From the beginning until now, religion has always been a paradoxical term. Religion has become an ambiguous term because it has both thesis and antithesis that are closely inherent. The thesis is that religion is positive strength striving for virtue, salvation, prosperity, happiness, and peace in the reality of human society globally and locally. On the other hand, religion also appears as negative force to be the antithesis of the religion itself. Problems rise on the religion lie not in the thesis but in the antithesis because thesis and antithesis are always accompanying the dynamics of religion in society reality. So that, it needs a "third way" as a tool to harmonize, align, and reconcile the contradiction. Research used qualitative method with critical hermeneutic approach intended to evaluate the antithesis of religion and show constructive side towards a better future. Based on the results and discussion, there is one thing called synthesis of religion. The synthesis area of religion should be an element that continues to be explored and optimized in order to create peace in the contemporary world and in the future. It takes an appreciation of positivistic religion so religion really becomes a force to liberate human beings from various negative phenomena which discolour the realm of religion.

In fulfilling the needs, human beings tend to do various ways and always looking for ease. In the context of the fulfillment of economic needs, for example, not everyone can get easy access to be able to get the needs. The purchasing power of each person always refers to the stability of the amount of income earned every day or every month. Therefore, it is not surprising that payment system in transaction of buying and selling that try to make easy for consumer to get what is wanted, that is credit payment. In Islam, payments in credit transactions are known as nasīah. This paper will trace the arguments of the Quran that are related to the payment of sale and purchase on credit.  From the Quranic interpretation of sura al-Baqarah verse 282 and 283 above with respect to the transaction on credit, it can be summarized as follows. First, the transaction on credit in Islam is not forbidden and not makruh. In other words, it is allowed even though the price of goods sold in credit is more expensive than the price in cash. Second, in a transaction on credit, it is ordered to make record and witness to the requierments and conditions of the transaction. The purpose of these records and testimony is to safeguard the rights of each transactor and to avoid disputes in the future. In this case, ulama have difference on the form of such recording and testimonies. One side believes that the order is obligatory (wajib), and the other side thinks it sunnah. According to me, after seeing the purpose of record and testimony of the above transactions, the record and testimony in the transaction is wajib.Third, transaction made in cash (yadan bi yadin), according to the author, is also required to record and testimony. This is a form of caution, because at the moment there are many disputes in transactions that arise in the community, even though they have done the recording and testimony. Fourth, note of treaty and the receipts included in each transaction at the present have an important meaning to safeguard the rights and obligations of each party conducting the transaction. Moreover, note of treaty and receipt are a valid and concrete evidence explaining the truth of the transaction. Keywords: Credit Sale, Quranic Interpertation Approach

Considering both current narrow AI, and any Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) that might be implemented in the future, there are two categories of ways such systems might be made safe for the human beings that interact with them. One category consists of mechanisms that are internal to the system, and the other category consists of mechanisms that are external to the system. In either case, the complexity of the behaviours that such systems might be capable of can rise to the point at which such measures cannot be reliably implemented. However, General Collective Intelligence or GCI can exponentially increase the general problem-solving ability of groups, and therefore their ability to manage complexity. This paper explores the specific cases in which AI or AGI safety cannot be reliably assured without GCI.

The article is an attempt at a comparative analysis of the novels: Return from the Stars by Stanisław Lem and Van Troff’s Cylinder by Janusz A. Zajdel. Both works belonging to Polish science fiction present visions of humanity in the future. Despite obvious differences (both novels were written in different circumstances, one novel is a dystopia, the other an anti-utopia) it is possible to find areas common to both works representing the Polish science fiction genre. The novels present a pessimistic vision of humanity in the future. The greatest similarity, however, can be observed in the creation of the main characters, who experience culture shock when faced with a new vision of human society. The protagonists find themselves confused, discordant and despairing. They see that the changes have gone in the wrong direction. But it is too late for them to do anything about it, except for accepting this reality or trying to escape from it back into the stars.

Abstract:In our book Unfit for the Future and a number of papers, we have argued that there is a dangerous mismatch between, on the one hand, the tremendous power of scientific technology, which has created societies with millions of citizens, and, on the other hand, our moral capacities, which have been shaped by evolution for life in small, close-knit societies with primitive technology. To overcome this mismatch before it results in the downfall of human civilization, human beings stand in acute need of moral enhancement, not only by traditional means but also by biomedical means, should this turn out to be possible. After summarizing this argument, we respond to two critics, Michael Hauskeller and Robert Sparrow.

A fundamental theme in Gilbert Meilaender’s work on bioethical issues is the relationship between the ethical claims of finitude (that is, the biological necessity that characterizes human beings as finite creatures) and of freedom (that is, the capacity of human beings to transcend biological necessity). This article identifies two ways in which Meilaender articulates this relationship (one Niebuhrian, the other Augustinian) and proposes a third (Barthian) way which avoids the limitations of the first two ways while serving Meilaender’s purpose, which is to redress what he sees as an imbalance in favor of the claims of freedom over those of finitude in contemporary biomedicine and bioethics. The article ends by suggesting that Meilaender’s purpose would be best served by avoiding tensions between finitude and freedom as the third way does.

In this paper we attempt to find an answer to the question – how can we revisit political theory? This question may seem apparently simple, but the moment one start exploring, the incongruities and complexities of politics make the undertaking question highly toilsome. It is impossible to completely reject the normative framework in political analyses as far as it deals with the human society. On the other side, the age of post-truth politics also creates a difficulty to find out the objective facts and truth. So rather than arguing which method of politics is more efficient to deal with the uncertainties of human political life today, we attempt to visualize politics from a new understanding i.e., politics as absence of general agreement beyond excessive empiricism and extreme normativism. It is the antagonistic nature of human beings what keep ‘the political’ alive, and constitute the factual practices known as ‘politics’.

Religion has probably been very influencial since the dawn of civilization. The next imperative question would be how something that has always been in the very discourse of human achievement stays in the centre stage for generations to come. To tackle this question, it is important to see what religion actually is related to its ability to manifest the self. The question can even be extended further by examining how the self – central to epistemological inquiries – be justified by the presence of consciousness. Constructing answers to this colossal undertaking of religious identity invites a thorough understanding of how human beings can be taken as conscious. The subsequent agenda is to determine whether consciousness lies within or – on the other way around – outside; whether it is naturally personal or else impersonal. Having dealt with these risky arguments allows us to slightly probe something in the future concerning the debatable fate of being a religious self. Both Mark C. Taylor’ rejuvenated schemata and Yuval Noah Harari’ reinvented algorhytms have provided an extra breathing space that facilitates broader chances for religion to further play a farther role in an even broader horizon of foreseeable possibilities.

Despite the future price of individual stocks has long been proved to be unpredictable and irregular according to the EMH, the turning points (or the reversal) of the stock indices trend still remain the rules to follow. Therefore, this study mainly aimed to provide investors with new strategies in buying ETFs of the indices, which not only avoided the instability of individual stocks, but were also able to get a high profit within weeks. Famous theories like Gann theory and the Elliott wave theory suggest that as part of the nature, market regulations and economic activities of human beings shall conform to the laws of nature and the operation of the universe. They further refined only the rules related to specific timepoints and the time cycle rather than the traditional analysis of the complex economic and social factors, which is, to some extent, similar to what the Chinese traditional culture proposes: that every impact on and change in the human society is always attributable to changes in the nature. The study found that the turns of the stock indices trend were inevitable at specific timepoints while the strength and intensity of the turns were uncertain, affected by various factors by then, which meant the market was intertwined with both certainty and uncertainty at the same time. The analysis was based on the data of the Shanghai Index, the Second Board Index and the Shenzhen Index, the three major indices that represent almost all aspects of the Chinese stock market, for the past decades. It could effectively reduce the heteroscedasticity, instability and irregularity of time series models by replacing 250 daily high-frequency data with the extreme points near every twenty-four solar terms per year. The forecasts focusing on the future stock trend of the all-solar-terms group and the eight-solar-terms group were proved accurate. What is more, the indices trend was at a high probability to turn in a range of four days at each solar term. The alert period also provided the readers with a practical example of how it works in the real investment environment.
