The study aimed to investigate the impact of implementing an improved program for developing creative thinking skills among student-teachers at the Higher Teachers' Institute (Bashir Al Ibrahimi), Algeria. The quantitative, semi-experimental, one-group approach was used, involving a pre-and post-test. The developed program was applied to a sample of 37 male and female students from science classes. The verbal creative thinking test of Torrance Brown, which was translated to Arabic by Khair Allah, was used after confirming its validity and reliability. The results of the (T) test showed that there were statistically significant differences between the post-test and the pre-test of the creative thinking test. The results also indicated that the effect of the developed program in developing creative thinking skills (originality, fluency and flexibility) according to the Cohen indicator (D) exceeded (0.8), which means that the effect was high, as the volume of the effect was (2.51). The study recommended that teaching creative thinking skills should be included as an independent program for student-teachers in higher institutes.

Indonesian students' creative thinking skill is still at a low level. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of project collaborative model assisted by Google Classroom (PjCM-GC) in improving students' creative thinking skills. This research explored the differences between students who learned through the demonstration model (DM), project collaborative model (PjCM), and project collaborative model assisted by Google Classroom (PjCM-GC). It was a quasi-experimental with pre and post-test design. The population of this research was students at Senior High School, Lombok Timur-Indonesia. Random sampling technique was employed in this study. The sample was 86 science students grade XI (15-16 ages) who studied in SMAN 1 Aikmel. The data analyzed by paired-sample t-test, comparative-descriptive analysis, and ANOVA mixed design using SPSS 24. The study showed that The PjCM-GC group had a significant difference in the level of creative thinking skills (sig .0000). The PjCM-GC was the most effective model to improve the skills with a gain score of .47 (medium). Learning with the PjCM-GC model can be an alternative for policymakers and teachers to solve the problems of creative thinking.

The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using inquiry and brainstorming strategies in teaching Arabic language for developing achievement and creative thinking skills of the university students. To achieve the previous objective, a teaching manual was prepared using inquiry and brainstorming strategies. Achievement test was prepared including 20 items multiple chooses questions related to knowledge, application and reasoning levels. In addition, creative thinking skills test was prepared including 10 items related to Fluency, flexibility and originality skills. The validity and reliability of the instruments were measured. The sample was selected randomly; it consists of two groups, experimental group 43 and a control group 39. The study was based on semi-experimental design pre—post-test, where the experimental group was taught using inquiry and brainstorming strategies, but the control group was taught using the usual strategies. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental and control groups in the post achievement and creative thinking skills in general and their skills separately for the students of the experimental group. Also, the results showed a positive correlation between the scores of the experimental group in post creative thinking skills, and post achievement test in general. The effectiveness of inquiry and brainstorming strategies in the development of achievement levels and creative thinking skills was significant effect. The study recommended using the Inquiry and brainstorming strategies in the teaching Arabic language of university students.

<p class="apa">The main purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of a training program based on the six hats model in developing creative thinking skills and academic achievements in the Arabic language for gifted and talented Jordanian students.</p><p class="apa">The study sample consisted of 59 gifted male and female students of the 7<sup>th</sup> grade from King Abdullah II Elite School at the Directorate of Education in Salt City, Jordan. The sample was carefully chosen from students enrolled in the academic year 2014 and were divided randomly into two groups: an experimental group of 27 male and female students and a controlling group of 32 male and female students.</p><p class="apa">For the purpose of this study, a training program was developed based on the Six Hats Model that tackled chapter 11 and 12 of the Arabic language syllabus of the seventh grade. Both groups had been given Torrance’s B Test for creative thinking that the authors of this research developed for the Arabic Test to the gifted and talented students with the required factors of reliability and consistency. Statistical tools and analysis on obtained data were applied including the analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA).</p><p class="apa">The outcome of this research showed discrepancies of statistical significance (α =&lt; 0.05) among the skills and measurements of the achievement test in favor of the experimental group. In view of the outcomes of this study, the authors strongly recommend that teachers and educators should be rehabilitated and trained to use and apply the latest educational methods and techniques such as: Alcort program, creative solutions of problems and obstacles, critical thinking, brainstorming, and to refrain from the conventional old methods used which commonly focuses on information storage and retaining crammed data, regardless of the active participation of students.</p>

This study investigated the predictive ability of emotional creativity (EC) in creative performance (CP). The sample consisted of 297 male and female students from literary, educational, and administrative specializations. EC was assessed by Averill’s Emotional Creativity Inventory that includes three dimensions: preparedness, novelty, and effectiveness. Mednick’s Remote Associates Test was used to assess CP. Results revealed that the three dimensions of EC predicted CP. Statistically significant differences in EC were found in favor of female students and students from literary and educational specializations, whereas no significant differences were found by cumulative grade. Nevertheless, statistically significant differences in CP by cumulative grade were found in favor of students with high grades. No statistically significant differences in CP by gender and specialization were found. It was recommended based on the results that the three dimensions of EC be integrated in programs seeking to enhance students’ creative thinking skills.

This article investigated the impact of a robotic-based enrichment program on problem finding (PF) and active-openminded thinking skills (AOT) in 60 gifted female students. The participants were randomly selected from several cohorts of gifted students who participated in an enrichment summer program. The study instruments included the Problem Generation test and the AOT scale, which were administered to the participants at the beginning and at the end of the program. The change in the measured program outcomes after attending the robotics intervention program was assessed by regressing post-test scores on pre-test scores. The results revealed differences for the three subscales of AOT as well as the total score in favour of post-test condition. As for PF, fluency scores showed no significant differences between pre-test and post-test, while originality scores were significantly higher for the post-test scores.

Introduction. The universities around the world attach great importance to acquiring self-management skills for students while training at the university. Recent studies have proven that these skills have a major role in the development of human personality and academic competencies. Communication and thinking skills are considered to be one of the most important skills that have become taught and have been included in the curricula in almost all Saudi universities. This process involves both theoretical and practical aspects, aiming to provide the student with the necessary knowledge to deal with the other, to use new technologies, to be able to think positively, and to solve problems.The aim of the present research is to assess the impact of communication and thinking skills formation on the development of self-management skills among male and female students of the preparatory year in Northern Border University (Arar, Saudi Arabia).Methodology and research methods. In the course of the research, the survey method was applied. The survey received responses from 400 students of eight faculties from the Northern Border University (200 male and 200 female students). To draw comparisons between male and female students’ perspectives, the Student’s t-test was used. The research hypotheses were validated, and the obtained data were statistically processed.Results. The survey results indicate that there is a substantial difference in male and female student perspectives regarding the impact of communication and thinking skills. It was found out that male students had a much more positive perspective while considering its impact on self-development, on the development of successful social circles, and the ability to teamwork. On the other hand, according to the female students, the development of communication and thinking skills has a positive impact on problem-solving ability, mental ability, intellectual development, creative thinking, and practical life application or life realism of students.Scientific novelty. The present study confirms the importance of the implication of academic programmes aimed at students’ self-development; as such training programmes allow students to cope with the challenges of the era of technology and remote communication. In addition to training programmes directed to positive thinking in the light of the challenges facing the world such as terrorism, extremist ideology, and racism, this study comes as an important step towards enhancing self-development skills in the field of communication and human reasoning for undergraduate students.Practical significance. The authors formulated the recommendations to reform the system of particular educational services, to improve their quality due to the fastest, synchronous implementation of technological innovations and modern equipment, and to support teachers’ competencies at the proper level. The importance of media education development actualises the creation of academic programmes at universities for the training of qualified teachers in the field of specific education, especially for countries, which do not have the same experience of training, since media education is becoming compulsory in the contemporary world, increasingly affecting the formation of individuals, culture, and society. Several proposals have been made to promote further research in this direction.

This study aimed to identify the level of creative thinking skills among gifted and ordinary students, according to the type of school and academic level variables. The study sample consisted of 60 male and female students who joined the King Abdullah II School for Excellence in the eighth, ninth, and tenth grades, who were chosen purposely. In addition, the study sample consisted of 70 male and female students from public schools in Tafila Governorate, who were chosen randomly. Adapted Torrance Test of Creative Thinking (TTCT) Module “A” (Verbal form) was used to measure their creativity skills. The results of the study indicated that the level of creative thinking skills among all participants was on "average"/medium, but “means” of results were higher in favor of the gifted students in all creative thinking skills (fluency, flexibility, originality). Further, there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α=0.05) as shown in creative thinking skills (fluency, originality) between the ordinary and gifted students, as well as, the total score. While there were statistically significant differences in the skill of flexibility, for the benefit of gifted students. The results also indicated that there were statistically significant differences in creative thinking among gifted students' skills according to the academic level variable whereas, there were significant differences in originality skill of gifted students. They were in favor of the tenth grade students (highest class).

This study aims to determine patterns of cognitive abilities and creative thinking skills between male and female students in SMA Negeri 2 Mranggen. This research is included in non-experimental research. The study population was students of class XI consisting of 9 classes. The sampling technique uses stratified proportional random sampling, using the Slovin formula with a significant level of 10% so that 76 students are obtained from 324 students, 38 students each for male and female. The technique of data collection in this study is in the form of tests of cognitive abilities and creative thinking skills in the form of multiple-choice questions and descriptions of environmental change material. The instrument used was in the form of multiple-choice questions that contained C1-C6 for cognitive abilities and aspects of creative thinking for the problem description. The data collected was then analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis and independent t-test, with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed a t-test of -1.067 and t-table with a significance (α) of 5% of 1.922 for cognitive abilities. Meanwhile, creative thinking skills were obtained that the t-count was -3.088 and the t-table with a significance (α) of 5% was 1.922. The results of both calculations show that H0 fails to be rejected which means there is no real difference between the creative thinking skills of male students and female students.

This research aimed to investigating the effect of teaching science based on the Enrichment model in the development of creative thinking skills among talented students at the intermediate school. The research sample consisted of (32) students of the first year of the academic semester 1435/1436 a rate of 4 servings per week students, the current research has been used a quasi-experimental design ( Pre - Test, Post - Test, Control Group Design). To measure the pre and post-performance for the sample was used Torrence measure to creative thinking skills the formalism picture. then collected the data to measure pre and posttest, were compiled and conducted by statistical analyzes using the (independent-samples T test) to detect the significance of differences between the posteriori averages to research sample students degrees in Torrence measure to creative thinking skills, research reached the following results: There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the average of research sample degrees students in the pre application and averages of her degrees in the post application to Torrence measure of creative thinking and in each individual skill for the benefit of the post application.

The participants were randomly selected from several cohorts of gifted students who participated in an enrichment summer program. The enrichment program lasted for 4 weeks. The study instruments included the Problem Generation (PG) test and the Active-Openminded Thinking (AOT) scale, which were administered to the participants at the beginning of the program and at the end of the program. The change in the measured program outcomes after attending the robotics intervention program was assessed by a regression model, where post-test scores were regressed on pre-test scores. The results revealed differences for the three subscales of AOT: Belief Identification (BI) Flexible Thinking (FT), and Dogmatic Thinking (DT) as well as the total score of the AOT in favour of post-test condition. Moreover, the results indicated that 9th graders benefited more from the enrichment program than 8th graders did. As for PF, fluency scores showed no significant differences between pre-test and post-test, while originality scores were significantly higher for the post-test scores when compared to the pre-test scores.
