The purpose of this study was to describe AIDS knowledge, beliefs, attitudes, and behavioral intentions among adolescents attending high school in the Republic of Trinidad, a Caribbean island. This information will be useful in planning and implementing appropriate AIDS education and prevention programs. A structured questionnaire consisting of five sections was administered to fifty-one randomly selected students aged thirteen to eighteen years and studying in forms III, IV, and V (equivalent to the last three grades of U.S. high school) in three high schools. Ninety-six percent of respondents knew the cause of AIDS and mode of transmission, but 26 percent felt that they could get AIDS from insect bites. Student knowledge did not correlate with behavior intentions, but there was a high correlation with perception of risk and their intention to use condom or abstain from sexual practice. There appears to be some association between level of education and likelihood of safe sexual practices ( p = .06). There was a significant ( p < .05) relationship between students attending all girls school and behavior intentions. There was also a significant relationship ( p < .05) between knowledge level and newspapers or magazines as the sources of knowledge.

The protection of industrial cultural heritage is related to sustainable urban development. Cultural and creative parks (CCPs) are a way for many cities to protect their industrial cultural heritage. In the context of CCPs, this study examines the relationships among the antecedents of exhibition experiential value, CCP experiential value, and behavioral intentions. Surveying 428 visitors in two well-known CCPs in Taipei, this study found that the four antecedents (attractiveness, existential authenticity, self-congruence, and exhibition–park image congruence) have a positive impact on exhibition experiential value. Exhibition experiential value has a positive impact on CCP experiential value, which in turn, affects behavioral intentions toward the CCP. In addition, this study finds that exhibition experiential value has a mediating effect between the four antecedents and CCP experiential value. Moreover, CCP experiential value has a mediating effect between exhibition experiential value and behavioral intentions. The findings of this study provide a direction for CCPs to achieve sustainable development through exhibitions that can attract more tourists.

The concept of Green (environmental) Accounting (Kusumaningtias, 2013; Ratnaningsih et al., 2004; Suparmoko, 2005; Susilo, 2008) namely Environmental Accounting has actually begun to develop since the 1970s in Europe. However, until the mid 1990s, the concept of Environmental Accounting was not much spread. Based on the Constitution of The Republic of Indonesia Number 32 year 2009 concerning Protection and Management of the Environment, Environment is the unity of space with all objects, power, circumstances, and living things, including humans and behavior, which affect nature itself, sustainability and humans and other living things welfare. The focus of this study lies in the application of Environmental Accounting at Siti Aisyah Hospital in Lubuklinggau, based on Government Accounting Standards (SAP) Number 71 year 2010 on Waste Management (Government Accounting, 2011). The problem in this study is to find out whether the application of Environmental Accounting at Siti Aisyah Hospital is in accordance with the Government Standards. The results of this study have shown that Siti Aisyah Hospital in Lubuklinggau has implemented environmental cost accounting. These environmental costs are included in maintenance costs, but the hospital has not presented a specific report on Environmental Accounting in more detail. This hospital has carried out the process of identifying, measuring, recording, presenting, and also disclosing as already explained in Government Accounting Standards No. 71 year 2010, namely presenting environmental costs by including components of environmental costs on general and administrative costs. This hospital has also managed its waste properly and has also incurred environmental costs.

Abstract Introduction Although napping is very common and related to the outcome of individual development, the relationship between napping and health is not the same in different social and cultural contexts. In China, napping is considered as a healthy lifestyle and is often associated with better adolescent development outcomes. As a special group of teenagers (the academic level does not meet the requirements of ordinary high school), vocational high school students have a higher incidence of behavioral problems than ordinary high school students. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics of napping and its relationship with behavioral problems in vocational high school students. Methods The napping questionnaire, Youth Self Report (YSR), general information questionnaire and other tools for covariates were used to measure 2505 high school students (62.04% boys, 37.96% girls, 16.71±0.02 years), recruited by convenient sampling. The relationship between nappingand behavioral problems was analyzed by multiple linear regression. Results 72.58% of the participants reported taking a midday nap at least three days per week during the past month, and 55.79% of our sample reported naps more than 30 minutes. Multiple regression analysis showed that nap frequency was negatively associated with high school students’ behavior problems after controlling for general characteristics and other important covariates. Compared with high school students who did not nap or napped less than 1 time/week, high school students who napped 1–2 times/week or 3–4 times/week had lower level of both internalizing behavior problems and externalizing behavior problems. There was no statistically significant association between nap duration and behavior problems. Conclusion This study finds that when napping is allowed, moderate frequency of napping is associated with lower level of internalizing and externalizing behavioral problems in vocational high school students, while nap duration is not significantly associated with behavioral problems. Further research is needed to explore the mechanism of the relationship between napping and behavior problems. Support (if any):

There are over 300 high schools in the Republic of Moldova, most of which do not have 10-12th parallel classes, many of which also lead to the lack of qualified teachers in some subjects, which has a negative impact on the quality of students education. The optimization of the high school network can be achieved by keeping only about 100 of their existing number, planning them in new type institutions: district high-schools, boarding schools and mixed high schools of both these categories.
