The central aspect of research is the assessment of the recessionary trends impact on tourism industry and the analysis of antirecessionary policy in the field of regulation small and medium enterprises.

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have been noted to play a significant role in promoting economic growth in less developed countries, developing and also in developed countries. Worldwide, the micro and small enterprises have been accepted as the engine of economic growth of any nation. Small and Medium Enterprises are the backbone of the economies, because it trigger employment, output, export, poverty alleviation, economic empowerment, economic development etc. in developed as well as in developing countries. It is more important to developing countries as the poverty and unemployment are burning problems. MSMEs have been playing a momentous role in overall economic development of a country like India where millions of people are unemployed or underemployed. Therefore, the growth of small sectors is essential for the growth in the GDP, employment generation, total manufacturing production and export. India, being one of the fastest growing economies of the world, needs to pay an honest attention for the utmost growth of MSMEs for its increased contribution in above areas.

Recently, The Tourism Minister has challenged the Malaysia-Singapore Coffee Shop Proprietors General Association to publish a booklet with a list of 100 best kopitiams in Malaysia to promote the nation’s unique coffee shop trade to the world. Local coffee shops (kopitiams) are the intangible cultural heritage that are successful in guarding their traditional recipe, thus an adequate review on local coffee shops is significant as they can use this opportunity to benefit from the country’s expanding tourism industry. In essence, this paper provides an overview of the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) family-run local coffee shop businesses. An attempt was made to identify the challenges of local coffee shops (kopitiams) from literature review. These challenges include lack of interest from the new generation to take over those businesses, fierce competition in food industry, and change of consumer demand. Furthermore, this paper also helps to understand the determinants of local coffee shop survival.

This study aims to broaden the understanding of the importance of SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) for the economy of Kosovo, especially in terms of economic development, labor market and innovation. The study was conducted through analysis of documentary sources such as relevant reports of national and international institutions as well as relevant scientific papers. The scientific contribution of this study is theoretical and aims to help researchers of the field for an expanded understanding of SMEs over national economies. This study provides a concise framework of important elements on the economic impact of SMEs on Kosovo's economy. Examination of available data has shown that the SME sector plays a crucial role for the Kosovo economy. The key role of SMEs was emphasized in terms of overall value generated and the labor market while innovation remains a challenge to be addressed by stakeholders

Data analysis method used in research is path analysis. Simultaneously, the research results of MSME Development and Competitive Advantage have a positive and significant effect on creative economy. Partially, the Influence of MSME Development has positive and significant influence to creative economy. Partially Competitive advantage positively and significantly influences the creative economy. The development of small and medium enterprises (SME) plays an important role in the comprehensive modernization of the economy of single-industry towns, acting as a factor of its growth and diversification. The analysis of the dynamics of the development of SME of non-diversified municipal formations and directions of its state support was made, suggestions on the monitoring organization of statistical factors of SME in single-industry towns and on the development of comprehensive investment plans on modernization of single-industry towns were made in a part of the development and support of small and medium businesses in single-industry towns.

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have an important and strategic role in national economic development. In addition to playing a role in economic growth and employment, MSMEs also play a role in distributing development resultsThe purpose of this research is to find out how the efforts to improve the welfare of MSMEs actors in Lawang sub-district through Mudharabah financing at Bank Syari'ah Mandiri KCP Lawang. The method used in this research is the qualitative method. The data collection technique is by observing, interviewing and documenting the stakeholders fram Bank Syariah Mandiri KCP Lawang, as well as MSMEs actors who receive mudharabah financing from BSM KCP Lawang.The results of this study indicate that mudharabah financing at Bank Syariah Mandiri KCP Lawang has a fairly central contribution in improving the welfare of micro and small business actors which is characterized by the presence of new business actors each year. This is a benchmark for the success of mudharabah financing products in the community and as a benchmark for the success of a banking product in increasing the productivity of financing products.

This article aims to deepen our knowledge of Japan’s foreign policy in the Southeast Asian region and its role in Indonesia’s economic development, focusing on their economic cooperation via the Indonesia–Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (IJEPA) and Manufacturing Industry Development Centre (MIDEC) programme. The former has promoted cooperation via a tariff reduction scheme, while the latter facilitates the Indonesian government’s aid to micro, small and medium enterprises in the entrepreneurial sector.

This chapter analyzes the role of local area resources in the global hospitality market as a way for small and medium enterprises to create a portfolio of distinctive resources to reach a sustainable competitive advantage position in the international markets. After a brief introduction on the tourism industry and its main change factors the chapter adopts a resource base and market-driven approach in order to identify resources role in shaping competitive advantages. The chapter discuss a case-study on a successful example of diffused hotel in Abruzzo, Italy, identifying the core resources and those needed to support them in creating a successful tourism product.
