The changes that are taking place today are a real challenge to education, and they require transformation of the traditional education model. We are focused on positive opportunities in education that were insufficiently developed. There is a new reality based on the technological revolution and the achievements of 4.0 industry. E-learning is becoming one of the most significant functional technologies. The problem is that the unified e-learning paradigm has not yet been fully developed from the scientific point of view. Effective management of the e-learning process can contribute to high-quality implementation of such training in higher education institutions. The paper discusses the relevance of e-learning and its possibilities to build a large number of students general competencies which are necessary for their successful professional development. The possibilities of LMS Moodle for effective management of students educational activities and their personalization are presented in the paper. The necessity of using the e-learning management system in order to provide high-quality education is shown through the E-course Foreign Language for students of Samara State Transport University.

This case study looks at the creation of a Transnational Framework for e-Learning Technologies. It describes how the original study which aimed to “Develop a Framework for e-Learning” through a given exemplar in a United Kingdom institution, has gone through several iterations. From initially considering e-Tutoring/e-Moderating from a Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) point of view, to the adoption of Blended Learning as a solution to problems revealed by the Framework. Proceeding to evaluate e-Learning in terms of PESTE (Political, Economic, Social, Technical and Environmental) factors, restated here in the form of STEP (Social, Technological, Economical and Political) factors, which led to the realization of major external issues for e-Learning. Most recently, the study evolved to revisit e-Learning from an HCI and Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) perspective, by applying a Cooperative Work Framework. The resulting final incarnation, a Transnational Framework for e-Learning, is thus presented.

In present China, bilingual teaching, as an education model, can meet an urgent demand for increasing interdisciplinary talents who have high levels of professional knowledge as well as competent foreign language abilities to deal with the ever-increasing global social, economic, scientific and technological exchanges, and international cooperation. Bilingual teaching is now developing fast in many local universities in China. However, the result is far from satisfaction. Inappropriate teaching strategies, learning materials as well as insufficient qualified bilingual teachers bring about the students’ lack of learning motivation, and thus to hamper the development of bilingual teaching. It is hoped that this paper can enrich the knowledge of bilingual teaching in local universities of China and provide useful and valuable information for students and teachers who are interested in this field. At the same time, it also provides a useful guidance for the future bilingual teaching practitioners.

This article examines the effectiveness of pedagogical techniques and means of stimulating educational motivation during the classes “Rendering and annotating text in a foreign language” in distant learning in higher education. Experimental training was conducted to test the effectiveness of the authors’ electronic text rendering tutorial for students learning Italian as a second language. The experiment was carried out among the 2-nd and 3-rd year students of the Linguistics department in the Institute of Foreign Languages of the RUDN University in the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 academic years. Currently e-learning has successfully integrated into the system of traditional education and is no longer seen as an alternative. The authors of this article focused on a combination of resources and tools from the Microsoft Teams platform and elaborated tutorial on rendering to motivate learners with distant learning. The article describes pedagogical practices for enhancing the motivation of students. We are talking about texts for rendering all major genres, functional styles, various topics, taking into account the level of students’ preparedness. With the aim of involving students in rendering activities and active expression of their own opinion, the researchers used an “ interpretive abstract “and included the paragraph “ OPPINIONE “ as its component. Experimental verification, its results and conclusions showed that combined rendering training based on e- tutorial developed by the authors and Microsoft Teams platform activates students’ motivation and contributes to their involvement in the process. The experiment showed another strong point of distant learning: it made a great contribution to the development of students’ independence, self-discipline and responsibility. 220.

In modern conditions the university acts as a subject in the market of educational services. As a result, in order to maintain competitiveness, it doesn’t just have to provide high-quality education, but also to conduct an effective advertising campaign. The article analyzes methods of agitation and advertising campaigns used by NAU «KhAI» based on the interpretation of sociological research results on the topic: “Motivational characteristics of «Law» specialty students who entered KhAI in 2017-2018”. According to the results of the study, one can conclude that the field of battle for the minds of entrants moved into the virtual space. Now the university's website is its business card, its "face". Creation of a virtual image and its maintenance become a priority area because the logic of humanity development is moving in this direction. Thus, traditional forms such as advertising on radio, television, newspapers and magazines are economically ineffective in comparison to advertising in the Internet. As for the content of the website, the first priority should be placed to detailed information of the specialties, content of the training courses, opportunities for studying applied sciences, description of the areas of application of the knowledge, skills, and competences. Full and up-to-date information on the website creates the image of the university that is keeping up to the times. Such website shows the university that meets modern requirements and is capable to provide high-quality education. This is extremely important in the face of fierce competition not only in the Ukrainian but also in the global educational services market. Some of the features of our mentality should be mentioned too. Numerous studies indicate extremely low level of trust in official institutions in our society. Instead we believe in the immediate surroundings, and therefore the point of view “Reviews of friends, parents, relatives” definitely will be among the leaders. But now, the Internet as a reliable source has gained a leading position as well. This fact should be, firstly, taken into account, and, secondly, used, and we mean not only official websites, but also blogs, Internet advertising, etc. On the other hand the significance of the "human factor" has increased a lot. Professional guidance work in schools with potential entrants has a positive effect. It is also necessary to emphasize the importance of selection committee staff work. While making their choice, graduates and their parents want to get advice from a university employee, and the quality of this consultation strongly affects the final decision to enter the university.

The emergence of e-services benefited the stakeholders due to ease of access to data, information and knowledge sources. Service-based applications have evolved into flexible and adaptable systems capable of coping with changes in user requirements and business processes. The shift from monolithic application silos towards service-oriented approaches is evident in the literature today. The benefits of service-oriented approaches include cost effectiveness, improved inter-operability, reusability, and flexibility. The benefits are not enjoyed without the threat of cognitively overloading managers in their decision making activities. Tools for effective management of information are necessary. Effective and efficient service-oriented applications need to operate within their situational boundaries. As such, decision support type tools require tight integration with the service-based approach. This study proposes an integrated Situated Service-Oriented Model and demonstrates its value via a case study of an e-learning service-based application used over a period of 15 months. Two designs were used; component-based and service-oriented. The significance of this study is in the tangible value of the model proposed and demonstrated by the e-learning case study.

This article explores the importance of high quality communication between managers and staff for the effective management of change within the National Health Service (NHS). In particular, a methodology termed communication audit is outlined. Such audits enable managers to gather accurate information about communication practices within organizations and allows them to assess the nature, quantity and quality of internal communications. This, in turn, facilitates the identification and resolution of potential problems and helps to provide a clearly focused agenda for action and change. A case study is offered which illustrates how such an audit was applied to a Unit of Management within the NHS. The implications for managers throughout the organization are then considered.

In the fourth revolution era talking innovation is not only necessary for improving and forwarding all social and economic activities, but also is it an exigence of those who are demanding high-quality goods or services. This is important for knowledge services, and becomes a core issue for educative issues designed for the millennials or digital natives. Sometimes, these exigencies are no shown directly, but it is possible assessing them by means of the analysis of sentiments, which reflects a range of feelings which are not clearly verbalized and even self-recognized. This paper analyzes sentiments for assessing the importance of innovative procedures in higher education, from the point of view of the students. A prototype architecture – LADEL (Learning Analytics Dashboard for E-Learning) - is introduced, for dealing with the diverse e-learning domains. Some experiments are conducted. This demonstrated the necessity of innovative procedures in higher education, since it is a widespread, multidisciplinary and transversal demand, even it is not always explicit.
