This research proposed an approach that is intended to determine the minimal set of important factors that influence the desire of learning Korean language in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Those factors will then influence marketing of the Korean language in GCC by guiding interested people to increase their commercial abilities, improve their information about Korean drama, and prepare them to study or travel to Korea. A total of 500 responses out of 526 questionnaires were used for the analysis process. Merging the weight by SVM and the weight guided feature selection (WGFS) techniques were proposed to build a strong hybrid model of reduction for the investigated dataset. Five different classifiers were used to test the results. Empirical results have showed that the generated factors (the reduct) are very significant to test the ability/inability of learning the Korean language. SVM was shown as the best with accuracy value of 94%. This research contributed to the literature by highlighting the importance of the Korean language in the GCC and by presenting the important factors that influence learners of the Korean language: encouragements and obstacles. Moreover, current research presented the best classifier which yields to the high performance of classification.

Background: Software Product Line is the group of multiple software systems which share the similar set of features with multiple variants. Feature model is used to capture and organize features used in different multiple organization. Objective: The objective of this research article is to obtain an optimized subset of features which are capable of providing high performance. Methods: In order to achieve the desired objective, two methods have been proposed. a) An improved objective function which is used to compute the contribution of each feature with weight based methodology. b) A hybrid model is employed to optimize the Software Product Line problem. Results: Feature sets varying in size from 100 to 1000 have been used to compute the performance of the Software Product Line. Conclusion: The results shows that proposed hybrid model outperforms the state of art metaheuristic algorithms.

Abstract Variable obsen>ations concerning frost resistance of high performance concrete have been made. The question arises which are the decisive factors influencing durability under the action of frost and de-icing salt. The proposed experiments are to be carried out in cooperation with F.A.- Finger - Institute of Bauhaus University Weimar. The aim of this study is to determine possible change of durability of high strength concrete, and to investigate the origin thereof. Measures to reduce the risk of reduced durability have to be found.

Abstract Background Electronic health (e-health) approaches such as telemedicine, mobile health, virtual healthcare and electronic health records are considered to be effective in increasing access to healthcare services, reducing operational costs and improving the quality of healthcare services during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak, a pandemic resulting from the spread of a novel coronavirus discovered in December 2019. In this context, the aim of this study was to identify the most important factors influencing decision making on the implementation of e-health in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates), which are in the process of digitizing healthcare services. Methods This study reviewed the literature to identify the important factors influencing decision making on e-health. In addition, a questionnaire-based survey was conducted in order to identify the most important criteria to be considered in decision making on e-health. The survey link was forwarded to 978 healthcare practitioners and 42 experts (purposive sampling), from which a final sample of 892 (864 practitioners and 28 experts) was achieved, reflecting a response rate of 87.45%. Results Of the 44 factors identified under seven themes (strategic, quality, management, technology, function characteristics, economic, sociocultural and demographic factors), 22 factors were identified to be the most important criteria. Conclusions Findings from this study suggest that decision making in relation to e-health is a complex process that requires consideration of various factors. It was also found that attention should be paid to sociocultural and demographic factors, which may need to be considered in increasing healthcare access during the COVID-19 outbreak.

In this study, we investigate the causal relationships between international tourism growth and regional economic expansion in China, and more importantly, disclose the factors determining the occurrence of these relationships. The empirical results reveal that 10 of 29 regions experienced tourism-led growth (TLG) during 1978 to 2013, whereas nine regions experienced economy-driven tourism growth (EDTG). Different from the past literature, this study uses Bayesian probit models to unveil the factors influencing these different growth patterns. Our results suggest that regions with less-developed economies, larger economic sizes, and covering larger geographic areas are more likely to experience TLG, and regions with less-developed economies are more likely to experience EDTG as well. Lastly, practical implications are provided.

In this paper we introduce SNF, a framework that synthesizes (S) network function (NF) service chains by eliminating redundant I/O and repeated elements, while consolidating stateful cross layer packet operations across the chain. SNF uses graph composition and set theory to determine traffic classes handled by a service chain composed of multiple elements. It then synthesizes each traffic class using a minimal set of new elements that apply single-read-single-write and early-discard operations. Our SNF prototype takes a baseline state-of-the-art network functions virtualization (NFV) framework to the level of performance required for practical NFV service deployments. Software-based SNF realizes long (up to 10 NFs) and stateful service chains that achieve line-rate 40 Gbps throughput (up to 8.5x greater than the baseline NFV framework). Hardware-assisted SNF, using a commodity OpenFlow switch, shows that our approach scales at 40 Gbps for Internet Service Provider-level NFV deployments.

Purpose Over these recent years, increasing studies have found a higher propensity of firms founded by entrepreneurial teams (ETs) for continuous operation and high performance, compared to firms single-handedly created by an entrepreneur. In spite of the emerging significance of ETs, the number of related studies remains inadequately low, particularly within the context of franchise firms. Therefore, this study aims to explore the factors that influence the ETs’ performance in the Malaysian education and childcare franchise system using a qualitative approach. Design/methodology/approach Qualitative Research Strategy has been adopted and 27 ET leaders participated in this study to get the holistic view of factors influencing the entrepreneurial team (ET) performance in education and childcare franchise in Malaysia. Findings The results highlight the factors (team leadership, team training, team diversity, team processes, team confidence and team mental models) influencing the entrepreneurial team (ET) performance in education and childcare franchise in Malaysia. Originality/value The present study may help to provide useful information to policy makers, which enable them to formulate the strategies franchise ETs performance in Malaysia. As this study provides insight of factors that have an impact on ET performance. A best practice model for education and childcare franchise ETs’ performance is designed.

Prior radiomics studies have focused on two-class brain tumor classification, which limits generalizability. The performance of radiomics in differentiating the three most common malignant brain tumors (glioblastoma (GBM), primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL), and metastatic disease) is assessed; factors affecting the model performance and usefulness of a single sequence versus multiparametric MRI (MP-MRI) remain largely unaddressed. This retrospective study included 253 patients (120 metastatic (lung and brain), 40 PCNSL, and 93 GBM). Radiomic features were extracted for whole a tumor mask (enhancing plus necrotic) and an edema mask (first pipeline), as well as for separate enhancing and necrotic and edema masks (second pipeline). Model performance was evaluated using MP-MRI, individual sequences, and the T1 contrast enhanced (T1-CE) sequence without the edema mask across 45 model/feature selection combinations. The second pipeline showed significantly high performance across all combinations (Brier score: 0.311–0.325). GBRM fit using the full feature set from the T1-CE sequence was the best model. The majority of the top models were built using a full feature set and inbuilt feature selection. No significant difference was seen between the top-performing models for MP-MRI (AUC 0.910) and T1-CE sequence with (AUC 0.908) and without edema masks (AUC 0.894). T1-CE is the single best sequence with comparable performance to that of multiparametric MRI (MP-MRI). Model performance varies based on tumor subregion and the combination of model/feature selection methods.

As a developing country, e-government services in Pakistan have witnessed prolific advancements over the years. Since 2002, Pakistan has strategically adopted e-government as a part of its policy. In this chapter, the factors influencing citizens' e-government service adoption in Pakistan are examined using the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology model. The findings indicate that, in addition to the lack of awareness and data privacy, all of the factors specified by the model have an effect on the adoption of these services in Pakistan. The empirical results highlight the voice of citizens concerning the usage of the services. This information can be used by the policy and decision makers to promote services that correspond better to the needs of the citizens.
