Purpose The purpose of this study is to explore the role of visual aesthetics as a key in generating satisfaction in student information system (SIS) users and to discover relationships to other antecedents. This work has also studied how gender discriminates those relationships. Design/methodology/approach DeLone and McLean’s model of information systems success, visual aesthetic and gender socialisation theory are used as a theoretical framework for the study. An explanatory model was proposed based on the previous literature, and then this model was validated using a sample of undergraduate students. Partial Least Squares was chosen as the approach to conduct the statistical analysis. Findings First, the findings show that the variance explained by the proposed model in user satisfaction of SIS is 67 per cent. Second, visual aesthetics has a significant direct effect on user satisfaction of SIS, but the indirect effect is much higher, through its relationship to system quality and information quality. Third, the results indicate that there are significant differences between men and women in the direct relationship between visual aesthetics and user satisfaction of SIS, and this relationship being much more intense in the case of women. Originality/value The study highlights the role of visual aesthetics as a variable that explains user satisfaction in information systems; this fact emphasises on the importance of taking into account aesthetics when designing information systems. In addition, the findings support the existence of a novel relationship between visual aesthetics and information quality. Finally, new evidence on gender differences concerning user satisfaction in information systems is presented; this result indicates in the opposite direction to recent studies that imply a certain homogenisation of gender in relation to the perceptions associated with the technologies of the information.

This study aims to analyze the effect of system quality, information quality, and service quality on student satisfaction in using the Integrated Academic Information System (SITA) at Batanghari University (Unbari) Jambi. This research was conducted in the Unbari Jambi environment, with the population in this study were students in the Unbari Jambi environment. The sample in the study was 98 students with proportionate random sampling technique. Types and sources of research data consist of primary data, namely data obtained from the opinions of respondents through a research questionnaire, and secondary data, namely data obtained from Unbari Jambi. The data analysis technique used in testing the research hypothesis was multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 21.0 for windows. The results of the study found that: 1) system quality has a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction in Unbari Jambi; 2) the quality of information has a significant positive effect on student satisfaction in Unbari Jambi; 3) service quality has a significant positive effect on student satisfaction in Unbari Jambi; and 4) system quality, information quality, and service quality together have a significant effect on the satisfaction of Unbari Jambi students with a contribution of influence of 68.1% and the remaining 31.9% is influenced by other factors not included in the scope of this study.

This research aims to make a quality model for embedded system to consider special environment such as the development of adaptation with each system unit, work of interface between the units, and so on. For this process, we extract the attributes to fit on embedded system from DeLone and McLean’s IS model. Their model is not for embedded system but for information system. Therefore we delete and insert some attributes to correspond embedded system functions from their model. The proposed model has three qualities; system quality, information quality and operation quality in system design part, and we make the quality model to consider the relation of influence with each other.

Abstract This study aims to examine the influence of system quality, information quality, and service quality of the lecturer at Malang State University. This study will also investigate the effect on user satisfaction and its impact on net benefits for users of UM Information System Expenses. This study applies a modification of the information system success model from DeLone & McLean. The model is analyzed by modeling the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on components or variants (component based) that are popular with Partial Least Square (PLS) using SmartPLS version 3.2.8. The results of this study are expected to be adopted as input and consideration in developing, improving, and improving the performance of the UM BKD information system. The research design used in this study is quantitative research. Respondents in this study were 93 UM PNS lecturers who were actively teaching. The questionnaire was online distributed by accessing the page provided. The results showed that there was a positive but not significant effect between system quality, information quality, and service quality on the use of the BKD system. However, there is a positive and significant influence between system quality, information quality, and service quality on the BKD system user satisfaction, between the uses of the BKD system on net benefits, and between the satisfaction of the BKD system users on net benefits. The implementation of BKD UM information system can be declared successful because there is a positive correlation between variables.

This study aims  to  provide empirically the effect of system quality, information quality and training on performance as well as the effect of mediating satisfaction on the effect of system quality, information quality and training on the performance of village financial information system users (Siskeudes) in East Lombok Regency. The method used is explanatory research with a quantitative approach, with a sample of 71 village treasurers. The results showed that system quality, information quality and satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on performance and satisfaction partially mediated the effect of system quality, information quality and training on the performance of village financial information system users (SISKEUDES) in East Lombok Regency. Keywords: System Quality; Quality Of Information; Training; Satisfaction; Performance.

Kata Kunci: E-audit, DeLone and McLean Models, Audit Sistem Informasi

Etik Ipda Riyani: This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the success of the implementation of the information system e-SPT Sales Tax (e-SPT PPN) to tax compliance. The model used in the study was the model of success of information systems updated D & M IS Success Model. This model is based on six measures of success is the quality information system (System Quality), the quality of information (Information Quality), quality of service (Service Quality), user interest (Intention to Use), the satisfaction of users (User Satisfaction), and tax compliance. The population of this research is all taxpayer is incorporated and registered in Madya Tax Office A and B. Researchers using simple random sampling in the sampling. The analytical tool used in this study were Path Analysis (Path Analysis). The results showed the successful implementation of the information system e-SPT PPN with dimensions System Quality, Information Quality, and Service Quality, Intention to Use and User Satisfaction effect on Tax Compliance.Key words: the success of information systems, e-SPT VAT, tax compliance
