There are over 300 high schools in the Republic of Moldova, most of which do not have 10-12th parallel classes, many of which also lead to the lack of qualified teachers in some subjects, which has a negative impact on the quality of students education. The optimization of the high school network can be achieved by keeping only about 100 of their existing number, planning them in new type institutions: district high-schools, boarding schools and mixed high schools of both these categories.

The phenomenon of the Covid-19 pandemic has affected the whole globe, the consequences of which are long lasting and difficult to estimate. The Republic of Moldova, being a developing country, could not overcome these serious consequences, caused by the reduction of public health, the reduction of the work capacity of the population, the deplorable condition of the medical system, caused by small investments in health, etc. Human society has been put to hard tests of survival of patients with this virus, the incidence rate of diseases was about 11%. Thanks to the financial aid of the European Union, Romania and other countries, the Republic of Moldova managed to cope with things in the fight against Covid. This article presents the results of the research of the authors, participants of the national project "Assessment of health of post – COVID - 19 patients in the Republic of Moldova", which aimed to develop the Electronic Register of patients with Covid - 19 (March 2020 - June 2021), which will allow monitoring the process of treatment and recovery of the consequences of this disease, by assessing the state of health and quality of life both at admission and at discharge of the respective patients. Based on the concept of quality of life as a socio-economic category and its interconnections with health, the authors proposed the system of medical indicators to assess the health and quality of life of patients affected by covid. In the authors' opinion, a special role in the treatment and treatment of comorbidities belongs to comorbidities, so the authors selected them as separate study subjects to prove their negative impact on the form of the disease and the state of health and quality of life at discharge of patients.

In this article, the author investigates the influencing factors on the rebirth of the competitiveness of the national economy, which suffered from the pandemic, not only in our country but also in the world. Now all countries are facing new conditions and are looking for ways to revive both social and economic. Therefore, economic competitiveness may be the process that would lead to post-pandemic economic recovery. All that remains is for each country to select those strong factors that would lead to the rebirth of the competitiveness of the national economy. The Republic of Moldova, in order to start the process of rebirth of economic competitiveness, must invest in the renewal of the education system, the health system and new methods of motivation must be developed in order to maintain and attract the talents gone abroad, back to the country

The high degree of land use in the Republic of Moldova as a whole, and the Cogâlnic river basin in particular, imposes the need to assess the quality of the environment and the characteristics of the anthropogenic pressure on the landscapes in temporal and spatial dynamics and to identifying an adequate of measure system for the purpose to maintain/restore the optimal structure and functioning of landscape systems. Based from the Land Cadastre on data, statistical data of population censuses, bibliographic and cartographic sources, a system, was appraised a system of indicators(of naturalness, of artificialization of landscapes, environmental changes) and quantified human pressure on the environment through agriculture and anthropogenic pressure on forest landscapes from the Cogâlnic catchment area. The values of the indices and the human pressure on the landscapes were processed using GIS techniques and elaborated cartographic models.

Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) are associated with a high disease burden, reduced quality of life and shortened survival. The aim of this questionnaire was to gain patients' and caregivers' perspectives on the impact of living with an MPN in the Republic of Ireland. An Irish adaptation of the ‘Global MPN Landmark survey’ was conducted. Fifty-one patients and 44 caregivers completed the questionnaire. Patients reported a wide variety of symptoms at the time of questionnaire completion; fatigue, bone pain and pruritus being most frequently reported. Approximately one-third of respondents from each of the groups (patients and caregivers) reported a negative impact of MPNs on their emotional wellbeing and daily lives. The study findings revealed that, despite treatment, symptom burden remains high, and several unmet needs exist, including educational, emotional and peer group support. Interventions that focus on reducing symptom burden and addressing these unmet needs, may improve the quality of life for patients with MPNs and their caregivers.

Aim. Study of the influence of drinking water quality on the ecologically-dependent morbidity of the population of the Republic of Dagestan.Material and Methods. Methods of current and retrospective analysis of regional health indicators and methods of mathematical-statistical and medical-geographical analysis were used. Statistical processing of the results was carried out using the STATISTICA and Excel software packages. When carrying out laboratory studies on the quality of drinking water, we used a Lumex atomic absorption spectrometer "MGA-915MD".Results. Numerous hygiene studies indicate the direct impact of unsatisfactory drinking water quality on the health of a population. The relationship between sanitary and chemical indicators and the incidence rate for a number of nosological forms has been proven. It is generally accepted that human health is influenced by lifestyle factors (working, living and relaxation conditions), heredity and the ecological condition of the area of residence, including the quality of drinking water. Although it is not possible to differentiate the share of the negative effect caused by the consumption of poor quality drinking water but the incidence of certain nosological forms (cancer of the esophagus, gastrointestinal tract and kidney diseases) in the those regions of the Republic of Dagestan under consideration correlates with the characteristics of drinking water.Conclusion. The problem of pollution of water supply sources for the population in the dynamics of the long-term remains a priority concern. The quality and safety of drinking water are decreasing, which cannot but have a negative impact on public health. Correlation linkages between indicators of drinking water quality and oncological morbidity of the population were also established in indicators below the maximum permissible concentrations, which corresponds to a typical logistic model of causal relationships and serves as evidence of the high dependence of health disorders on chemical contamination of water supply sources.

The Indonesian government believes that textbooks play a strategic role in improving the quality of primary and secondary education (Regulation of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia No.11 of 2005). Nevertheless, Abdulkarim (2010) revealed that the quality of school textbooks, either in junior or vocational / high school is very low. The contradiction between Regulation of the Minister of National Education Regulation goal and Abdulkarim (2010), and some previous research, such as Heskett et al. (1997), and Dimitriades (2006) motivates this study to analyze the effect of satisfaction to commitment and loyalty of vocational teachers in Bandung. The results showed that there was no correlation between satisfaction and the commitment and between the commitment and loyalty, but there is a significant direct correlation between satisfaction and loyalty. This shows that users of textbooks as the government policy consumers has loyalty in the sense will do its use continuously, but the loyalty is not based on a commitment, but only based on satisfaction. This is suggests that vocational high school teachers are satisfied with the textbook but don’t want to rely on Regulation of National Education Minister, since commitment is defined by Dwyer et al. (1987), Morgan and Hunt (1994), and Pritchard et al. (1999) as a stable seeking and defensive attitude towards not to change a choice. They are easy to change attitudes through using of Electronic Text Boook (ETB) as teaching materials. The Authors also revealed some limitations and recommendations

Maternal near miss and maternal death audit has become an esssential process in the context of obstetric care in both developed and developing countries. The objective: of the present study was to assess the quality of medical services provided within the multilevel regionalized Perinatal Health System in the Republic of Moldova, by identifying the inconsistencies with existing standards of medical care, in cases of severe obstetric complications and maternal deaths. Materials and methods. All cases of maternal near miss cases and maternal deaths recorded in the Secondary and Tertiary Perinatal Centers of the Republic of Moldova during the period 2009–2014 were analyzed retrospectively. To assess the quality of obstetric care, the following indices have been calculated: maternal near miss/ maternal deaths ratio; the mortality index for each obstetric condition/ complication. Results. During a period of 6 years, in 11 Secondary and Tertiary Perinatal Centers of the Republic of Moldova there were registered 154 651 births, 2881 cases of maternal near miss and 21 maternal deaths. The General Mortality index was 0.72%, and the Mortality Index by direct obstetric morbidity was 0.48%. 92.86% of maternal deaths through direct obstetric causes were avoidable, and the proportion of near miss cases with substandard care was 81.85%. The most frequent gaps (82.48%) were caused by human factors, such as insufficient team work, communication deficiency, lack of knowledge and clinical skills necessary to properly recognize and treat critical obstetric patients, delay and errors in diagnosis and treatment, non-compliance with clinical protocols. Conclusions. The excessively high proportion of avoidable factors highlighted in the study is alarming and implies the need for more extensive activities and the development of strategies focused on ensuring the presence of qualified medical workers in medical institutions, which will allow the provision of qualitative care and safety for patients in the Republic of Moldova, reducing maternal morbidity and mortality. Key words: severe maternal morbidity, maternal near miss, maternal death, maternal mortality.
