Human beings are deeply related to land. Human beings take birth on land, live on land, die on land and mixes with land ultimately. As stated in the holy Quran: ‘We (Allah) created you (human beings) from the soil, we shall make you return to the soil and We shall call you back again from the soil’ (20:55). Human life is surrounded by soil i.e. land. So, land is a highly completed issue of human life involving economic, social, political, cultural and often religious systems. Land administration is thus a critical element and often a pre-condition for peaceful society and sustainable development. In administrating land, Khatian or record of rights plays a vital role to determine the rights and interests of the respective parties as supportive evidence. In this article, discussion is mainly made on the fact that Khatian or record of rights is not a document of title solely but it may be an evidence of title as well as possession. Indian entrepreneurs have observed this growth opportunities and providing healthcare services in multiple ways. However, the literature emphasizes that without integrating information technology in existing healthcare facilities, quality service cannot be rendered to a large number of patients. With this backdrop, the present study is a novel endeavour to explore the role of information technology in Indian healthcare services. It aims to explain the relevance and dimensions of information technology in relation to healthcare services and examines the empirical relationship between identified dimensions and some demographical factors (age, educational qualification, income, and gender). The results of this study can be beneficial to healthcare professionals, service enablers, implementing agencies, and policy makers. In the long run, increasingly capable machines will transform the work of professionals, giving rise to new ways of sharing practical expertise in society. This is the central thesis of our book. We cannot commit to timeframes, in large part because the speed of change is not in our hands. But we are confident that the change will constitute an incremental transformation rather than an overnight revolution. In the language of the book, the shift itself can be characterized in many ways: as the industrialization and digitization of the professions; as the routinization and commoditization of professional work; as the disintermediation and demystification of professionals. Whatever terminology is preferred, we foresee that, in the end, the traditional professions will be dismantled, leaving most (but not all) professionals to be replaced by less expert people and high-performing systems. We expect new roles will arise, but we are unsure how long they will last, because these too, in due course, may be taken on by machines. In the post-professional society, we predict that practical expertise will be available online. Our strong inclination is to encourage the removal of current and future gatekeepers, and to provide people with as much access as is feasible to this collective knowledge and experience. The final step in our argument is to explain why we think that it is desirable to liberate practical expertise in this way. When we speak above and throughout about technology and its impact on the professions, we are conscious that it might sound as though we believe the future is already mapped out in detail and is somehow inevitable— that we are hardline ‘determinists’. Our analysis in Chapter 4, for example, makes it clear that we expect machines to become increasingly capable, that devices will be increasingly pervasive, and that human beings will be increasingly connected. And we certainly do anticipate an exponential growth in information technology. While we do not foresee these developments unfolding as a matter of necessity, we do regard them as extremely probable (barring asteroids, nuclear wars, pandemics, or the like). However—and this is where we part company with determinists—this does not mean that human beings have no control over future direction.

Violence in Islam could be caused by many factors. However, the main problem of the violent occurance is a lack of humanity. This research shows that tasawwuf (sufism) arguably has profoundly contributed to the making of Indonesian Islam which is humanist and inclusive. This research seeks to examine the role of tasawwuf in shaping the humanist character of santri (students of pesantren), in two pesantrens (Islamic boarding school) in Indonesia, which are Pondok Pesantren Krapyak, Yogyakarta, and Pondok Pesantren Annuqayah, Madura. The first object is a representation of pesantren in heterogeneous area in which various ethnic groups, religious and cultural communities live, the latter is a representation of pesantren in homogeneous region where Islam is much more dominant and consists of one ethnic group, speak the same language, and share similar culture. This research focuses on the impacts of tasawwuf teaching in the process of the internalization of santris’ humanist character in these two particular pesantren. The method of this research is an observation and in-depth interview with phenomenological approach. The result shows that the two pesantrens utilize al-Ghazali's tasawwuf literature as the main reference for the teaching process, and it was proven to be a huge part in internalizing humanist character for santris in general. There are two great values that can be learned from the tasawwuf teachings in shaping this humanist character. First, the perception of God. Tasawwuf perceives God as the Mighty and Merciful entity. This perception is originated from the concept of raja’ (hope), tawbah (repentance), and rahmah (mercy). The second is the perception of human beings. Humans are understood as dynamic entities. The concept of su' al-khatimah (bad end to life) and husn al-khatimah (good end to life) plays a vital role in leading santris’ notion in opposing any form of violence.

This study investigates the role of organizational commitment as a mediator between the Islamic work environment and the employee’s job satisfaction and performance. The study was conducted through the review of previous literature on the variables. It was discovered that previous studies did not include Islamic values as part of their workplace environment framework and only investigate the effect of organizational commitment as the result instead of moderating variable. Thus, a new conceptual model is proposed which will include the Islamic workplace environment as the independent variable, job satisfaction and performance as the dependent variable and organizational commitment as the moderating variable. The model is expected to provide a better understanding to the organization, especially Multinational Corporations (MNC) in understanding the importance of providing Islamic workplace environment for their employees.
