This article is the result of a dissertation research which begins with an explanation of the Apostle Paul's Advice on Full Maturity based on the Book of Ephesians 4: 1 - 32 considering that Christian elementary school Christian education teachers in the city of Surakarta are indeed required to have full maturity because based on an initial survey questionnaire distributed to 25 elementary school Christian religious education teachers randomly in 5 sub-districts in Surakarta gave an indication that there are still elementary school Christian Religious Education teachers in Surakarta who have not been able to be role models for their students in showing the maturity of a teacher. The methodology used in this study is a quantitative method using a questionnaire and literature review. The results showed the level of implementation of the Apostle Paul's Advice on Full Maturity based on the Book of Ephesians 4: 1 - 32 in the medium category, the dominant dimension was growing in all things towards Christ (D3), and the dominant background was the length of time he was a teacher (L4).

The northernmost region of North Sulawesi, Minahasa, is one of the most Christian provinces of Eastern Indonesia. About ninety per cent of its total population of approximately one million is Protestant. The upland province capital of Tomohon and the city of Manado – the capital of North Sulawesi – are important centres for Christian education. On Sundays, the sound of bells of the white cathedral-style churches can be heard in almost every Minahasan town. Travellers who venture out to the beach villages on the Sangihe-Talaud islands north of Manado experience the same Protestant features of this part of the eastern archipelago.

This study presents a comparative reading of Christine de Pizan’sThe Book of the City of Ladies and MurasakiShikibu’s The Tale of Genji. Having lived and written in the Middle Ages, both Christine de Pizan and MurasakiShikibu share the privilege of being among the first women writers as well as the first feminists. As their life stories picture them as strong, independent women unusual at that time, their works elaborate on the plight of their sex in a patriarchal and oppressive society, and propose ways to transcend these borders. What is striking in such a reading is that it makes the modern reader see that oppression on women has been existent since at least the Medieval Era, and it has been a case throughout the world. Since neither Pizan nor Shikibuknew the culture and works of the other, their attracting attention to the same issues suggests an interesting reading.

This article is an attempt to get a style of Christian Religious Education in Public Colleges with pluralist insights. Christian Christian Education in Indonesia should be rooted and live in the context of a pluralistic Indonesian society, and must be able to communicate the word of God in accordance with the pluralistic scope of Indonesian-ness. This paper departs from the struggle over the direction of religious education which has become increasingly exclusive or closed in recent times, and that is certainly not what is needed by Indonesia. One effort that can be done is to reinterpret sacred texts which can be the basis of religious education with a pluralist perspective, in this case the text of 1 Timothy 4: 12-16. This text appears in the plural Ephesus community where the church leader named Timothy ministered. Critical interpretation produced the message that Paul wanted Timothy to be able to dialogue the Gospel without having to avoid the differences that were characteristic of the city of Ephesus. Christian teaching must be able to make every student aware that they are part of the diversity.Key Words: Christian Religious Education, General Higher Education, Pluralism, 1 Timothy 4: 12-16

The Court of Appeals of New York held, in Council of the City of New York u. Giuliani, slip op. 02634, 1999 WL 179257 (N.Y. Mar. 30, 1999), that New York City may not privatize a public city hospital without state statutory authorization. The court found invalid a sublease of a municipal hospital operated by a public benefit corporation to a private, for-profit entity. The court reasoned that the controlling statute prescribed the operation of a municipal hospital as a government function that must be fulfilled by the public benefit corporation as long as it exists, and nothing short of legislative action could put an end to the corporation's existence. In 1969, the New York State legislature enacted the Health and Hospitals Corporation Act (HHCA), establishing the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation (HHC) as an attempt to improve the New York City public health system. Thirty years later, on a renewed perception that the public health system was once again lacking, the city administration approved a sublease of Coney Island Hospital from HHC to PHS New York, Inc. (PHS), a private, for-profit entity.
