the surrounding area. This study aims to determine the process and organoleptic of salted fish in the Galo-Galo village, Pulau Morotai regency. This research was conducted from July to August 2019 in Galo-Galo village Pulau Morotai. To observe the process of making salted fish, and organoleptic, the researcher used a questionnaire and direct observation. Here’s the process of making salted fish: first of all, clean your fish well and remove from stomach contents and gills then rinse them and rub them with plenty of salt. Finally, hang the fish in the sun. Organoleptic test of salted fish from this village was very suitable for consumption because the value of organoleptic was very good (>7).

With a focus especially on The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window, this article argues that Hansberry’s work is, in a sense, underappreciated. Hansberry’s fame relies chiefly on A Raisin in the Sun, and critics have often failed to appreciate Brustein because of its general allusion to life in the Village and comparative lack of adherence to Black topics. The article however argues that this is an indicator of Hansberry’s overall strength as an author, rather than a weakness. The article assesses the work’s importance with allusions to Anne Cheney and comparisons to the writing of August Wilson. It additionally explores her upbringing in the Black bourgeosie.

The brighter aspects of hinmin life are examined here, with poor people seen as agents who embraced challenges and sought to enjoy life. At work, many found meaning in what they did, even as they strove to advance and engaged in individual acts of protest. In the political sphere, it is clear that hinmin were heavily involved in the public protests and riots that marked the late-Meiji years—and that they had a significant impact. At home, they read newspapers in surprising numbers, created communities that, over time, began to resemble the village communities from which they had come, and they worked to improve their finances and their lives. Beyond that, the hinmin were celebrators. Their participation in street markets, in holidays, in seasonal celebrations such as blossom-viewing, and in temple festivals is detailed, with an emphasis on the the Asakusa temples and entertainment centers.
