The novel corona virus disease 2019 has been declared a global public health emergency & is affecting people across the globe. Dental Surgeons are at an invariably high risk of contracting COVID 19. Since all dentists are slowly resuming their full practice they shall be fully prepared. Aim of the study is to assess the knowledge, attitude & practise of Dental Surgeons regarding the novel Corona Virus Disease 2019 in District, Dehradun. An online Questionnaire was circulated among dental surgeons in District, Dehradun. The Questionnaire consisted of 5 sections: 1. Consent, 2. Epidemiological Data, 3. Knowledge Based Questions (11 Questions), 4. Attitude Based Questions (8 Questions), 5. Practice Based Questions (11 Questions). 107 responses were collected in total. Most dental surgeons had a degree of MDS (Masters of Dental Science): 60.7%. Good knowledge and practice scores were observed among 92.7% and 79.5% of the dental surgeons. Significant association of good knowledge scores with qualifications (p = 0.04) and years of practice (p = 0.02) was found; while good practice scores were associated with qualifications only (p = 0.03). Dental surgeons in district Dehradun were found to have good knowledge and practice scores, which is important to skirmish COVID-19. They are hence advised to follow the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) World Health Organization (WHO), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) guidelines in their clinics and should sensitize their staff as well. So that they themselves, their staff and patients all remain safe.

The Novel Corona virus is emerging as a Global public health threat. The outbreak initially emerged in Wuhan, China, large numbers of patients were getting sick because of Pneumonia and later it was found that they were nfected with the Novel Corona virus this emphasizes the importance of analyzing the data of this virus and predicting their risks of infecting people all around the globe. In this study, we present an effort to compile and analyze the outbreak information on COVID19 based on the open datasets on 2019 nCoV provided by the Johns Hopkins University, World Health Organization. An exploratory data analysis with visualizations has been made to understand the number of different cases reported (confirmed, death, and re-covered) in the World. Overall, at the outset of an outbreak like this, it is highly important to readily provide information to begin the evaluation necessary to understand the risks and begin containment activities.

Corona Virus Disease-2019 commonly known as COVID-19 which has been defined by the Novel Corona Virus. It is a family of severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) and was first detected during respiratory outbreak. It was first reported to the World Health Organization on December 31, 2019. On January 30, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 eruption a global health emergency. As of 27-May-2021 169,095,283 confirmed cases have been reported in the world and 2, 73, 67, 935 cases in India. It is required to identify the infection with high precision rate but there are lots of deficiency in the diagnosing system that may resulted false alarm rate. Initially it could be detected through throat saliva but now it can also be identified thought the impairment in lungs from computerized tomographical imaging technique. This paper reviewed various researches over COVID-19 diagnosis approach as well as the syndrome in respiratory organs. There are so many imaging techniques through which lungs impairments can be detected that may diagnose COVID-19 with high level of accuracy. CT scan image is the best alternative for diagnosing COVID-19.

A cluster of pneumonia cases of unknown aetiology was reported from Wuhan, Hubei province of China on 31st December, 2019. The World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) on 30th January, 2020. Thereafter, it has spread through China and reached the level of a pandemic expanding to 210 countries with 77.9M confirmed cases and 1.71M deaths as per Corona virus Disease (COVID-19) situation report issued by WHO based on data received upto 23rdDecember, 2020. A number of questions remain unanswered regarding pathogen-associated variables for amplification dynamics, host environment and agent interaction. This short communication makes an effort to compile the information gathered from published articles of renowned journals and newsletters to explore the epidemiological characteristics of COVID-19. Hereby in this article, authors have tried to assemble the epidemiological lacunae created by the novel characteristics of the SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-Corona Virus-2) which presently pose a rather puzzling transmission dynamics of COVID-19 that still remain unanswered.

Background: Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a global pandemic still at large whose vaccination is in a trial phase. Dental practitioners are at high risk of exposure to this deadly epidemic. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to assess the knowledge and practice of dentists in the city of Multan, Pakistan. Method: This cross-sectional study was carried out in Multan, Pakistan from January to March 2021. A 30 items valid and reliable self-administrative questionnaire was used to assess the knowledge, practice, and source of information regarding the COVID-19 pandemic from dentists. Result: The results showed that the majority of dentists practicing in Multan had good knowledge (97.8%) and more than half of the respondents had good practice (65.6%). The most common source of their knowledge was WHO and Television. Almost half of the respondents showed fear of this virus in their practices. Conclusion: Dental practitioners of Multan revealed good knowledge regarding COVID-19. However, some key points were lacking in their knowledge and practice. Our findings have important implications for developing strategies that will improve the knowledge and practices of dentists in this region and also in whole country. In the mid-end of December 2019, several cases of pneumonia outbreak of unknown cause and etiology were identified in Wuhan City of Hubei province in China, a city with a population of over 11 million.Till date(April 2020) around 1,051,635 confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) and 56,985 confirmed deaths have been reported according to COVID-19 Situation Report – 75 by WHO. On 7th January 2020, the causative agent was identified and named consequently as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) by the Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CCDC) from throat swab samples. Later, on 12th January 2020, this coronavirus was named as 2019-novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) by World Health Organization (WHO) and in 11th February 2020,it has been declared the epidemic disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 as Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19) as it is spreading rapidly from its origin in Wuhan City to the rest of the world. In this context, the current review provides a landscape of the novel Corona Virus including its origin, transmission, epidemiology, drugs and vaccines in clinical trials for better understanding to the reads and peoples the status and future perspectives of this pandemic disease

Among disparate infectious diseases viral infection in particular challenges survival of mankind across the globe. By superseding those events, 2019 novel (CoVID-19) or SARS-CoV-2 has become a new human health crisis threatening the world. Corona viruses (CoV) are large family of viruses that affects birds and mammals. In humans, Corona virus can cause respiratory tract infection ranging from the common cold to more serious infection such as SARS (Severe acute respiratory syndrome), MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) and CoVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease 2019) which can also become lethal. The Novel corona virus (CoVID-19) originated in 2019, is a novel virus which has not been identified in humans since past. At present, the source of CoVID-19 is not known. Although the infection is presumed to be in origin, person to person transmission is evident. Many supportive and symptomatic therapies where being carried out by the Medical practitioners as per the instructions of World Health Organization (WHO) with a hypothesis and there is no evidence that it works against CoVID-19. best to lower the current crises of infection is prevention and many measures that boosts the immunity are following by the people as directed by the Ministry of AYUSH.

Human history is observing a very horrible and strange situation fighting a very small enemy. The Novel COVID-19 corona virus. On 11 feb 2020 world health organization has declared a name for covid disorder and has said covid as a global public health diease and also as a pandemic due to its worldwide spread. It started as an outbreak in december with its birth place in wuhan people of china has came out as a global public health exigency of worldwide trouble. Corona virus are the group of virus with non segmented, single stranded and positive sence RNA genome. In this narrative review article, reference was taken from different article published in various database. Maximum article including the information of pregnancy and covid-19 were reviewed. A review of 11article with world health organization site information it is found that the symptoms of corona virus disease in non-pregnant occurred indistinguishable to that of gravid mother. There is no information regarding perinatal transmission in parturiency. It has been disclosed that corona virus can cause distress in gravid mother, miscarriage and also fetal distress. In general due to lack of relevant information regarding the effect of corona virus disease on gravidity it is obligatory to have more and more studies in this area.

Abstract Background Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) epidemic is a public health emergency of international concern. Dentists are exposed to the enormous risk of COVID-19 infection during this epidemic. This study aims to assess the knowledge and practice of dentists toward the COVID-19 epidemic in Lebanon. Methods We conducted an online survey using the snowball-sampling technique. Information on socio-demographic data, knowledge, practice, and additional information required concerning COVID-19 were collected. Results Our results showed that the majority of the Lebanese dentists had good knowledge (91.3%), and nearly half of the respondents had a good practice (58.7%) regarding COVID-19. The most common information source was the World Health Organization (73.7%). Multiple linear regression showed that specialist dentists who completed training on COVID-19 with a high level of knowledge had better practice. Conclusions Lebanese dentists revealed good knowledge regarding COVID-19. However, dentists had limited comprehension of the extra precautionary measures that protect the dental staff and patients from this virus. Our findings have important implications for the development of strategies suitable for improving the level of practice among dentists and enhance prevention programs.

Recently, the corona virus as known COVID-19 is an influenza-like symptoms virus that can give a deadly effect on humans. World Health Organization (WHO) has declared that this virus is a “Pandemic” and there is not the country that considered safe from this virus. Indonesia is one of the countries affected by the Corona virus and according to the data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) of Indonesia on April 2, 2020, 1,790 people were positively infected by the corona virus. In this research, we will explain the knowledge of undergraduate students, especially the teacher education department about the corona virus to prevent the spread of the virus in its environment. The method that was used in this study was a qualitative method and 116 undergraduate students in the elementary education teacher department were used as respondents. The data was taken from March 23rd-31st,2020 from online questionnaires form. There were five questions in the online questionnaire form to test the level of student understanding of this virus. The research shows that almost all respondents (97.44%) stated that they knew information about the corona virus. Besides, the data shows that almost all respondents know about prevention methods and indicators of infected people with the corona virus even though the information is not known in depth.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by the emerging virus, severe acute respiratory distress syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), was announced as a pandemic by the World Health Organization as a global public health emergency. Since the first case of COVID-19 was declared the Moroccan government set up drastic preventative measures to deal with the spread of the virus such as compulsory containment, telework, distance education, use of masks in public places, and many other preventive measures. Pregnant women require special attention in relation to prevention, diagnosis and management. We herein reported a prospective observational study that aims to evaluate the security and effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine on pregnant women with corona virus disease. Our study is a prospective study performed in the three hospitals specialized on corona virus disease 2019 in tangier morocco. We included pregnant women hospitalized with COVID-19 and reproductive-aged. Most cases took the hydroxychloroquine treatment. The maternal outcomes under hydroxychloroquine appear good in most cases for both mother and child and seemed to be safe according to several studies on its use for rheumatic diseases. In the absence of more robust data, this treatment might be best practice in countries that can’t afford the expensive antiviral treatment in this outbreak especially in emergency situations.
