This study aimed to describe and analyze the role of social capital, as seen from the interrelation of networks, norms, and beliefs in improving the welfare of the community under the indicators of Maqashid Syariah. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. Besides, this study has an analysis unit in the form of social capital and improvement of the welfare of the community who received scholarship assistance from Baitul Maal Hidayatullah of Surabaya. Also, data collection was carried out by interview and direct observation of the research object. The analysis technique utilized in this study was an explanatory analysis technique by explaining the results of interviews and direct observation. The study results reveal that social capital with norms, networks, and trust indicators play a role in improving the welfare of the community seen from the aspects of Maqashid Syariah.Keywords: Social capital, Welfare, and Maqashid Syariah

This study aims to determine the application of sharia principles contained in the investment of livestock conducted by PT Ijadgrup Rahmat Semesta in his company called Ijadfarm. The approach used is qualitative approach with case study strategy. Data collection is done by interviewing with related parties. Analytical technique that is done is source triangulation technique, pattern matching technique and descriptive qualitative analysis technique. This research aims to know and analyze the moral values of the functional strategy in the Wong Solo restaurant of Gresik branch. The aspects of the moral values consist of responsibility, globalization, truth, good working and good services. The success standard of the moral values of the functional strategy can be seen from the achievement of the employment in doing the aspects above. The research is a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. Data collection is done by using interview and observation to the object of the research. An used analysis technique is descriptive-qualitative by narrating the result of the interview and observation to the object of research. The result of this research of Restaurant Wong Solo of Gresik Branch in developing the business has been able to do some moral values well. It can be seen from the responsibility of the employments. The success by doing the moral values can also be seen by good aspect. The company gives some facilities to the employments such as: financial, and healthy. In doing operational strategy, thecompany has operational standardization in the production process. All employments perform that standardization of the rule that is stated by the company.

This study aims to identify and explain the impact of waste management in Jemursari Islamic Hospital of Surabaya to externalities in terms of economic resources and the environment in the Islamic perspective. This study used a qualitative approach with case study strategy. The data collection was conducted using interviews and direct observation to the object of research.The results showed a positive impact on the management of waste Islamic Hospital Jemursari Surabaya to eskternalitas shown not to appear strong odors from waste management and the environment in hospital becomes cleaner. The results of the analysis of benefits and costs calculation in 2010 to 2015 shows the NPV> 0 and BCR> 1%, means that the value of the benefit is greater than the costs incurred, and waste management projects feasible.

The background of this study is the existence of a business in Q-Mas M which was established by the KH. Mas Mansur Orphanage. This phenomenon encourages researchers to raise research that discusses the contribution of Q-Mas M to the KH. Mas Mansyur in improving the welfare of orphans. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. Data collection is done through interview techniques with relevant parties and related documents. The validity test of the data carried out in this study is the source triangulation technique. The data analysis technique used in this study is explanatory manufacturing techniques. The results of this study indicate that the business contribution of Q-Mas M in improving the welfare of orphans has not been fully successful. From the five basic needs that must be fulfilled by orphans, only two that succeed, there are the fulfillment of food and residence needs for orphans.Keywords: contribution, Q-Mas M, welfare, orphanage KH. This research aims to know how application of Islamic Consumption Behavior Fahim Khan’s Perspektive on Recipients Satu Keluarga Satu Sarjana Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (SKSS BAZNAS) Scholarship in East Java. This method that used is qualitative approach with s case study strategy. Data was collected by interview dan direct observation of the object research. The analysis technique that used is descriptive qualitative analysis that is narrating the result of interview dan direct observation. Based on the result of this study concluded all recipient of Satu Keluarga Satu Sarjana Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (SKSS BAZNAS) scholarship in East Java have been applied Fahim Khan’s perspective of Islamic consumption behavior. This study aims to describe Sufistic-based Kiai leadership's role in shaping Santri character at the Pesantren Nurul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo. This research is a case study qualitative approach, with Kiai as the subject. We collected data using interview, documentation, and observation techniques, then analyzed using reduction techniques, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the Sufistic-based Kiai's leadership had an essential role in fostering the character of the Santri. The study results indicate that the Sufistic-based Kiai leadership has a vital role in promoting the surface of the Santri. Kiai is a person who gives influence in building character with Uswah (Modelling). This study also found that the factors that influence low morale are that Santri has a common understanding of the latest technological developments. In Sufistic-based leadership, there are four things that a leader must possess: 1) The Tawasuth, 2) The nature of I'tidal, 3) The Tawazun, and 4) The Tasamuh.

This research aims to test the role of zakat to reduce poverty in the East Java period 2015-2017 by using the index that was recently developed, Basic Needs Deficiency Index. The research method used is qualitative approach with case study strategy. This research formulated BNDI index to measure the deficiency and effectiveness of zakat in resolving poverty. Data required is the total population that its income was below the poverty line in every city of East Java, and also total zakat, which was distributed by BAZNAS East Java in every city of East Java. The results obtained from the BNDI calculation have been able to explain the effectiveness of zakat for reducing poverty and inequality in East Java. The result of calculation, which was a high value or approaching value 1, explains that zakat that was distributed by BAZNAS East Java is not effective in reducing poverty in East Java. Furthermore, the result of this research shows that some cities had the highest BNDI and lowest BNDI as well. Hopefully, this result could be considered to use by the policymaker to improve the effectiveness of zakat in reducing poverty.Keywords: Zakat, Poverty, Basic Needs Deficiency Index (BNDI)

The impact of the modernization era on elementary and Kindergaten children can be seen from the intensity of children playing with gadgets, and the low level of literacy in children. This is the background for the presence of the Oemah Dolan organization. This study aims to identify and describe Oemah Dolan's programs and the role of Oemah Dolan in increasing reading interest in children in Kedongdong Village. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach with the analysis technique of Miles and Huberman. The results of this study indicate that Oemah Dolan has several programs, namely: book stalls, reading, fun learning, and creativity week.

The purpose of this study was to determine youth participation in the Karang Taruna Desa program in terms of program management aspects and to find out the inhibiting and supporting factors of youth participation in the Karang Taruna village program. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, data collection techniques carried out by interview, observation, and documentation. The validity of the data used is data triangulation, namely source triangulation. The data analysis technique is qualitative descriptive with the following stages: data collection, data reduction, presentation and conclusion drawing. The results obtained in this study (1) youth participation in the Karang Taruna village program viewed aspects of program management using four stages of participation, namely participation in planning; participation in implementation and participation in utilization; (2) factors that hamper youth participation in the Youth Organization program are limited time from individuals and lack of confidence to channel their potential. While the supporting factors are that individuals have high social awareness or spirit to build community through the Youth Organization program.

BMT Maslahah Sub-Branch Olean in Situbondo still faces several problems and risks in providing financing to customers, because the customer intentionally does not return the financing he has obtained, even though he was able to repay the loan. This study focuses on how the applications of risk management in the financing, the causes and the solutions in BMT Maslahah Sub-Branch Olean of Situbondo. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. Data collection is done by connecting questions with data obtained from conclusions from the interview of several persons in BMT Maslahah Sub-Branch Olean in Situbondo. The results of the study indicate that the risk of loss is the high number of problematic financing, starting from the difficulties and even payment defaults from customers caused by the loss of the ability of customers to pay installments and profit sharing to them. The effort carried out by them in saving the problematic financing is by rescheduling, reconditioning, and restructuring. They also cooperate with insurance companies to cover the losses.
