Web-based learning environments have become an integral part of learning. The way that they are employed in the learning process, or in other words the learning strategy followed in that respect, is an important issue that has to be carefully thought of, deciding upon topics such as suitable pedagogical approaches and appropriate assessment techniques for a given context. The chapter deals with this exact issue by visiting the relevant literature on the subject, describing selected learning strategies that have been employed in the use of an innovative eLearning platform in schools in Europe and finally outlining and comparing two real case studies from two European countries.

The use of web-based learning is not a new phenomenon in the world of education nowadays. There is a lot of research on web-based learning that shows the result of learning processes that are effective, interesting ang dynamic, flexible to access, choose on time and cheap. In the development of web-based learning (e-learning) as a study to overcome the problem of social competence in teacher education has not been widely done. This idea responds to the ownership of student social competence in teacher education which tends to be less than optimal. For this reason, web-based social competency training is proposed as an alternative solution to improve the social competence of pre-service teacher students. This research is used to develop web media with cooperative learning strategies that will be used for pre-service teacher social competency training. The main objective of this research is to develop web media that is suitable for training. The use of Research and Development methods (R&D) with the beginning of qualitative descriptive research and followed by evaluation. Qualitative research to collect data and information about research objects, situations and environmental settings and describe the stages of web development is followed by evaluation of media experts, material experts, learning experts and linguists. The results of this study are decent web media, using expert judgment on the site www.sosial-klub.com. Future improvements and study plans include developing a web-based training model with cooperative learning strategies to be implemented.

Information and communication technology advanced, people's lives have changed. Teachers are interested in technology, but they do not promote joyful learning due to a lack of trust. Using these web-based resources makes learning fun and will inspire students to think higher-order that traditional classrooms cannot do. Learning happens when there is happiness, and learning becomes a part of getting marks without pleasure. Several web-based technology resources can use in teaching-learning strategies, but some of them discussed here. We are Facebook, Glogster, Prezi, Diigo, Dropbox, and it is possible to use Moodle in class. Tertiary educational institutions have widely adopted Web-based learning resources. As a result, a great deal of work has devoted to exploring factors that affect the degree of learners ' acceptance of these tools. Few studies have explored the antecedents of these causes. In this paper, it claimed that learning styles are a significant antecedent that will indirectly influence acceptance by directly influencing factors. The specific focus of attention was a web-based quiz tool, as these instruments used for evaluation in many organizations without knowing how individual learner characteristics impact their acceptance and use.

This paper reports on a large scale study carried out in four settings that investigates the potential of the web as a medium of language instruction, both to complement face to face teaching and as a stand alone course. Data was collected by questionnaires and observational procedures to ascertain student perceptions of the usefulness of web based learning, their views on its advantages and disadvantages, their personal comfort and enjoyment when working with the web, their preferred mode of delivery, their evaluation of the quality of resources used, and their learning strategies and study preference.
Results showed that students were on the whole positively inclined to working with the web and found it useful, with the majority preferring to use the web as an add on to face to face teaching. Reported advantages fell into the broad categories of time flexibility, reinforced learning, privacy and wealth of information; disadvantages into distraction, absence of teacher and personal interaction and lack of speaking practice. Significant differences for age and gender were found relating to clarity of objectives, number of hours worked, mode of delivery, perception of comfort and appreciation of graphics. Very few significant findings relating to strategy strength emerged.
