In practice, the assumptions of normality are often not met, this causes the estimation of the resulting parameters to be less efficient. Problems with the assumption that normality is not met can be overcome by resampling. The use of resampling allows data to be applied free from distribution assumptions. In this study, a simulation study was carried out by applying bootstrap resampling and jackknife resampling (delete-5) on path analysis assuming that the normality of the alignment was not met and the resampling amount set at 1000 with the degree of closeness between variables consisting of low closeness, medium closeness, high closeness and closeness level representing the level low to high closeness. Based on the simulation results, the resampling 1000 magnitude is able to overcome the problem of the assumptions of unmet normality. In addition, a comparison between bootstrap and jackknife resampling for conditions of side normality assumptions is not fulfilled and the closeness of the relationship between low, medium, high and closeness variables representing low to high closeness levels, the estimation results of path analysis parameters obtained by resampling jackknife are more efficient than resampling bootstrap.

The working principle of concrete pumping hydraulic system was analyzed. And base on the AMESim software, the complete simulation model of concrete pumping hydraulic system was built. A simulation was made to get the dynamic characteristics curve of hydraulic cylinder velocity and displacement at some specific conditions. The simulation results indicate that the model is reasonable. Comparative simulations of the pumping hydraulic system with different positions of buffer structure were carried out to study the relationship between buffer effect and the buffer position which can be used to provide theory basis for deeper study of the hydraulic shock.

Attribute structure is an explicit way of presenting the relationship between attributes in diagnostic measurement. The specification of attribute structures directly affects the classification accuracy resulted from psychometric modeling. This study provides a conceptual framework for understanding misspecifications of attribute structures. Under the framework, each attribute structure can be represented through an external shape and an internal organization. A simulation study and an application example were used to investigate how misspecification of external shapes and internal organizations affects model fit and item fit assessments, and respondent classification. The proposed framework and simulation results aim to support using attribute structures to (a) develop better diagnostic assessments and (b) inform theories of constructs.

(1) Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine suicidal risk factors, the relationship and the underlying mechanism between social variables and suicidal behavior. We hope to provide empirical support for the future suicide prevention of social media users at the social level. (2) Methods: The path analysis model with psychache as the mediate variable was constructed to analyze the relationship between suicidal behavior and selected social macro variables. The data for our research was taken from the Chinese Suicide Dictionary, Moral Foundation Dictionary, Cultural Value Dictionary and National Bureau of Statistics. (3) Results: The path analysis model was an adequate representation of the data. With the mediator psychache, higher authority vice, individualism, and disposable income of residents significantly predicted less suicidal behavior. Purity vice, collectivism, and proportion of the primary industry had positive significant effect on suicidal behavior via the mediator psychache. The coefficients of harm vice, fairness vice, ingroup vice, public transport and car for every 10,000 people, urban population density, gross domestic product (GDP), urban registered unemployment rate, and crude divorce rate were not significant. Furthermore, we applied the model to three major economic development belts in China. The model’s result meant different economic zones had no influence on the model designed in our study. (4) Conclusions: Our evidence informs population-based suicide prevention policymakers that incorporating some social factors like authority vice, individualism, etc. can help prevent suicidal ideation in China.

Abstract Background The COVID-19 pandemic brings unprecedented uncertainty and stress. This study aimed to characterize general sleep status among Chinese residents during the early stage of the outbreak and to explore the network relationship among COVID-19 uncertainty, intolerance of uncertainty, perceived stress, and sleep status. Methods A cross-sectional correlational survey was conducted online. A total of 2534 Chinese residents were surveyed from 30 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions of China and regions abroad during the period from February 7 to 14, 2020, the third week of lockdown. Final valid data from 2215 participants were analyzed. Self-report measures assessed uncertainty about COVID-19, intolerance of uncertainty, perceived stress, and general sleep status. Serial mediation analysis using the bootstrapping method and path analysis were applied to test the mediation role of intolerance of uncertainty and perceived stress in the relationship between uncertainty about COVID-19 and sleep status. Results The total score of sleep status was 4.82 (SD = 2.72). Age, place of residence, ethnicity, marital status, infection, and quarantine status were all significantly associated with general sleep status. Approximately half of participants (47.1%) reported going to bed after 12:00 am, 23.0% took 30 min or longer to fall asleep, and 30.3% slept a total of 7 h or less. Higher uncertainty about COVID-19 was significantly positively correlated with higher intolerance of uncertainty (r = 0.506, p < 0.001). The mediation analysis found a mediating role of perceived stress in the relationship between COVID-19 uncertainty and general sleep status (β = 0.015, 95%C.I. = 0.009–0.021). However, IU was not a significant mediator of the relationship between COVID-19 uncertainty and sleep (β = 0.009, 95%C.I. = − 0.002–0.020). Moreover, results from the path analysis further showed uncertainty about COVID-19 had a weak direct effect on poor sleep (β = 0.043, p < 0.05); however, there was a robust indirect effect on poor sleep through intolerance of uncertainty and perceived stress. Conclusions These findings suggest that intolerance of uncertainty and perceived stress are critical factors in the relationship between COVID-19 uncertainty and sleep outcomes. Results are discussed in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, and practical policy implications are also provided.

An embedded SiGe layer was applied in the source/drain areas (S/D) of a field-effect transistor to boost the performance in the p channels. Raised SiGe S/D plays a critical role in strain engineering. In this study, the relationship between the SiGe overfilling and the enhancement of channel stress was investigated. Systematic technology computer aided design (TCAD) simulations of the SiGe overfill height in a 40 nm PMOS were performed. The simulation results indicate that a moderate SiGe overfilling induces the highest stress in the channel. Corresponding epitaxial growth experiments were done and the obtained experimental data was in good agreement with the simulation results. The effect of the SiGe overfilling is briefly discussed. The results and conclusions presented within this paper might serve as useful references for the optimization of the embedded SiGe stressor for 40 nm logic technology node and beyond.

In order to improve the angle measurement performance of a coprime linear array, this paper proposes a novel direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation algorithm for a coprime linear array based on the multiple invariance estimation of signal parameters via rotational invariance techniques (MI-ESPRIT) and a lookup table method. The proposed algorithm does not require a spatial spectrum search and uses a lookup table to solve ambiguity, which reduces the computational complexity. To fully use the subarray elements, the DOA estimation precision is higher compared with existing algorithms. Moreover, the algorithm avoids the matching error when multiple signals exist by using the relationship between the signal subspace of two subarrays. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
