The purpose of the study is to identify the needs, attitude and experience of third-age people in the field of using information and communication technologies in the modern stage of informatization. The modern system of additional education for older people in the field of computer literacy is now very outdated and in need of modernization. The transformation of the needs of this category of people for new knowledge and skills is caused by the rapid pace of development of digitalization, the growth of the range of electronic services and the expansion of opportunities associated with the use of information and communication technologies. The involvement of older people in these processes and the need to adapt to a new way of life actualizes the need to study what a modern digital literacy course should be from the point of view of people of the third age, namely, it is necessary to determine their needs for computer training, the experience and resources that they have.Materials and methods. The study was conducted from 2016 to 2019 on the basis of the Municipal government institution of the city of Novosibirsk “Coordination Center “Active City” among 214 people, studying under the program “Academy of Computer Literacy”, dedicated to the basics of working with computers and the Internet, organized with the support of the social programs’ development fund named after L.I. Sidorenko. The research carried out a theoretical analysis of psychological, pedagogical and scientific literature on the research topic, questioning and polling of respondents, analysis and generalization of the data obtained. The main objectives were: a) to reveal the information and communication technology resources available to respondents at home; b) to discover the motivating factors that determine the need for training in the field of computer literacy; c) to identify the requirement for the content of the computer literacy course in modern conditions in accordance with the requirements of the respondents; d) to analyze how these requirements are manifested in different age groups: 55-60 years old, 61-70 years old, 71-80 years old and over 80 years old.Results. The results of the study show the need to develop a course, not computer, but digital literacy of a new format, with the nature of flexibility, contributing to the satisfaction of any need to eliminate the problems of information activity at any level: low, intermediate or advanced. In addition, the rapidly changing information technology necessitates the provision of training that will enable the elderly person in the future to deal with any new and unknown technology. It is very important to adapt modern retirees to the new digital reality, teach them to interact with it and understand the principles of the device.Conclusion. These studies are the basis and prove the need to revise existing computer literacy courses and develop new content and teaching methods that take into account the modern needs of third age people.

We live undoubtedly in a digital era in which younger people have more technological knowledge and use technology more than older people who mostly must adapt their lives and practices, learning how, why, and when to use digital tools. In schools, this gap is visible if we compare the curricula for teaching the Portuguese mother tongue and teachers’ practices. As we demonstrate, the references in syllabi are residual, and teachers use digital tools as they used other tools before. This paper aims to summarize and to intersect the results from previous studies on information and communication technologies (ICT), Portuguese mother tongue syllabi, and teachers’ practices with ICT. It also points out some causes of the lack of aims for the increase of digital literacy in mother tongue education.

The objective of this study is to identify the current state of, and the prospects for, information and communication technologies (ICT) dissemination in rural areas in Ukraine in juxtaposition with other post-transition countries. The spread of ICT is discussed within the frame of economic, infrastructural, and social factors affecting rural areas in Ukraine since the post-communist transition period. Information and communication technologies may support the socio-economic development of peripheral areas in many ways—including rural ones. Dissemination of ICT contributes to the emergence of sources of income, equalizes education opportunities, and increases the attractiveness of rural areas. However, the rural—urban divide in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and other former USSR countries is still remarkable and, as a type of structural inequality, should be better recognized. The source material is based on secondary data, which consists of selected literature on the subject of rural development in Central and Eastern European Countries, strategic documents, available reports and studies of international institutions, research from agencies, state documents and statistics, and research conducted by international and domestic NGOs. In reference to the paper’s objective, the method of content analysis was employed. Dissemination of ICT in rural areas in Ukraine is influenced by two groups of factors. The infrastructural divide concerning Internet access between rural and urban populations in Ukraine has been diminishing, but the issue of structural exclusion due to place of residence has still not been solved. As far as the social aspects of ICT dissemination in rural areas in Ukraine are concerned, the level of digital literacy among rural dwellers is significantly lower in comparison to urban residents. Rural areas are more exposed to the consequences of various aspects of digital exclusion.

ABSTRACT: Researching the insertion of digital information and communication technologies in the formative contexts involves problematizing teachers and students’ perceptions, appropriations and meanings about the issue. This text sought to identify the Brazilian scientific productions (theses and dissertations) regarding digital literacy in teacher education, between the years 2010 to 2018. We used the systematic review as a methodological procedure, with the help of the Parsifal software. We scored the following equations to verify the work: which research objectives do these productions reveal? What perspectives of digital literacy and what procedures and methodological instruments did the researchers adopt? What results of the digital literacy processes worked on in the training of teachers were revealed? As results, we validated 37 works, which point out the settings of training proposals with uses of digital technologies that seek to respond to the new social dynamics that student-teachers need to be able to. According to the research works found, the initial or continued training courses have lent themselves to insert the digital technologies, but the possibilities of uses are still many. KEYWORDS: digital literacy; teacher training; systematic review.

in the modern world, the problems of improving vocal pedagogy and methodological developments in the field of training future singers and vocal teachers should be considered not only from the point of view of the traditional classical school of singing described in the works of famous scientists, but also together with new information and communication technologies that have already firmly entered various fields of pedagogy and mass culture. It will be a mistake to oppose the fundamental vocal teaching methodology, which gives new generations of students a solid basis for the formation of vocal competencies, new pedagogical approaches in the field of hearing development using modern information and digital technologies. The task of modern methodist scientists is to combine classics and modernity, traditions and innovations in order to form new competencies among vocalist students, future performers and teachers.

The contemporary hybridism has led new generations to a connected-based society in which relations among individuals are even more mediated by the arising Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Some aspects of these mediations need to be deeply understood since new and different usages, habits, and practices with media are being observed among those born since the nineties – the digital natives. Aiming to investigate this context, a study was carried out to better understand how children and teenagers interact with four screens: computers, TV, games, and mobile phones. From a quantitative methodological approach, data was collected using a survey applied in Brazilian schools. A theoretical framework on digital literacy concepts was used as base for two-layer of data analysis on these four media, and the results were organized in five topics that show the main outcomes. They can be the basis of further educational policies grounded in real diagnosis.
