Indonesia's state-owned enterprises are now on the verge of adopting a new management system called values-based management (VBM) or management by values (MBV) initiated by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SoE) by introducing a set of core values, namely AKHLAK (abbreviation from Bahasa Indonesia's words: Amanah / Trustworthy, Kompeten / Competent, Harmonis / Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptif / Adaptive, and Kolaboratif / Collaborative). This study uses an inductive/qualitative approach to understand how these core values are measured. The implication of this study will help SoEs to decide whether to use indirect or direct measurement methods in their effort to translate core values into values-based management. The initial finding shows the sample SoEs do not have a solid understanding of the differences between direct and indirect values assessments yet utilize the method of choice quite exclusively and extensively.

Summary Objectives: In our department, we have been using an Anesthesia Information Management System (AIMS) for five years. In this study, we tested to what extent data extracted from the AIMS could be suitable for the supervision and time-management of operating rooms. Methods: From 1995 to 1999, all relevant data from 103,264 anesthetic procedures were routinely recorded online with the automatic anesthesia record keeping system NarkoData. The program is designed to record patient related time data, such as the beginning of anesthesia or surgical procedure, on a graphical anesthesia record sheet. The total number of minutes of surgery and anesthesia for each surgical subspecialty per hour/day and day of the year was calculated for each of the more than 40 ORs, amounting to a total of 112 workstations. Results: It was possible to analyze the usage and the utilization of ORs at the hospital for each day of the year since 1997. In addition, annual and monthly evaluations are made available. It is possible to scrutinize data of OR usage from different points of view: queries on the usage of an individual OR, the usage of ORs on certain days or the usage of ORs by a certain surgical subspecialty may be formulated. These data has been used repeatedly in our hospital for decision making in OR management and planning. Conclusions: In assessing the results of our study, it should be considered that the system used is not a specialized OR management tool. Despite these restrictions, the system contains data which can be used for an exact and relevant presentation of OR utilization

Pore pressure is a critical parameter in designing drilling operations. Inaccurate pore pressure data can cause problems, even incidents in drilling operations. Pore pressure data can be obtained from direct measurement methods or estimated using indirect measurement methods such as empirical models. In the oil and gas industry, most of the time, direct measurement is only taken in certain depth due to relatively high costs. Hence, empirical models are commonly used to fill in the gap. However, most of the empirical models highly depend on specific basins or types of formation. Furthermore, to predict pore pressure using empirical models accurately requires a good understanding in determining Normal Compaction Trendline. This proposed approach aims to find a more straightforward yet accurate method to predict pore pressure. Using Artificial Neural Network Model as an alternative method for pore pressure prediction based on logging data such as gamma-ray, density, and sonic log, the result shows a promising accuracy.

Numerous difficulties and problems are associated with learning in a project. To tackle these problems, in this paper, an integrated project management model is constructed for facilitating knowledge learning. First, the depth of a professional or management skill is defined and evaluated using the analytic hierarchical procedure. A project cannot start until the depth of every necessary skill reaches a certain level. There is also stepwise increase in the scores of successive projects. A systematic procedure composed of fifteen steps is then embedded in the system to facilitate project learning. The proposed methodology is applied to the development of an e-commerce application system.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to recommend a framework for remodelling a public sector knowledge management system (KMS) using key knowledge management (KM) processes. The rationale is to provide insight and guidelines to organisations that struggle with KM. Design/methodology/approach This desktop study adopted the qualitative approach and literature to support the understanding regarding the remodelling of the public sector KMS using key KM processes. Findings The study found that if KM processes are not considered, the prospect of KM is limited. The best way to manage public sector knowledge is following KM processes using information technology. Without proper KM, organisations may not know how knowledge is generated, codified, stored, shared and used in an organisation. Originality/value The paper provides a framework to guide public sector organisations in the implementation of electronic KM. Thus, proposing a new way of managing knowledge by using the electronic KM processes in the public sector organisations. The study will also benefit other organisations implementing KM programmes.

This chapter analyzes aspects of a digital strategy aimed at developing a sustainable civilization. The chapter begins by examining the arrangement and configuration of a green state. Specifically, core values and critical subsystems of this configuration are considered. Next, the chapter suggests a digital format for computerizing a wise civilization. The chapter then presents sustainable society indices for Norway, the US, Russia, China, and India. After this, the Geoinformatic Management System (GMS) of 8D Civilization is introduced. It is followed by a discussion of some of the existential dangers that face civilization. The chapter concludes by discussing the GMS 8D Civilization architecture for the world, continents, countries, and enterprises.

This study aims to examine resilience to the diffusion factor of innovation in Islamic education services (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah) on zoning policies that have a major impact on school sustainability in making strategies as educational institutions that are trusted by the community. This study uses a critical theory paradigm of a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research reports are responding to his resilience with a positive attitude with a luck risk, focus on core values, flexible, trying to achieve goals, dare to take concrete steps, create self-conditions and environments that support high expectations and expectations of teachers, students, people parents, as well as developing participatory attitudes and responsibilities.
