The Lean Startup Method (LSM) provides a systematic management of innovation processes within startups and even within well-established companies. Despite its wide use by a lot of innovative companies, this study claims that using the LSM compromises the development of breakthrough and radical innovations and also companies' innovativeness is hindered given that companies usually follow the method and its principles blindly, without fully understanding its advantages and disadvantages. The aim of this study is to make a critical analysis of the LSM with focus on the above two statements and to test the critical findings from the analysis with the help of innovation experts. The methods employed in the study are mainly statistical ones like Pearson correlation, linear regression and statistical mean. The results show that innovation experts generally do agree with the formulated critical points (CPs) in the research but still use the method because they had not been aware of these disadvantages before entering the research as respondents. Another finding is the negative correlation between commercializing breakthrough innovations and using customers in the innovation development process. The contribution of the paper for the readers is mainly related to the impact of customer utilization within the breakthrough innovation development process and how using the LSM might compromise companies' innovativeness in general.

Management of innovation processes in a company is a field that is still not sufficiently researched and applied in practice. Managers in companies often do not know about modern techniques and design tools for creating innovation processes and about the possibility of their effective usage for management and in decision-making conditions. Therefore the main aim of the paper is to present contemporary theoretical and practical achievements in the field of innovation management, which focus on the area of innovation processes and emphasize the possibilities of managing innovation processes in business. The practical purpose of this study was to analyze the state and development of innovativeness of a selected group of Polish enterprises. The following methods were used in the work: a critical analysis of the literature, deductive methods, CAWI method (Computer Assisted Web Interview), and synthesis of measurement results of analytical indicators in selected functional areas of the studied enterprises. The conclusion was that for several years, it is clearly visible that a small group of innovative companies has formed in Poland that constantly increases its expenditure on innovative activities including research and development. In addition, the expenditures incurred are at a very decent level when compared to the European Union (EU) average, which suggests that these companies are competitive not only at the country level, but also outside it.

The purpose of the article is to implement a systematic analysis of the factors of the formation of a stable system of political governance. To clarify the functions and structure of a stable political system, the characteristics of stability are highlighted, according to which the political system: has signs of legitimacy; is able to cope with the threat of illegitimate violence; supports the constitu-tional system; reproduces a model of behavior based on stability. Methodologically, the article is based on the works of classical and modern scientists (P. M. Khomyakov, M.A. Gaydes, I.B . Rodionov, A. A. Khomiakov). Makarycheva), devoted to the systematic analysis of political systems. The paper also uses morphological analysis, analysis of political efficiency, and in the final part — the method of state-management design. The author comes to the conclusion that the functions and structure of the modern political system should be considered from the point of view of the defini-tions of “political stability”, viewed through the prism of the absence of political threats, adaptive irremovability of political subjects and the balance of political forces. Political stability implies that the distribution of resources in society involves not only the institutional subsystem of the political system, but also the functional, regulatory and ideological subsystems. Morphological analysis demonstrates that a stable political system is characterized by a balanced interaction of subsystems, in which at least the institutional, regulatory and functional subsystems jointly determine the process of functioning and development of the political system. Stability is the basis and guarantee of po-litical development in the modern world, and stability is not contrary to innovative development or development in general. Both stability and development are the basic conditions for the development of a modern political system, methods of avoiding negative adaptation in the global environment. Stability is not synonymous with closeness — on the contrary, it implies horizontal and vertical mobility, a constitutional system, and a focus on maintaining the activity of political actors. At the same time, all these processes cannot be allowed to take their course and develop outside the political control of the vertical structures of power. Integrity as a system-wide property is an integral basis for the stability of the political system.

The article presents the results of research of separate aspects of the process of complex assessment of the strategic management level of the enterprise innovative development on the basis of the methodology of multi-purpose analysis of the situations of making managerial decisions in conditions of uncertainty, conflict and risk. An appropriate system of generalized and partial indicators of the functioning of the enterprise, which influence the level of its innovation development, is formed. It includes: 1) a subsystem of the indicators of a generalized assessment of the state of organizational, technical and economic development of the enterprise; 2) a subsystem of effective quality indicators for assessing the level of strategic management of innovative development of the enterprise. In order to carry out the analysis of the factors impact on the results of the innovation activity of the enterprise, a modified aggregate rating criterion is chosen. It is based on the average geometric value of the detailed indicators. The above-mentioned facts allow obtaining integrated assessments of the level of strategic management of innovative development of the enterprise by reducing the negative impact of the levelling of individual indicators, the values of which fall out of the general trend of the studied processes. It is noted that the property of taking into account the antagonism of the economic environment is inherent to the recommended for use in the process of integrated assessment of the level of strategic management of innovative development of the enterprise by the average geometric meanings of the detailed indicators that characterize the situation of making innovative decisions. Thus, to some extent, it is possible to take into account the continuous overall impact of the competitive environment of the enterprise. In order to carry out an in-depth study of assessments of the level of strategic management of innovation development and innovative activity of the enterprise as a whole, a structural diagram of construction of a functional of estimating the integral indicator of the formalized situation of making innovative decisions is formed. The basic scheme of estimation of the level of strategic management of innovation development of the enterprise is developed. According to this scheme, we have determined the key stages of the research. They are the monitoring of key partial performance indicators of an enterprise, which affect the final results of innovation activity; the assessment of the organizational and technical level of development of productive forces of the enterprise; the integral assessment of the level of security and effectiveness of strategic management of innovation activities; the integrated assessment of the level of effectiveness of strategic management of innovative development of the enterprise. The indicator "stock of financial strength" has been determined as a priority indicator in assessing the situation of the adoption of innovative solutions.

Since 2002, the Slovak government have been using the system of investment aid for enterprises. However, the economy of the Slovak Republic characterized by differences among regions. Therefore, in March 2018, the Slovak government modified the system of investment aid to mitigate the differences among the regions. The main aim of the paper is to examine whether investment aid in Slovakia has served its purpose and was channelled to disadvantaged Slovak areas. The objects of the research are particular investment projects supported by the state investment aid in the observed period. The subjects of study are the selected forms of investment aid provided in the Slovak republic. The paper analyses the amount and structure of the provided investment aid in the Slovak Republic during the period 2002–2018. The secondary data on business entities, which received investment aid was obtained from the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic. An additional source of information is data from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic about the rate of unemployment and GDP per capita in the Slovak regions. Descriptive statistics and comparison analyse the obtained data to evaluate the total provided investment aid.The authors work with three research questions. The first concerned the uniformity of investment aid provision during the years 2002-2018. The second focused on verifying the proportionality of the covered costs to the newly created jobs. Finally, the authors test the primary mission of investment aid, reducing regional disparities (based on the allocation of investment aid to regions of the Slovak Republic). There were identified evident differences in the total amount of provided investment aid in particular years. The analysis confirms that the costs for one newly created job in particular Slovak regions were quite different. There were regions where the subsidies for one new job were three times higher than in others. During the analysed period, the majority (56%) of investments were realised in regions with a lower rate of unemployment compared to the average price in Slovakia. The aid in these regions was achieved, with 75 % of the total amount of investment aid. The results of the analysis confirm that investment aid in Slovakia is still not focused on the support of less developed regions. Keywords: investment aid, Slovak Republic, state support, regions, unemployment rate.
