This research paper presents results of the two years study aimed at eliciting gender segregation among the teaching school personnel in the schools of St. Petersburg. The topic is being elaborated through the lens of the education relationships stakeholders (teachers, parents, learners, school management) own views on the problem. Paper shows that the views of the respondents depend on their age, gender and position in school. The most gender-dependent respondents are pedagogues older than 40 and administration staff. Male teachers are more prone to emphasize gender differences than their female colleagues, whereas high school students’ involvement in the subject learning and their perceptions of the teaching style are not anyhow connected with the gender of the teacher. However, high school students' parents prefer to hire men as private tutors, just as the primary scholars' parents opt for female teachers against their male colleagues. The authors conclude that teachers in St. Petersburg schools don’t identify gender segregation as an apparent problem, as well as the whole system doesn’t struggle with the gender imbalance and gender roles differences.

Concentration and memory are considered as sisters. Without classroom concentration, students cannot memorize the subject matter. Even a student has a good concentration, without memory it may not be useful. The present study was observed the level of concentration and memory in 8th to 10th studying high school students. A total of 2132, students from 9 High schools were selected for the study. Out of them, 1352 are male and 780 are female. Using simple questions, student's response was taken. The study revealed that high percent of male students expressed concentration and memory problem compared to female students.

The study deals with the developing interactive media for senior high school students. The objective of this study is to find out how to develop interactive media for better speaking skill of senior high school students. The research was conducted by using Research and Development (R&D). The subject of this research was 2016/2017 students of the eleventh grade of Class XI IPA4 in SMAN 1 Batang Kuis. The number of the students was 30 students. The data of this study was collected by using need analysis questionnaire and experts’ judgment. Need analysis questionnaire was calculated by using percentage to get the information of students’ need before developing interactive media. Experts’ judgment was calculated by using likert data, mean and criteria interval of expert judgment to know the validity of interactive media which has been developed. After the data analyzed, it was found that the experts’ judgment result was 4.80 which had a very good criteria interval. The result of the research find that interactive media is a very good to be used in teaching speaking skill.

<div>We present here an interdisciplinary workshop on the subject of biomolecules offered to undergraduate and high-school students with the aim of boosting their interest toward all areas of science contributing to the study of life. The workshop involves Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science and Biology. Based on our own areas of research, molecular modeling is chosen as central axis as it involves all disciplines. In order to provide a strong biological motivation for the study of the dynamics of biomolecules, the theme of the workshop is the origin of life. </div><div>All sessions are built around active pedagogies, including games, and a final poster presentation.</div>

The Alternative Opportunity Program is preventive in nature, and designed for junior high school students “at risk” for dropping out or becoming delinquent offenders. Students are carefully screened and participate voluntarily. Part of each day is spent in the regular school and part on the campus of Camp Oakland—a privately-funded treatment facility. The program consists of three major components: Education, Student Support Services and Guidance/Management Instruction for teachers and parents. Evaluation data show that student grades and attendance have improved during participation in the program. Some of the crucial components of the program appear to be the cooperation of the regular school personnel, the voluntary nature of placement, the inclusion of parents in counseling and support services, and the maintenance of a positive image for the program at the regular junior high school.

The necessity of the moral education of students of high school students as an initiation to the values of which are in the teacher-written cultural and educational space. Amended scientific understanding of the concept of educational space and proved that the substantive content of the notion of cultural and educational space gets through the involvement of the term culture. The essence of cultural and educational space of the university lies in its multi-dimensionality, which is expressed in infinity broadcast through the channels of education and training culture as the experience of, the experience of spiritual and practical development of the world in the moral experience moral, value relationships according to the criterion limit it (experience) of the base (value of a person), by which the subject-object, object-subject and subject-subject relations are optional. The content of the cultural and educational space, formed the subject-object and subject-subject relationship, the relationship between them becomes dialectical by the object-subject relationship in which there are values that are axiological nucleus of activity, axiological form of culture. Determine the purpose of the subject-object and subject-subject relations as the content of the image of cultural and educational space, and on the basis of this mission revealed features of pedagogical activity of the teacher conducting the moral education of students: to provide storage, reproduction, broadcast culture as the experience of concluded (experience) in ostensive, imperative, axiological forms of culture, its forms-principles; organization of the work of students with cultural forms; student organization ascent from axiological forms of culture its forms-principles; transfer of experience of spiritual and practical development of morality in the world, the experience of behavior and activity, experience, moral, value relations.

This article draws on qualitative data of U.S. high school students considering their place in the adult world; the purpose is to investigate Jeffrey Arnett’s (2000) concept of “emerging adulthood” as a new stage of life course. Drawing on interviews and observational data collected around the time when Arnett’s notion of emerging adulthood started to take hold, I use intersectional interpretive lens in order to highlight how race and gender construct emerging adulthood as high school students move out of adolescence. I consider Arnett’s thesis twofold. First, when emerging adulthood is examined intersectionally, young people reveal that – rather than being distinct periods that can simply be prolonged, delayed, or even reached – life stages are fluid and constantly in flux. Second, since efforts to mitigate against uncertain futures characterizes the Millennial generation, I argue that the process of guarding against uncertainty reorders, questions or reconfigures the characteristics and stages that conventionally serve as markers of life course. I conclude that the identity exploration, indecision, and insecurity associated with emerging adulthood can also be understood as related to how the youth reveal and reshape the life course intersectionally.

Online service in the form of the Powtoon application can be used to develop physics learning media with presentations that have very interesting animation features. The purpose of this research is to produce a learning media product in the form of a compact disk (CD) on the subject of the atomic nucleus in the learning process of class XII high school students. The research method uses Research and Development with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) which is modified only to the development stage. Based on the results of the validation test on the content aspect obtained 90%, the design aspect 83%, the pedagogic aspect 87%, and the ease of use aspect 84%. The results of this research indicate that the learning media using the Powtoon application on the atomic nucleus material is declared valid. Thus the Powtoon application-based learning media is declared feasible to be used as a learning media on atomic nucleus material in class XII SMA.

In this work, throughout the research which was organized in one high school in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it will be shown the influence of exercises on the final result in the e-learning environment at the final test done by students. The research was conducted from the subject informatics in the I, II and III grade. The type of the questions were of multiple choices, addition and accession. The aim was to see how much influence these online exercises have on the final outcome which is demonstrated through the final informatics test done by students and which is done in a classical way in classroom after the finished teaching materials that were planned according to high school rules. In the research, it was taken account of making all preconditions available for easy experiment conducting with regard to technical securing preconditions for students access to blended system of teaching. Concerning the recent experience, it is noticeable that youth like the use of IT and communication devices. In order to secure all necessary conditions, it was conducted the survey among students about having technical preconditions of online access to testing and about students knowledge of work principle in the Claroline LMS platform. The aim was to increase motivation of high school students with regard to the use of online materials, because in high schools of Bosnia and Herzegovina almost nothing is undertaken when it comes to the implementation of new IKT possibilities.
