The potential of the laundry sector, the entrepreneur community / UKM Laundry in Tampan District, which has very potential business potential. This clearly saves the huge potential of the Laundry / UKM business sector. The clothes drying system, which is carried out through the traditional drying method, has long been practised by Laundry UKM entrepreneurs. In particular, the clothes drying activity has long been a source of livelihood for the Laundry UKM community in Panam District. However, in general, the process of drying clothes through a drying method that relies solely on sunlight is not optimal. The process of drying clothes by laundry entrepreneurs in the Tampan District is still done traditionally, namely drying in the sun. This process takes a long time, it takes 2 to 4 days to dry clothes and it also depends on the presence of sunlight. The drying machine is designed to utilize heat from burning coconut shell waste which functions as a heat collector. So that the drying process can take place quickly, at any time and without depending on the sun. Control of the drying temperature is done by opening and closing the air ducts in the dryer. This dryer consists of a solar collector, biomass burning furnace, and drying room (box). The drying room functions as a place for clothes to be dried. The flow of heat from burning coconut shell waste to the drying chamber. The result of drying clothes is better than traditional drying. The drying technology based on coconut shell waste to dry clothes will be applied in the Laundry UKM community in Tampan District, Pekanbaru which is the livelihood of some UKM in Tampan District, Pekanbaru City

More than three-quarters of Indonesia population depend on forest products, both timber and non-timber. Having not paying attention to sustainable forest management is believed to be the cause of forest damage getting worse in every year. COVID-19 made many people lose their livelihoods. If not anticipated, the remaining forest will suffer more damaged due to economic pressure forcing by communities around the area to doing deforestation. Honey bee cultivation is an alternative way of livelihoods for communities around forest areas. This is supported by the very high national scale demand for honey, but it is very inversely proportional with the low production of honey. The results showed that it is possible to cultivate Trigona Sp. bees in residential areas, buffer zone and traditional zone, so that it can be used as alternative source of income for the surrounding community, while preserving the environmental ecosystem. Within 4 months, honey yields from residential areas are 1.75 liters from 10 colonies, in the buffer zone as much as 4.3 liters from 13 colonies, and in the traditional zone as much as 10.65 liters from 44 colonies. Revitalization needs to be carried out in the buffer zone to provide additional protection for the area and benefit the community.

In early 2020, the world was shocked by the outbreak of new pneumonia that started in Wuhan, Hubei Province which then spread rapidly to more than 190 countries and territories. This outbreak is named coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) which is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). People are not aware that their hands are often contaminated with bacteria and viruses during their activities. One of the simplest ways and can be done to prevent this is to wash your hands using soap or antiseptic, hand sanitizer. Washing your hands can reduce the number of bacteria by up to 58%. The advantages of hand sanitizers can kill germs in a relatively fast time. The active ingredients of hand sanitizers are generally alcohol group compounds with a concentration of ± 60% to 80% and the phenol group (triclosan) so that they have a mechanism of action by denaturing and coagulating cell protein germs. Therefore, making hand sanitizers in simple stages can be done alone in community service activities. This service aims to find out how high public awareness is in dealing with the Covid-19 outbreak in everyday life. Evaluation of the service activities that will be carried out is to see how many people are aware of the importance of protecting themselves and the environment and maintaining distance in order to break the chain of spreading the virus.

Since March 2020 the spread of the Corona virus has hit almost all parts of the world. The number of victims is increasing while a cure has not yet been found. The angry community then began to take the initiative to save themselves and their families by buying medical devices such as masks, handsanitizers to APD (Personal Protective Equipment) clothes or better known as Hazmat shirts. Unfortunately, the price of these three materials has increased many times over, naughty parties play by piling up goods and then throwing them into the market at an unreasonable price. Do not lose their mind, people rack their brains to take advantage of new business opportunities in the Covid-19 era, including making and mixing their own handsanitizers, sewing masks and of course hazmat suits. The scarcity of these items actually affects the performance of medical personnel. This dedication is made in order to help empower UMKM in Pekanbaru City to try to read the market and produce their hazmat suits themselves. As a result, with the intense competition and the lack of public interest in sewing Hazmat clothes, the service team managed to embrace UMKM that manage their own convection, even though they are on a small scale.
