The Covid-19 pandemic has provided challenges for surgical residency programs demanding fluid decision making focused on providing care for our patients, maintaining an educational environment, and protecting the well-being of our residents. This brief report summarizes the impact of the impact on our residency programs clinical care and education. We have identified opportunities to improve our program using videoconferencing, managing recruitment, and maintaining a satisfactory caseload to ensure the highest possible quality of surgical education.

Evolving digital technologies are infiltrating schools wave after wave. The changes taking place are viewed as the schools’ digital renewal process (SDRP). The SDRP is complex (multidimensional). It includes changes in the educational environment (physical and virtual), the educational process, and the way the school operates. The SDRP goes uneven, with individual schools at different stages. One-time observation of the SDRP allows you to fix its current state (statics). The longitudinal observations allows you to see changes in the schools’ digital renewal (kinematics). The connection of the observed changes with the impact on the general education system makes it possible to discuss the development of digital renewal under the influence of individual control actions (dynamics). The stages of penetration of digital technologies into the work of the school: computerization, early and mature informatization, digital transformation (transition to the “Smart School”) can be considered as the stages of maturity of the SDRP. The article discusses a framework for describing the processes of digital renewal of schools in an evolving digital environment and an assessment of the SDRP’s maturity.

The authors examine the changes and opportunities in the educational environment that will occur as packaged courseware and virtual access to laboratories are assimilated into the engineering curriculum worldwide. The impact on Universities and in turn on Canadian industry will be major unless there is a coordinated effort that can turn the challenge into an opportunity. The opportunity, the authors believe, is to use this new material to allow innovative approaches to education that use Design to direct student learning. The major benefits would be a greater appreciation of technology and practice and significantly improved communication skills, (both of which are regarded as essential by industrial employers). The authors believe that the engineering science background would be enhanced rather than weakened by the approach suggested.

The article deals with the research data on the current realia of educational environment in school perceived by pupils, their parents and teachers as well as their expectations related to educational environment of the Good school. On the ground of questionnaire survey data, pedagogical and psychological factors of learning and school climate as perceived by the respondents are analysed; characteristics of educational environment are revealed in the aspects of the impact, interaction and learning paradigms.

During the social distancing, an increasing number of people use communication applications, various types of digital tools and programs. Various video conferencing platforms are regularly used in the educational environment. The study presents the analyses how intensive is the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the educational environment and how it can change cognitive-behavioral gender differences. This is particularly important to pay a special attention to the analysis of gender as a dynamic category, to take into account the processes of gender socialization and transformation of gender identification in the changing social environment. The research methods also included a set of additional methods, such as a focus group on different aspects of gender-specific behavior in the digital learning environment, putting together collages, as well as the method of the unfinished sentence related to the impact of ICT on teachers' professional development and well-being. In the course of the study, it was recognised that the design of social models of male and female gender-specific behaviour includes more than the basic gender identity and gender stability: in today's society, there is a multiplicity of views on the similarities and differences of gender-specific behaviours, and a rapid change in the accepted social guidelines and behavioural patterns is in progress, socio-cultural norms that define the psychological characteristics of women and men, their patterns of behaviour.

The marketing and sale of alcoholic drinks have of late, witnessed an irresistible boom and alcoholic producing firms are enjoying field days. Drinking of alcohol has become a significant part in the social lives of most young people even though the abusive use of alcohol has been known as a key problem of young people in many societies. A case study design was employed in the research. This research investigates the impacts of alcohol beverage advertisement on the purchasing behaviour of students at Sunyani Technical University. A probability sampling technique was used to select the 300 respondents to participate in the research. Microsoft Excel was used to import data from the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The analysis from the survey data indicates that most of the male students contributed and 18-35 years age category dominated in the study. The survey data designates that students do not take in alcohol and most drink alcohol during special occasions and few take it heavily. The present study explored the impact of alcohol beverage advertisement as a predictor variable on the purchasing behaviour of students at Sunyani Technical University. This means that alcohol beverage advertisement plays a vital role in students' alcoholic purchasing behaviour. Therefore, alcohol producers and marketers should incorporate these elements in adverts intended to attract their targets. The study, therefore, recommended, Alcohol manufacturers and dealers should integrate these elements in adverts intended to attract their targets, most advertisements must be run on televisions, radio, music video, billboard and movies as it is most effective introducing products to consumers, policymakers and all stakeholders in education and health should also take into consideration when planning to introduce policies to control alcohol consumption.
