Background: Bacterial contamination in food can cause congenital diseases in the form of infections. Meatballs are one of the foods that are in demand by the public and foods that can be contaminated with salmonella bacteria. Detection of Salmonella sp bacteria can determine the quality of bulk meatballs and packaged meatballs. Salmonella sp bacteria should not contaminate the meatballs according to the quality requirements of the BSNI (Badan Standarisasi Nasional Indonesia). Purpose: To determine the contamination of Salmonella sp bacteria in bulk meatballs and packaged meatballs sold at Sepanjang market, Taman District, Sidoarjo Regency. Methods: The Salmonella sp. test on meatballs was carried out in four stages, pre-enrichment using Buffered Pepthone Water solution, enrichment using Tetrathionate Brothbase solution, isolation using Salmonella Shigella Agar media, and biochemical testing using Triple Sugar Iron Agar media. The samples used were 10 samples each. Result: The test proved that 20% of the samples were positively contaminated with Salmonella sp. both on bulk meatballs and on packaged meatballs. Conclusion: Food hygiene and sanitation must be applied properly and correctly in every process because food products circulating in public, especially meatball products, can avoid microbial contamination and be safe for consumption.

The public of our country makes ever-increasing demands on milk in terms of safety and nutritional values. In accordance with the requirements of the Interstate Standard GOST 31449-2013 “Raw milk of cow. Specifications” the number of mesophilic aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms should not exceed 1.0×105 CFU/cm3, the number of somatic cells - 4.0×105 in 1 cm3 in milk. The dairy industry places high demands on milk quality, namely, on bacterial contamination. Dairy products of high quality can only be obtained from good raw materials. High bacterial contamination worsens the quality of raw milk and its processed products and creates a certain risk factor for human health. In the Chuvash Republic, studies were carried out on the use of modern domestic iodine-containing preparations and lactic acid-based preparations for the treatment of the udder of cows. At the same time, the sanitary-hygienic condition of the udder’s nipples was improved, the microbiological seeding and the number of somatic cells decreased, and the grade of milk of cows was increased. When treatment the udder of cows before milking by Violet and after milking by Lactovit, the number of mesophilic aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms in milk decreased by 22.9 times, the number of somatic cells - by 2.0 times. When using Monklavit-1, the number of mesophilic aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms decreased by 25.0 and the number of somatic cells decreased 2.5 times. It was found that the efficiency of Monclavit-1 using is higher 1.1 times according to the number of mesophilic aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms and 1.5 times according to the number of somatic cells, than treatment of the udder of cows by Violet and Lactovite. The use of modern udder treatment means allowed to improve milk quality from the second to the highest grade.

Metalworking fluids (MWFs) are used during machining to prolong the life of the tool, carry away debris, and protect the surfaces of work pieces. During their lifetime they are prone to intensive microbial deterioration. Microbial contamination can be a problem, primarily because of potentional adverse effect to the operators health and effect on a fluid quality, performance and economics. Bactericides are added to control the growth of micro-organisms. The paper deals with possible utilization of ozone for sterilization of MWFs to avoid presence of biocides. There were tested 16 MWFs for their reaction to ozone application in extreme conditions (concentration of MWF 1% (v/v), ozone concentration 15 g hour-1, application of ozone 4 hours). After, was realized pilot sanitation of selected in-use MWF for elimination of presence bacterias by applying lower concentration of O3, there were measured few parameters to control the quality of treatment fluid.

1. An examination of eighty-nine samples of uncooked and thirty-eight samples of cooked food purchased by one particular hospital showed that the purchased food was bacteriologically clean.2. A similar examination of 173 samples of food after it was cooked and prepared for serving in the hospital kitchens showed that, with the exception of cold chicken, the bacterial flora was greatly reduced by cooking. Ten of forty-six samples of cold chicken, however, were contaminated with fairly large numbers ofCl. welchii.3. An investigation into the cooking and handling of the fowls indicated that contamination of the cooked fowls with kitchen dust was a probable explanation for the presence ofCl. welchii.4. Immediate refrigeration of the fowls, well separated on shallow trays, was shown to be a satisfactory method of preventing the growth of contaminatingCl. welchiito any dangerous extent.5. The quality of drinks is one of the problems that exist in society, especially because of bacterial contamination of drinks that often occurs in developing countries. One of them is soy milk drinks that are contaminated by bacteria including those sold by street vendors in the Pogot area of Surabaya. Based on the background description in this study can be formulated as follows: Is the number of Most Probable Number (MPN) Coliform in soy milk sold by street vendors in the Pogot area of Surabaya fulfill the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 7388: 2009? The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of Coliform in soy milk sold by street vendors in the Pogot area of Surabaya compared to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 7388: 2009 regarding the maximum limit of microbial contamination in food. This study used a descriptive study design that soy milk sold by street vendors in the Pogot area of Surabaya was the population. Samples were used as many as 16 samples from 4 street vendors, each of which was taken 4 then laboratory-tested and analyzed using percentages. Based on the requirements of the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 7388: 2009, the limit of contamination of the Most Probable Number (MPN) Coliform in soy milk is 20 / ml. Based on the results of the research of 4 soy milk traders there were 2 traders whose the results fulfilled the requirements of the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and 2 traders whose the results didn't  fulfill the requirements of the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). So 50% were eligible (MS) and 50% were not eligible (TMS).

Abstract. Comments sections under news articles have become popular spaces for audience members to oppose the mainstream media’s perspective on political issues by expressing alternative views. This kind of challenge to mainstream discourses is a necessary element of proper deliberation. However, due to heuristic information processing and the public concern about disinformation online, readers of comments sections may be inherently skeptical about user comments that counter the views of mainstream media. Consequently, commenters with alternative views may participate in discussions from a position of disadvantage because their contributions are scrutinized particularly critically. Nevertheless, this effect has hitherto not been empirically established. To address this gap, a multifactorial, between-subjects experimental study ( N = 166) was conducted that investigated how participants assess the credibility and argument quality of media-dissonant user comments relative to media-congruent user comments. The findings revealed that media-dissonant user comments are, indeed, disadvantaged in online discussions, as they are assessed as less credible and more poorly argued than media-congruent user comments. Moreover, the findings showed that the higher the participants’ level of media trust, the worse the assessment of media-dissonant user comments relative to media-congruent user comments. Normative implications and avenues for future research are discussed.

Using different cross-country data sets and simple econometric techniques we study public attitudes towards the police. More positive attitudes are more likely to emerge in the countries that have better functioning democratic institutions, less prone to corruption but enjoy more transparent and accountable police activity. This has a stronger impact on the public opinion (trust and attitudes) than objective crime rates or density of policemen. Citizens tend to trust more in those (policemen) with whom they share common values and can have some control over. The latter is a function of democracy. In authoritarian countries — “police states” — this tendency may not work directly. When we move from semi-authoritarian countries to openly authoritarian ones the trust in the police measured by surveys can also rise. As a result, the trust appears to be U-shaped along the quality of government axis. This phenomenon can be explained with two simple facts. First, publicly spread information concerning police activity in authoritarian countries is strongly controlled; second, the police itself is better controlled by authoritarian regimes which are afraid of dangerous (for them) erosion of this institution.

The tight competition between schools in the era of globalization today, requires that the school Ivory Serpong Sower SDK to do the marketing strategy as attractive as possible, in order to enhance the new prospective learner interests as well as improve the quality of and professionalism in the management of the school. It is a promotional effort is used to market products or services to the public, so that they are more familiar with or know the product or service being marketed. Current media information and promotions that use the SDK Sower Ivory Serpong still be printed in the form of banners, brochures and more, so there are still many who have not yet learned about SDK Sower Gading Serpong. The purpose of this research is to inform and promote school SDK Sower Ivory Serpong. Based on a needs analysis is required of media promotion in the form of a video profile, to support information and promotion more attractive and effective by using the software Adobe Premier and Adobe Photoshop. Research methods used namely collecting data through observation, interviews and literature studies, Media Production and concept i.e. preproduction, production and postproduction. Through the design of Video media Profile of this SDK Sower Ivory Serpong can better known to many people and attracting parents to enroll his son in schools � SDK Sower Ivory Serpong
