Abstract:REFERENCE MATRIX FOR COGNITIVE EVALUATION ON THE SOCIO-CULTURAL DIMENSION OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION IN SCHOOLHistorically, physical-sporting aspects in the discipline of Physical Education formed the basis of content, teaching practices and general assessment of this curriculum component. However, cognitive learning content on the socio-cultural dimension of bodily practices has become relevant to teaching and assessment methods, the latter expressed both in the context of the classroom and in large-scale assessments. Objective: The study aims to develop and validate a reference matrix for the large-scale evaluation of the socio-cultural dimension of Physical Education content in Elementary School (9th grade). Methodology: A questionnaire based on the learning objectives of Physical Education in Elementary School as stipulated by the National Curriculum Parameters of Brazil (1998) was administered to 232 teachers and researchers in Physical Education in Elementary School (from 6th to 9th grade). The group of respondents, selected from 5 regions of Brazil, had a professional distribution of 57.3% teachers and doctors and 42.7 % graduates and specialists. We conducted exploratory factor analysis using SPSS v.22.0. Results: The results indicate that 1) the study had an adequate sample (KMO=0.925; BST≤0.01) 2) the 15 items had satisfactory explanation (commonality ≥ 0.5), 3) satisfactory total variance explained (71.46%) , 4) there were 3 extracted factors: a) educational and popular Sports games, b) Sports, fights and gymnastics, and c ) dances; 5) there was high internal consistency with values above 0.9. Conclusions: It is argued that the detailed reference matrix can help teachers and researchers in Physical Education in Elementary School (9th grade) to cognitively assess learners for content on the socio-cultural dimension of bodily practices. Keywords: Cognitive assessment, Physical Education, socio-cultural dimension.

Formulamos o ecossistema do Ensino de estocástica na Educação Básica considerando o Guidelines for Assessment and Instruction in Statistics Education - GAISE. The purpose of this paper was to determine the relationships established between the curriculum guidelines documents in Brazil at national level, aimed at students and teachers, considering Stochastic Teaching in Elementary School and based on the Anthropological Theory of the Didactic (TAD) and its ecological perspective. We formulate the ecosystem of Stochastic Education in Guidelines for assessment and instruction in statistics education (GAISE) Report: A Pre-K-12 Curriculum Framework. The results indicate that there is an isolated "orientation" regarding the teaching of Statistics, Probability and Combinatorial Analysis, not converging to the teaching of Stochastics. But, we believe in the expectation of including Stochastic Education in the curricula of teacher training in Mathematics, methodologically and in practice.

This chapter outlines the historical background and current development of music education assessment in China. Following the revision of the national curriculum guidelines in 2011, the chapter analyzes (1) the value of the national standards at different school levels, (2) how the national standards affect teachers and schools, and (3) how much the teachers read/follow the guidelines in China. This chapter investigates and examines how assessment policy and practice are used in Chinese music classrooms from elementary, middle, and high schools. Furthermore, it discusses how local music teachers assess their music students and the effectiveness of the national curriculum guidelines used in music classes. The author determines that the current practice of music assessment at all school levels in China is too basic and not diversified. Designing a valid assessment that allows students at all levels to demonstrate their learning outcomes seems to be necessary for music education in China.

This article builds a mapping in order to analyze the theses and dissertations about body, health, curriculum and training of health professionals. For this, theses and dissertations were mapped in the period from 2010 to 2020 through a state-of-the-art study. The composition of the data is given by the presentation and discussion of the listed texts. As for research, these concern the production of bodies based on biotechnological discourses; professional training in health; others point to the curricula of health courses after the National Curriculum Guidelines (DCN); the performance of health professionals in relation to the Unified Health System (SUS); teaching strategies for health training; corporeidity in the curricula, especially in the curricula of the Physical Education course; the anatomoclinical body and educational health practices. In this perspective, some contributions, limits and possibilities of this academic production were observed.

To enable the process of energy transition towards carbon neutrality, it is important to educate the community on the need for social, economic, environmental and institutional transformation, and to educate and inform citizens to participate proactively in this change. This study evaluated the effectiveness of participation by elementary school students in educational activities and citizen science actions in enhancing their scientific knowledge and skills related to Ocean Literacy in the context of climate change. The activities were directed to children (aged 9–11) and involved pre-service teachers, in-service teachers and researchers, in formal and non-formal contexts. A total of 329 elementary school students participated in interdisciplinary science activities, focusing on the cause & effect of climate change in the ocean. They learned to identify rocky shore marine species used to monitor climate change and acquired ICT skills by inserting species observations in a biodiversity mapping platform. Finally, students worked collaboratively to communicate to the community what they have learned through an exhibition at the Museum João de Deus. To assess the impact of the activities on acquisition of scientific knowledge and skills by the students, a mixed methodology was applied using pre and post-tests, analysis of the data inserted by students in the platform, and content analysis of the students’ work for the museum exhibition. The results of pre and post-tests revealed a significant increase in knowledge of the effects of climate change on the rocky shore species distribution, as well as of the importance of monitoring these species distribution. The data from the online biodiversity platform showed that 42% of the species identifications made by the students were correct. The ability of the students to communicate their learning to the wider community was evaluated by the scientific content, structure, presentation and creativity and of posters, models, videos and games produced. Most of students focused their communications and creations on the greenhouse effect, cause & effect of climate change in the ocean and biodiversity. This study reinforces the importance of addressing Ocean Literacy and climate change through formal and non-formal educational activities with an investigative nature.
