Science is the study of nature and extensionally to the study of man. Unani System of Medicine covers the nature and human body both, as it was evolved in the environment wherein entire of the scholars were pre-owned of philosophical approach. Then their philosophy was holistic and transcendentalist based. The basic blocks of Umoor Tabiya (Basic Principles) interact at many levels and manifest into Kaifiyyat (Mizaj), Akhlat (Humour), Arwah (Pneuma), Quwa (Potentiality for action) and Tabiyat (Physis, the regulatory faculty) which need to be comprehend for proper understanding of discharge of normal function in the state of health. Since, the predominance of metaphysics in understanding of physiological mechanism of human body needs reasoning and logic for their proper comprehension. Quwa are one of them. How it was perceived? What is the function? Why it is necessary? Which corporeal forms provide its existence? What is the relationship in between Quwa, Nafs and Hararat Ghariziya? So, the present paper strives to comprehend the concepts of metaphysics in contemporary learning mode and its application for understanding of mysteries of actions as performed by human body.

The written legacy of the Transylvanian princes preserved in Ukrainian archival funds is a less researched area. The aim of the article is to shed light on the documentary heritage of two Transylvanian princes preserved by the archival funds of Ukraine. The methodology of the research is based on the description of the sources, with the help of which new data is introduced into the scientific stream. Archival-descriptive methods were applied that can be used to exploit the historical data in the records. The scientific novelty of the article is about exploring sources that have not been published so far or have already been mentioned in the foreign literature, but are less known in the historical literature of Ukraine. Conclusions: The present study covers the documentary legacy of two princes, György Rákóczi I (1593-1648) and his great-grandson Ferenc Rákóczi II (1676-1735), examining the letters in the State Archives of the Transcarpathian Region, which were signed by them. Although the Transylvanian princes were not independent rulers, they left a significant mark in European history in the administrative, military and political spheres. Their military-political careers had an impact on the peoples of the region, the Ukrainians, the Hungarians, the Poles and the Germans alike. Of all the princes of the Rákóczi dynasty, the documentary legacy of the princes mentioned above is the richest in the State Archives of the Transcarpathian Region. The princes in question were suffering in the European space between the two great powers of the time, the Habsburgs and the Turkish Empire, and could succeed only with great effort. Letters, decrees, and other orders written or issued in the princely chancelleries, the description of which appears in this article, are essentially the result of the present research. These expand the image of the relationship between the peoples living in the principality and the Rákóczis, who often acted in political coercion. A detailed examination of the princes' letters of donation, the treaties with the rulers, or the relations with the poor peasantry may be of interest for further research

This review of new directions in the American and comparative literatures on the state reveals important intellectual trends that parallel each other quite closely. Both comparativists and Americanists address similar questions about the sources of state authority, and both propose similar answers. Collectively, these scholars and others are retheorizing the state—developing a suppler, multidimensional picture of the state's origins, structure, and consequences—to shed light on the reasons for the state's stubborn refusal to cede the stage. The emerging understanding of the state that the authors describe provides a framework not only for revisiting the state in the international realm but also, in dialogue with recent Americanist studies, for revising and deepening the understanding of the state's paradoxical role in American political development and finally setting aside the assumption of the United States as stateless. In this emerging view, American state building, strength, and institutional capacity form through links with society, not necessarily through autonomy from society. But such distinctive patterns provide insights for comparative studies, too, for instance, in respect to the relationship between the state and welfare policy across nations.

That the interaction between nutrition and the state of health of the animal is a matter of great importance to the stockbreeder has long been known. That this interaction is complex has also been appreciated for many years. This article explores the relationship between nutrition and one form of ill-health—that caused by nematode parasitism of the gastro-intestinal tract of the ruminant. Such parasitism is one of the widely acknowledged hazards of intensified animal husbandry.

This essay explores the circulation of rumour and news among those at the lower levels of society in late sixteenth- and early seventeenth-century England. It does so through an analysis of the court records in which people were indicted for spreading false reports or speaking seditious words and which are now preserved in assize files or amid the state papers. These sources reveal the networks of communication by which information was disseminated nationwide and shed light upon the relationship between oral, manuscript and printed media. They show how wild stories could be whipped up in the act of transmission and were fuelled by the political insecurities of this period. At the same time a more sophisticated awareness of current affairs is evident in some illicit conversations which suggest that even humble people were participating in the arguments which anticipated the Civil War.

BACKGROUND COVID-19 has disrupted lives and livelihoods and caused widespread panic across communities and societies. Emerging reports suggest that people living in rural areas in some countries are more susceptible to COVID-19. However, there is a lack of quantitative evidence that can shed light on whether residents of rural areas are more concerned about COVID-19 than residents of urban areas. OBJECTIVE This study investigated attitudes toward COVID-19 in different Japanese prefectures by aggregating and analyzing Yahoo! JAPAN search queries. METHODS We measured COVID-19 concerns in each Japanese prefecture by aggregating search counts of the COVID-19-related queries of Yahoo! JAPAN users and the data related to COVID-19 cases. We then defined two indices—the localized concern index (LCI) and localized concern index by patient percentage (LCIPP)—to quantitatively represent the degree of concern. To investigate the impact of emergency declarations on people's concerns, we divided our study period into three phases according to the timing of the declaration of the state of emergency in Japan: before, during, and after. In addition, we evaluated the relationship between the LCI and LCIPP in different prefectures by correlating them with prefecture-level indicators of urbanization. RESULTS Our results demonstrated that the concerns about COVID-19 in the prefectures changed in accordance with the declaration of the state of emergency. The correlation analyses also indicated that the differentiated types of public concern measured by the LCI and LCIPP reflect the prefectures’ level of urbanization to a certain extent (i.e., the LCI appears to be more suitable for quantifying COVID-19 concern in urban areas, while the LCIPP seems to be more appropriate for rural areas). CONCLUSIONS We quantitatively defined Japanese Yahoo users’ concerns about COVID-19 by using the search counts of COVID-19-related search queries. Our results also showed that the LCI and LCIPP have external validity.

The mutual relations between the public and psychiatrists make one wish for the best that, without exaggeration, we can say that hardly any other branch of medicine encounters such discontent from the public as psychiatry. The reason for this is partly to be found in the comparatively fewer favorable therapeutic results in the treatment of mental illnesses, partly in the gloomy depressing environment that your patients find themselves in. The author of the book being analyzed set out to shed light on the relationship that exists between the public and psychiatrists, as well as to find out the view of our society, at the heart of the sick and caring for them.

The current study proposes and refines the Appraisals in Personality (AIP) model in a multilevel investigation of whether appraisal dimensions of emotion predict differences in state neuroticism and extraversion. University students (N = 151) completed a five-factor measure of trait personality, and retrospectively reported seven situations from the previous week, giving state personality and appraisal ratings for each situation. Results indicated that: (a) trait neuroticism and extraversion predicted average levels of state neuroticism and extraversion respectively, and (b) five of the examined appraisal dimensions predicted one, or both of the state neuroticism and extraversion personality domains. However, trait personality did not moderate the relationship between appraisals and state personality. It is concluded that appraisal dimensions of emotion may provide a useful taxonomy for quantifying and comparing situations, and predicting state personality.
