Indonesia is a country that is a often hit by disasters, this is due to the meeting of 4 tectonic plates of the earth. The city of Padang is right at the meeting between the Indo-Australian plate and Eurasia so that it puts the city of Padang as one of the cities prone to earthquakes. This research analyzes the type C hospital building that was originally designed in the Medan city location to be designed in Padang city with the aim to determine the strength of the structure and the need for the width of the column reinforcement in the building. The first step is to determine the spectral response value of the Padang region earthquake, a short period of 0.2 seconds Ss = 1,289 g and a period of 1 second S1 = 0.549 g. Second is calculating dead load, live load and static earthquake load equivalent to SNI 03-1726-2012 and force output in using ETABS software, and third is calculating the column reinforcement area requirements. The results of the analysis show that the width of the column reinforcement there is a difference = 4750.00 mm against field data = 6801.24 mm in the dimensions of the column 500 mm x 500 mm with a value of = 2051.24 mm and an increase in the value of the calculation reinforcement area in the 700 mm column x 700 mm is = 9800.00 mm from the field data = 9068.32 mm with a selection = 731.68 mm.

Facility of directions to the evacuation places in the city of Bengkulu is very minimal, so that people are very difficult to find an efficient route to the evacuation places. The problem is how to determine the evacuation route/gathering point. Indonesia is prone to earthquakes because logically, the Indonesian archipelago is at the confluence of three tectonic plates: the Eurasian plate, the Australian plate and the Pacific plate. In the event of an earthquake and tsunami disaster, if disaster preparedness is not prepared, it will cause damage to buildings, offices and can result in fatalities such as the events in Nangro Aceh Darussalam. Therefore, we need a system that can help overcome this disaster management. The system that can be made is the Information System for Determining Earthquake and Tsunami Evacuation Paths in the city of Bengkulu Using Android. By using Android, it will be easier for people to imitate an evacuation route or place during an earthquake and tsunami.

Lombok is located on the boundary of active tectonic plates, this is what caused the Lombok Earthquake on August, 2018. DInSAR is a remote sensing technology that utilizes radar satellites to measure the amount of deformation on the surface of the ground with sub-centimeter accuracy. This study aims to obtain the value of surface deformation after the earthquake that struck the Lombok region, in August 5, 2018 Earthquake and the August 19 2018 Earthquake and analyze impact and charateristics of the deformation that occurred in the two earthquakes. The research was carried out based on SAR Sentinel-1 image processing using SNAP Software, Google Earth and ArcGIS 10.3. Deformation that occurred after the Lombok earthquake on August 5, 2018 caused an increase in land level (uplift) on the coast of North Lombok with a deformation value of 15-30 cm to the Line of Sight (LOS). Whereas deformation in the form of subsidence occurs in the City of Mataram and West Lombok with a value of -6 to -16 cm to the Line of Sight (LOS). While the deformation that occurred after the Lombok earthquake on August 19, 2018, caused an increase in land level (uplift) on the East Lombok coast with a deformation value of 18 to 31 cm to the Line of Sight (LOS). Whereas deformation in the form of subsidence occurs in Central Lombok with a value of -3 to -17 cm to the Line of Sight (LOS).

The rapid development of information and technology, the city of Bandung tourism has also increased. However, tourists who visit the city of Bandung have problems with a limited time when visiting Bandung tourist attractions. Traffic congestion, distance, and the number of tourist destinations are the problems for tourists travel. The optimal route selection is the solution for those problems. Congestion and distance data are processed using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. Route selection uses the Floyd-Warshall Algorithm. In this study, the selection of the best route gets the smallest weight with a value of 5.127 from the Algorithm process. Based on testing, from two to five tourist attractions get an average calculation time of 3 to 5 seconds. This application is expected to provide optimal solutions for tourists in the selection of tourist travel routes.

While Dubai's urban scene is dominated by planned and pre-designed developments, grassroots initiatives have always been present and have helped shape the trajectory of the city's evolution. In one case, an industrial area, Al Quoz, has seen the clustering of art businesses over a relatively short period turning it into a cultural destination. Accounting for most of such clustering, Alserkal Avenue became Dubai's art hot-spot that changed the cultural map of the city. This article describes the rise of Alserkal Avenue, not only as the result of the entrepreneurial action of the proprietors but also as a product of a complex melange of economic, cultural, and urban evolutionary processes that intertwine with the rise of the city itself.

Prediction of structural damage prior to earthquake occurrence provides an early warning for stakeholders of building such as owners and urban managers and can lead to necessary decisions for retrofitting of structures before a disaster occurs, legislating urban provisions of execution of building particularly in earthquake prone areas and also management of critical situations and managing of relief and rescue. For proper prediction, an effective model should be produced according to field data that can predict damage degree of local buildings. In this paper in accordance with field data and Fuzzy logic, damage degree of building is evaluated. Effective parameters of this model as an input data of model consist of height and age of the building, shear wave velocity of soil, plan equivalent moment of inertia, fault distance, earthquake acceleration, the number of residents, the width of the street for 527 buildings in the city. The output parameter of the model, which was the damage degree of the buildings, was also classified as five groups of no damage, slight damage, moderate damage, extensive damage, and complete damage. The ranges of input and output classification were obtained based on the supervised center classification (SCC-FCM) method in accordance with field data.

‘CENTRE OF A BENEFICENT FORCE IN EDUCATION’ OR ‘ORDINARY MERCHANT BUSINESS’? THE MUSEUM OF EDUCATION AND ART IN ROTTERDAM, 1880-1886 For a short period of time, the city of Rotterdam housed a rather unique museum, the Museum of Education and Art (Museum voor Onderwijs en Kunst). It existed for six years and only for less than a year in its original form. In 1880 it was unlike other educational or – as they were usually called – school museums. Other than today’s cultural history school museums, these museums were integrated in education and functioned as a means to support mass education by the state. They did so by exhibiting the whole range of school materials to enable headmasters and teachers to make informed choices. School materials were also displayed at educational exhibitions at world fairs. The Museum in Rotterdam was exceptional because it was a private, commercial enterprise, unlike other school museums which were established by schoolboards, local authorities, or by a state. In addition, it was the first and probably the only case with a purpose-built housing, where others generally used existing (school)buildings or were part of an arts and crafts museum.

Abstract:Ambient CO2 concentration (together with CO2 exchange and microclimate) was recorded every 30 min for 15 months for Lecanora muralis growing in the Botanical Garden Würzburg (Germany, northern Bavaria), a habitat on the outskirts of the city. Annual mean CO2 was around 17 ppm higher than the global average reported for the time of measurement (361 ppm; 1995/96), and daily values ranged from 317 to 490 ppm. Diel courses of CO2 could be classified into three different types. Type A, when CO2 levels rose overnight and then fell strongly to below global levels during the day, which predominated in the summer (about 75 of days); Type B, irregular diel courses occurred during all seasons with often very rapid changes apparently due to advective CO2 transport; Type C, CO2 concentration was typically almost stable at generally between c. 330 and 430 ppm which predominated in the winter (63 of days).Under controlled conditions, CO2 saturation of net photosynthesis (NP) of L. muralis at optimal hydration and light occurred at around 1000 ppm. NP was also affected by low CO2 at limiting light and thallus water contents. Based upon these data, we estimated the improvement of NP of L. muralis due to transient increase of ambient CO2 (as compared with the global average) for one selected combination of environmental factors (nocturnal dew or frost). This combination is an important source of water for the lichen, resulting in 40 of its annual production and, especially in these situations, photosynthesis was increased by high ambient CO2 in the early morning under prevailing Type A conditions. After dew activation, light compensation point of NP occurred at an average concentration of 413 ppm and diel maxima of NP at 402 ppm. This allows a rough estimate that the transiently elevated CO2 increased the photosynthetic gain of the lichen after dew of 7, or an improvement to its annual carbon balance of about 3. Conditions, especially interrelationships between lichen hydration, light and CO2 are so complex that we are not yet able to extend our estimates to other environmental situations of photosynthetic activity of L. muralis.
