<p>The purpose of the research was to determine effect of Discovery Learning on student’s logical thinking skills of grade X MIA SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta academic year 2013/2014. The study was a quasi experimental research with a Posttest Only Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population was all students of class X MIA SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta in the school year 2013/2014. The sampling technique was cluster sampling. Data collection techniques using tests and non-test methods. Independent sample t-test was used to test hypothesis. The result of hypothesis testing has a significance of 0.048. The average value of logical thinking test on control class was 4.41 and the experimental class was 5.19. The conclusion was Discovery Learning significant effect on student’s logical thinking skills of grade X MIA SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta academic year 2013/2014.</p><p align="center"> </p><p class="0jTULISANKATAKUNCIKEYWORDS">Key Words: Discovery Learning, logical thinking skills, conventional learning</p>

<p>The purpose of this research are to determine the differences result in Sciences Process Skills (SPS) with using Problem Based Learning and guided inquiry of X grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali  in 2013/2014 academic year. This research was quasi experiment research which used Posttest Only With Nonequivalent Control Group design by using the experimental 1 class (application of Problem Based Learning) and experimental 2 class (application of guided inquiry). The population studies are all X class students of SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali in academic year 2013/2014. Sampling technique is using cluster sampling, the classroom that is chosen are X.1 as the experiment 1 class and X.3 as the experimental 2 class. The techique of collecting data is using essay test for measuring of SPS classifying, using tool and material, hypothesizing, formulate ways of working, predicting and communicating. Non-test technique is using methods of documentation and observation methods for measuring of SPS using the tool and material, observing and experimenting. The data were analyzed by t-test assisted SPSS 16. The result of this research concluded that there are differences results between Problem Based Learning and guided inquiry toward student’s sciences process skills of X grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali.</p><p align="center"> </p><p>Key Words: Problem Based Learning, Guided Inquiry, Science Process Skills</p>

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan pengukuran antara anak yang diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan metode proyek dengan anak yang diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan metode ceramah pada anak kelompok B Gugus Cempaka Kecamatan Kuta Utara Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Eksperimen Semu dengan desain non equivalen Control Group Design. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak kelompok B Gugus Cempaka Kecamatan Kuta Utara yang berjumlah 476 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu dengan teknik cluster sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok B3 TK Tunas Mekar I yang berjumlah 15 anak sebagai kelompok eksperimen serta anak kelompok B3 TK Tunas Mekar II yang berjumlah 15 anak sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data hasil pengukuran anak dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi menggunakan lembar observasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial dengan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh hasil uji-t yaitu thitung = 2,7905 dan ttabel dengan taraf signifikan 5% pada derajat kebebasan (dk) 28 adalah 2,0484. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan bahwa thitung>ttabel, maka H0 ditolak dan HA diterima. Dengan demikian dapat diketahui bahwa, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan pengukuran antara anak yang diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan metode proyek dengan anak yang diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan metode ceramah pada anak kelompok B Gugus Cempaka Kecamatan Kuta Utara Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan metode proyek terhadap kemampuan pengukuran anak kelompok B Gugus Cempaka Kecamatan Kuta Utara Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019.Kata Kunci : metode proyek, pengukuran, anak usia dini The aim of study is to know the significant difference of measurement capability between children who are given learning using of project method with children who are given learning using of lecture method in children group B Gugus Cempaka in Kuta Utara of Academic Year 2018/2019. This research type is quasi experiment research with non-equivalent control group design. The population of this research is all the children of group B Gugus Cempaka in Kuta Utara. The total amount of population of this research is 476 people. The sampling technique is using cluster sampling technique. The sample in this research is children of group B3 TK Tunas Mekar I which consists of 15 children as experiment group and children of group B3 TK Tunas Mekar II which consist of 15 children as control group. The data of children’s measurement is collected by observation technique using observation sheet. The data obtained is analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis with T-test. Based on the result of data analysis, the result of t-test is tcount = 2,7905 and ttable with significant level of 5% at degrees of freedom (dk) 28 is 2,0484. The result of t-test show that tcount > ttable then H0 is rejected and HA is accepted. Thus, it could be know that, there is a significant difference of measurement capability between children who are given learning using of project method with children who are given learning using of lecture method in children group B Gugus Cempaka in Kuta Utara of Academic Year 2018/2019. Thus, it can be concluded that, there was signifikan influence of project method on children’s measurement capability of group B Gugus Cempaka in Kuta Utara of Academic Year 2018/2019. keyword : project method, measurement, early childhood

This research is a quasi-experimental aims to finding out the impact of problem-based learning model assist with interactive simulation of the results of learning physics of grade VIII SMPN 1 Pujut in academic year 2013/2014. The design of this research used of non-equivalent control group design, while the sampling technique used purposive sampling. The population of  this research is students of grade VIII SMPN 1 Pujut with 227 students, while the sampling are the students of grade VIII 1 as the experimental group and the students of grade VIII 6 as control group. The data result studying analyzed by t-test two tail using formulas polled variance. Obtain values thint = 2,519 and ttable =2,013 on degree of free is 47 with 5% significant degree. Because  thint > ttable ,then  Ho will be rejected and Ha will be accepted which indicates that there is significant the impact of problem-based learning model assist with interactive simulation of the results of learning physics grade VIII SMPN 1 Pujut in academic year 2013/2014.

This study aimed to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking abilities through the application of edmodo's assisted discovery learning model. The study was conducted on students of class XI MIPA 2 high school 2018/2019. This study used a true experimental design in the form of a pre-test and post-test control group design. Sampling was done by a cluster random sampling technique. Data collection used reasoned multiple choice test instruments and questionnaires. The result of test analysis of students' critical thinking skills showed that the average post-test value of the experimental class was lower than the control class. The N-gain test result showed that the magnitude of the increasing of the experimental class was 0.43 lower than the control class which is equal to 0.57. The application of edmodo assisted discovery learning model had a positive effect on students' critical thinking abilities with a low category as indicated by the correlation coefficient of 0.37 and the magnitude of the influence given is 14.08%. The conclusion of this study is the application of edmodo assisted discovery learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills. Furthermore, students agree to use edmodo's assisted discovery learning model for acid base learning.

This is quasy experiments research aimed to find out the differences of physics study result through problem based learning model with comic physics assist and conventional learning on students of grade VIII SMPN 1 Labuapi in academic year 2013/2014. This research used design of Posttest Only Control Group Design, while the sampling technique used is cluster and purposive sampling. Population of this research is students SMPN 1 Labuapi of grade VIII while the sampling are the students of grade VIII B as experiment group and the students of grade VIII C as control group. The data of this study is analyzed by using two tail t-test of polled varians, those are 6,25 for  thint and 2,0294 for ttable with degree of freedom 36 and significantce 5%. This result ( thint > ttable ) H0 will be rejected and Ha will be accepted which indicates that the physics study result through problem based learning model with comic assist is different from that through conventional learning on  students of grade VIII SMPN 1 Labuapi in academic year 2013/2014.

<p>The research aims to determine the difference between <em>Discovery</em>  learning with concept map and <em>Discovery</em> learning to understanding the concept of  <em>Protista</em>  X Grade Students SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo the academic year 2014/2015. This research was quasi experiment research which used <em>Posttest Only With Nonequivalent Control Group Design.</em> The population studies are all X MIA class students of SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo in academic year 2014/2015. Sampling technique is using cluster sampling. There are two classes of the study sample, class as the experimental class 1 and the class as an experimental class 2. Class 2 experiments using <em>Discovery </em> learning with concept map and experimental class 1 using  <em>Discovery </em>learning. The techique of collecting data is using <em>Certain Response Index</em> (CRI), observation sheets, and documentation. Hypothesis testing using t test assisted by SPSS 16. Student's learning competency which mostly still under Minimum Criterion. This is caused by lack of preparation of student in face of learning process and also more dominated by teacher centered), so the less effective learning process. These problems can be solved by applying discovery learning models containing literacy science. This research is an experimental research with randomized control group design posttest only design. The population of this study is all of the class VII registered in the academic year 2017/2018. The sample was taken by purposive sampling technique that is class VII1 as control class and class VII3 as experiment class. The research instrument used is posttest for knowledge competence and affective and psychomotor observation sheet to see students' affective and psychomotor competence. Hypothesis in this study was tested using t test. The result of the research, concluded that the application of discovery learning model of science literacy can improve the learning competence of science (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) students of class VII.

This study was aimed to determine the effect of problem based learning and group investigation on: (1) learning outcomes; and (2) creative thinking ability of student in class XI of SMAN 1 Muara Batu. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttest control group design. Samples were selected using random cluster sampling technique and divided into experimental and control classes. Class XI IPA3 was applied problem-based learning model,  class XI IPA1 was applied to the model group investigation, and class XI IPA2 was applied in the conventional learning (control). Multiple choices were used to measure learning outcomes, while tests of creative thinking skills in the form of essay questions. Data were analyzed using Analysis Covarian (Anacova) at significance level α = 0.05 and followed by Tukey's test with SPSS 21.0. The results showed that: (1) There was an effect of learning model to the learning outcomes of students (F = 14.183, P = 0.000). Students who were taught by problem-based learning model was significantly different from those of group investigation and conventional learning model; and (2) There was an effect of learning model to students creative thinking abilities (F = 12.030, P = 0.000). Students who were taught by problem-based learning model was not significantly different from the group investigation model but differed significantly with students who were taught by conventional learning model.

The purpose of this research was analyze students’ mathematical critical thinking skills using ECIRR strategy. The Reseacrh was conducted at one of Islamic schools in the city of Tangerang Selatan.. Method of the research used quasi experiment method with posttest-only control group design. The samples are 53 students, they are 26 students in experimental group and 27 student in control group that chosen by cluster sampling technique. The collecting data of students’ mathematical critical thinking skills used by test instrument. The result of this research shown that students’ mathematical critical thinking skills who are taught by ECIRR strategy is higher than students who are taught by conventional strategy. Means of mathematical critical thinking skills of students’ who are taught by ECIRR strategy had skill of analyze the argument amounting to 84.62, draw a conclusion amounting to 68.27, identify assumptions amounting to 73.08, and decide an action amounting to 40,38. As for students’ who are taught by conventional strategy had skill of analyze the argument amounting to 85.19, draw a conclusion amounting to 44.91, identify assumptions amounting to 24.07, and decide an action amounting to 23.15. The conclusion of this research that ECIRR strategy have a significant effect on students’ mathematical critical thinking skills.

This study aims to determine the use of the Discovery Learning model assisted by the Pictorial Timeline media in improving students' chronological thinking skills on Islamic Cultural History subjects. This type of research is experimental research with a quantitative approach. The design used is the non equivalent control group design. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of MTsN Padang Panjang and the sampling technique was purposive sampling. The sample in this study was class VIII B with 33 students as the control class, class VIII D totaling 33 students as experimental class 1 and class VIII E totaling 33 students as experimental class 2. The research design used was quasi-experimental. The instruments used in this study were chronological thinking skills test questions in the form of multiple choice. Data analysis using one-way ANAVA test. The results of this study are: the average posttest results of students who use discovery learning models assisted by pictorial timeline media are higher than students who use discovery learning models without the help of pictorial timeline media, and the average posttest results of students who use discovery learning models without the help of pictorial timeline media are more higher than students who use conventional learning models that is 84.18> 74.88> 66.76 This study shows that there are differences in the average between the sample classes. In accordance with the ANAVA test that obtained Fcount ≥ F table which is 65.432 ≥ 3.09 so H0 was rejected.
