AbstractIncreasingly, blending teaching has become a reality in a generation where the digital language is present in virtually every activity. In addition to allowing greater independence and encouraging students to learn at their own pace, blending teaching allows the student to easily access reliable information quickly. Therefore, new studies related to active learning methodology are fundamental. In this study we analyzed 69 interactions between high school students and their teachers in a biology learning activity using a social networking site and the methodology proposed by Mortimer and Scott. The results showed that the prior knowledge of students as well as questions posing challenges and problems to be solved, a very important approach in learning Science Methodology, were barely explored by teachers and mediators (17% and 1%, respectively). Our data demonstrated that the use of digital technology alone does not guarantee interactions that contribute to the learning process in the field of natural sciences. Proposals were also discussed so that these interactions become more diversified and interesting for students, arousing interest in research and promoting the knowledge of scientific methodology.

The scientific approach constitutes an approach to Indonesia's 2013 curriculum. Since it is imperative for Indonesian education, all teachers need to understand, manage, and apply it in the teaching-learning process. Unfortunately, many English teachers still use inappropriate methods as in the 2013 curriculum. This qualitative research aims at discovering the implementation of a scientific approach by English teachers at State Senior High School in Lhokseumawe. The objects were English teachers at SMAN 1 Lhokseumawe, SMAN 2 Lhokseumawe, and SMAN 5 Lhokseumawe. The tools used in this study were observation for three high school English teachers in the schools. The observation results toward the implementation of five scientific approach stages exposed that the English teachers did not carry out the five stages completely. The teacher should master, understand, and apply the teaching process by following the whole stages of the scientific approach. Class mastery and time management are vital for the learning process. Thus, the teachers should consider those points. Hence, interesting supporting media, appropriate learning material, and methods must be considered by the teachers in teaching so that the students will be motivated to learn.

The Oe3r strategy is an effort to develop a learning model based on inquiry. Oe3r strategy consists of orientation, exploration, explanation, elaboration, and reflection. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Oe3r strategy on the chapter redox reaction and obtain student responses on it. The research used a quantitative descriptive method. Implementation description is derived from observations on the learning process, while student responses are obtained by capturing responses through questionnaires. The implementation of the Oe3r strategy was carried out in High school students with 35 students. The results of this research indicate that students give good to respond, felling meaningful on the learning process and expect the Oe3r strategy can be applied in other chapters.

Technological development is highly needed to support education in this modern era. It makes the learning objectives are achieved maximally. Therefore, learning media is one of the success factors of the learning process that has to be considered in all subjects. Physical Education, Sports and Health (PJOK) subject also needs innovative learning media to gain students’ interest in learning and understanding the material. The purpose of the research is to analyze the Android-based mobile learning application that is produced to support the aforementioned subject. This research is a development research that produces a learning media in healthy lifestyle teaching materials in Physical Education, Sports and Health (PJOK) subject at senior high school. The result shows that the overall aspects percentage of material expert validation is 73.61% with feasible criteria. The overall aspects percentage of media expert validation is 68.75% with feasible criteria. The overall aspects percentage of practitioner expert validation is 90,00% with very feasible criteria. The percentage of students’ assessment through small group tests for all aspects is 81.60% with very feasible criteria. The percentage of students’ assessment through large group tests for all aspects is 83.92% with very feasible criteria. The result of the test shows that the mean score of experimental class is 82.97, and the control class is 78.11. The conclusion of the research shows that the development of Android-based mobile learning media product is feasible to be utilized in Physical Education, Sports and Health (PJOK) learning process. The product of the development of Android-based mobile learning media is also effective to improve student learning outcomes.

Virus material is material that is difficult for students to understand, so it requires media that can clarify virus material. The solution to this problem is to create interactive learning media. This study aims to see the needs of students for interactive learning media based on Adobe Flash CS6 about virus material for class X students of SMAN 6 Bataghari. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The method used to collect data was done through distributing online questionnaires to class X students and interviewing one biology teacher. The results of the study revealed that students had difficulties in understanding biology learning on viral material due to the abstract material and the lack of learning media that attracted students' attention and interest in learning. In addition, students considered the media used by the previous teacher to be monotonous and less attractive. Therefore, we need an interactive learning media that can help students to understand the learning material.

This research studied about classroom management problems faced by pre-service teacher. Pre-service teacher is student teachers before they have under taken any teaching. Before they are graudate, they have to accomplish teacher training subject. When they come to schools to teach students, they find so many new things, such as; the real instructional devices, students’s characters of senior high school, students’ responses in learning process. In this study, the writer investigated the students’ responses in learning process, and it become challanging for pre-service teacher to solve bed students’ responses. There are some classroom mangement problems that pre-service teacher faced, they are: students always lots of students played mobile phone, been lazy, had chat, been passive students during learning process.

A conducive learning situation is essential in learning English. However, one problem that usually disturbs the learning situation is the appearance of disruptive behavior. Students' disruptive behavior is an inappropriate behavior conducted by students during the learning process which turns the classroom into unconducive. Exactly, there are several factors contribute to the occurrence of disruptive behavior in the English lesson, especially on senior high school students. Thus, the current study was a case study aimed to investigate several causes of students' disruptive behavior in English teaching-learning process in the classroom. The subjects of this study consisted of an English teacher and a class of twelfth-grade students in a small town in Indonesia. The data were collected using observation and interview. The result of this study showed that students' disruptive behavior in the English classroom was caused by internal factor and external factor. Feeling boredom, feeling anxiety, and seeking attention were internal factor that became the occurrence of disruptive behavior. While fatigue was the external factor that causes the emergence of students' disruptive behavior in the English teaching-learning process in the classroom.             Keywords Disruptive Behavior, English Classroom, Senior High School Students, Teachers’ Management

The implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) based on lesson study aimed to determine its effect on the biology learning achievement of high school students. This referred to quasi-experimental research by applying CTL learning based on lesson study to the experimental class and conventional learning in the control class. The population in this study amounted to 286 students (Science X class students of SMA Negeri 2 Jember). The sample in this study was determined through homogeneity test, normality test, and random sampling to determine the control class and the experimental class. The students' affective learning achievement was analyzed by using the independent sample t-test, while their cognitive learning achievement was analyzed by using ANAKOVA test. Based on the test results of the independent sample t-test, it was found that the students' affective learning achievement differed significantly between the students in experimental class and control class. Based on the results of ANAKOVA test, it was known that the application of CTL learning based on Lesson Study has a significant effect on students' cognitive learning achievement.

Online service in the form of the Powtoon application can be used to develop physics learning media with presentations that have very interesting animation features. The purpose of this research is to produce a learning media product in the form of a compact disk (CD) on the subject of the atomic nucleus in the learning process of class XII high school students. The research method uses Research and Development with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) which is modified only to the development stage. Based on the results of the validation test on the content aspect obtained 90%, the design aspect 83%, the pedagogic aspect 87%, and the ease of use aspect 84%. The results of this research indicate that the learning media using the Powtoon application on the atomic nucleus material is declared valid. Thus the Powtoon application-based learning media is declared feasible to be used as a learning media on atomic nucleus material in class XII SMA.
