This study established the relationship between transformational leadership and social responsibility practices in women’s organizations that produce special coffees in southern Colombia. To measure these variables using Likert scales, two questionnaires were applied: the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire 5X short version (MLQ-5X) to measure transformational leadership, and a tool developed by the researchers to measure social responsibility. Cronbach’s Alpha (α) values for the two variables showed excellent consistency (α = 0.95 and 0.90 for transformational leadership and social responsibility, respectively). For the analysis of the information, the structural equation model was used to validate the hypothesis using the SPSS AMOS software. The results indicate a significant and positive correlation between the transformational leadership practices and the perception of social responsibility, especially in the dimensions of idealized influence (behavior and attributed) and intellectual stimulation of transformational leadership, and in the dimensions of labor issues and social responsibility. These findings are consistent with existing literature, and complement aspects not addressed before (e.g. correlation between transformational leadership and social responsibility practices in women’s organizations) in the framework of gender in non-conventional organizations.

Projects are essential drivers for business growth and success. The project’s aim is analyzing the effect of transformational leadership factors on succeeding the projects. The study will investigate transformational leadership factors (Idealized Influence, Inspirational Motivation, Intellectual Stimulation & Individualized Consideration) and their direct influence on project success. Examining the impact of each factor will support project leaders and project resources to influence project progress for delivering and achieving project success and eliminating potential project losses and unnecessary project failures. Data from 216 project members working in Saudi Arabia for managing and executing projects were gathered and screened before being analyzed and empirically tested using the Structural Equation Model. The findings are supported for hypotheses suggested and showed that transformational leadership as well as 3 factors (idealized influence, intellectual stimulation and individual based consideration) have a significant relationship influencing progress and ultimately impacting project success. The study concludes that inspirational motivation has insignificant effect on project success. The results are inviting project leaders to adopt transformational leadership and raise the awareness, which stimulates the employees to express their ideas, effective feedback, and concerns to create a situation for the employee to deliver best performance levels. The most significant contribution is recognizing the positive effect of at the transformational leadership on study progress and ultimately help project managers to secure the success.

Abstract. Using the Multifactor Leadership theoretical model (Bass and Avolio, 1995) was diagnosed the perceived leadership style by 161 workers of a Regional Call Center of a Mexican public company in charge of distribution and marketing of electricity. We used the short version of the MLQ (Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire), Likert-scaled, validating its internal reliability (Cronbach's alpha for each dimension). Statistical analysis included the overall narrative and the use of structural equations (SPSS 19 and Amos, 19). Model results showed the data are consistent with the proposed research model, with a Chi2 (2)=51.26, df=31, p=0.012, 2/df=1.65, RMSEA=0.064, CFI =0.99, NFI=0.96 and TLI=.98). In general, all goodness of fit indicators manifest a good model fit. The results emphasized the importance of a good transactional leadership style complemented by a good transformational leadership style, to achieve good employee extra effort, effectiveness, and satisfaction. Keywords: call center, leadership styles, structural equation, transformational leadership, transactional leadershipJEL: M50, C30.Resumen. Abstract A leader's behavior is suspected to influence employee's subjective well-being (SWB) in achieving organizational goals through idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation and individualized, consideration that provides an evaluation of the life and positive-negative affect on the employee. Transformational leadership (TFL) is leadership that supports followers thinking creatively by using new approaches or strategies, engaging employees in the decision making process, inspiring employee loyalty, and trying to understand individual employee differences to develop optimal potential. SWB is a global evaluation of themselves and positive and negative affect. The aim of research to determine the correlation of TFL and SWB on 66 production employees at PT. X Salatiga. The data collection is used by the multifactor leadership questionnaire scale (MLQ), satisfaction whit life scale (SWLS) and positive-negative affect scale (PANAS) to measure SWB. The result showed a positive correlation between TFL on SWB with r = 0.51 (p = 0.00). Keywords: Transformational leadership, subjective well-being, satisfaction, positive-negative affect

Drawing from the transformational leadership theory, this study aimed to analyze the psychometric properties of a version adapted to the educational environment of the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ-5X). A total of 1551 Spanish students (M = 15.47 years ± 0.72; 679 boys and 872 girls) from 31 secondary schools participated in the study. The confirmatory factor analysis of the initial structure of nine factors of the scale determined the need to eliminate two items of the direction by passive exception factor, grouping passive leadership into a single factor. In a second eight-factor model, high correlations were found between the factors of transformational leadership, indicating the need to establish a first-order factor. Finally, a third model was tested that obtained adequate values of validity and reliability, which was composed of 34 items distributed in 4 main factors (transformational leadership, contingent reward, leadership by active exception and passive leadership) and 5 secondary factors for transformational leadership (idealized influence behavior, attributed idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration). Therefore, the Spanish version of the MLQ-5X in the educational field can be used to assess the transformational leadership of teachers from the perception of the students.

The current research aims to investigate the effect of transformational leadership on entrepreneurial orientation in Jordanian commercial banks, and whether organizational learning capability mediates the effect of transformational leadership on entrepreneurial orientation. Adopting a quantitative research design, data were collected by means of a questionnaire-based survey of employees in Jordanian commercial banks. Based on 330 usable responses, the results revealed the significant effect of transformational leadership and two of its dimensions (inspirational motivation and intellectual stimulation) on entrepreneurial orientation. Two other dimensions (idealized influence and individualized consideration) did not contribute to entrepreneurial orientation. Additionally, the results showed that transformational leadership has a significant effect on organizational learning capability, and that organizational learning capability in turn affects entrepreneurial orientation. The findings confirm that organizational learning capability fully mediates the effect of transformational leadership on entrepreneurial orientation. A number of recommendations are advanced, the most important of which is that banks should improve and develop managers’ transformational attributes by training them on how to deal with employees in order to increase their entrepreneurial orientation. Banks should also consider improving their learning capability, as this plays a significant role in enhancing and supporting the effect of transformational leadership attributes on entrepreneurial orientation.

More and more, healthcare institutions work to ameliorate the relation supervisor/supervised. In hospitals, transformational leadership proved to influence employee’s motivation and satisfaction (Spinelli, 2006, p.20) thus the hospital’s services. To our knowledge, there is no study conducted on the administrative employees in the healthcare sector in Lebanon that constitute our sample. There is only one study conducted on nurses by El-Jardali et al., (2008) in 69 hospitals in this country. Given this situation, we how can describe the relationship between transformational leadership and employee’s job satisfaction in hospitals? Data processing of a questionnaire administered to 455 employees of 28 over 125 hospitals in Lebanon shows that there is no significant relationship between the employee’s job satisfaction and these two transformational leadership components: leader’s idealized influence and intellectual stimulation. While we found a correlation between employee’s job satisfaction and two other components: inspirational motivation (Training; projects monitoring) and individualized consideration (Active listening to employee’s work issues).

Our education system has been remoulding rapidly because of modernization. Transformational leadership style leads to favourable changes in those who follow. These leaders put in maximum efforts to increase the level of follower’s awareness for valued outcomes by expanding and elevating their needs and encouraging them to transcend their self-interests. Transformational leadership plays pivotal role in promoting and managing school development by influencing the self-efficacy of teachers. Self-efficacy is one of the four major components of positive psychological capital .School is the first and foremost important platform of education. The present paper makes an attempt to study the relationship between transformational leadership style of principal and self-efficacy of school teachers. For this, a total sample of 120 (n=20 school principals having minimum 7-8yrs. experience and n= 100 school teachers having minimum 5yrs.experience of senior classes) were taken. The ratio was 1:5 (1 principal and 5 teacher from the same school). The scores of 1 principal were assigned to 5 teachers. Teacher self-efficacy scale by Schwarzer, Schmitz and Daytner and Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire by Bass and Avolio were used to measure the above variables. The data were analysed with the help of Correlation and Regression technique. Obtained findings revealed the positive correlation of idealized influence, individualized consideration, contingent reward, management-by-exception and laissez-faire leadership with self-efficacy.
