It has been designed to reflect on the representations of female teachers about being a woman and being an elementary school teacher. We use as instruments, the literature and the technique of focus groups. From this perspective, it sought to ground Dubar (1997) and Chartier (1990). Our findings led us to understand that the protagonists of this study believe that when it comes to teaching profession, women have a profile for teaching children and men for teaching major or adult learners, because of inherent gender characteristics. Keywords: Woman. The article reveals the practical experience of an elementary school teacher in shaping knowledge of different types of speech (types of text) among third-graders: text-description; narration text; text-reasoning. An example of organizing a Russian language lesson to familiarize with the text-reasoning is given. The role of such teaching methods as observing the characteristics of texts of different types, conducting an educational dialogue, and independent work on creating texts of different types is emphasized.
