 Due to the large volume of opinion-rich web resources such as Twitter, Facebook, blogs, and news available in digital form, and much of the current research is focusing on the area of sentiment analysis using text analysis. People are getting attracted to develop a system that can extract opinions based on their response on social media sites. Algorithms can be developed so as to predict preferences of people to improve economic and marketing research. This paper presents a sentiment analysis on a recent scenario of Uri Attack.

Social media has been a widespread phenomenon in the recent years. People shared a lot of thought in social media, and these data posted on the internet could be used for study and researches. As one of the fastest growing social network, Twitter is a particularly popular social media to be studied because it allows researchers to access their data. This research will look the correlation between Twitter chatter of a brand and the sales of brands in Indonesia. Factors such as sentiment and tweet rate are expected to be able to predict the popularity of a brand. Being one of the biggest industries in Indonesia, automotive industry is an interesting subject to study. A wide range of people buys vehicles, and even gather as communities based on their car or motorcycle brand preference. The Twitter results of sentiment analysis and tweet rate will be compared with real world sales results published by GAIKINDO and AISI.

People regularly use social media to express their opinions about a wide variety of topics, goods, and services which make it rich in text mining and sentiment analysis. Sentiment analysis is a form of text analysis determining polarity (positive, negative, or neutral) in text, document, paragraph, or clause. This chapter offers an overview of the subject by examining the proposed algorithms for sentiment analysis on Twitter and briefly explaining them. In addition, the authors also address fields related to monitoring sentiments over time, regional view of views, neutral tweet analysis, sarcasm detection, and various other tasks in this area that have drawn the researchers ' attention to this subject nearby. Within this chapter, all the services used are briefly summarized. The key contribution of this survey is the taxonomy based on the methods suggested and the debate on the theme's recent research developments and related fields.

Through Social Media, like social networking sites, wikis, web forums or blogs, people can debate and influence each other. Due to this reason, the analysis of online conversations has been recognized to be relevant to organizations. In the chapter we introduce two strategic tools to monitor and analyze online conversations, Sentiment Text Analysis (STA) and Network Text Analysis (NTA). Finally, we propose one empirical example in which these tools are integrated to analyze Word-of-Mouth regarding products and services in the Digital Marketplace.

Recently, the web has been crowded with growing volumes of various texts on every aspect of human life. It is difficult to rapidly access, analyze, and compose important decisions using efficient methods for raw textual data in the form of social media, blogs, feedback, reviews, etc., which receive textual inputs directly. It proposes an efficient method for summarization of various reviews of tourists on a specific tourist spot towards analyzing their sentiments towards the place. A classification technique automatically arranges documents into predefined categories and a summarization algorithm produces the exact condensed input such that output is most significant concepts of source documents. Finally, sentiment analysis is done in summarized opinion using NLP and text analysis techniques to show overall sentiment about the spot. Therefore, interested tourists can plan to visit the place do not go through all the reviews, rather they go through summarized documents with the overall sentiment about target place.

BACKGROUND Previous studies have shown that electronic cigarette (e-cigarette) users might be more vulnerable to COVID-19 infection and could develop more severe symptoms if they contract the disease owing to their impaired immune responses to viral infections. Social media platforms such as Twitter have been widely used by individuals worldwide to express their responses to the current COVID-19 pandemic. OBJECTIVE In this study, we aimed to examine the longitudinal changes in the attitudes of Twitter users who used e-cigarettes toward the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as compare differences in attitudes between e-cigarette users and nonusers based on Twitter data. METHODS The study dataset containing COVID-19–related Twitter posts (tweets) posted between March 5 and April 3, 2020, was collected using a Twitter streaming application programming interface with COVID-19–related keywords. Twitter users were classified into two groups: Ecig group, including users who did not have commercial accounts but posted e-cigarette–related tweets between May 2019 and August 2019, and non-Ecig group, including users who did not post any e-cigarette–related tweets. Sentiment analysis was performed to compare sentiment scores towards the COVID-19 pandemic between both groups and determine whether the sentiment expressed was positive, negative, or neutral. Topic modeling was performed to compare the main topics discussed between the groups. RESULTS The US COVID-19 dataset consisted of 4,500,248 COVID-19–related tweets collected from 187,399 unique Twitter users in the Ecig group and 11,479,773 COVID-19–related tweets collected from 2,511,659 unique Twitter users in the non-Ecig group. Sentiment analysis showed that Ecig group users had more negative sentiment scores than non-Ecig group users. Results from topic modeling indicated that Ecig group users had more concerns about deaths due to COVID-19, whereas non-Ecig group users cared more about the government’s responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. CONCLUSIONS Our findings show that Twitter users who tweeted about e-cigarettes had more concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic. These findings can inform public health practitioners to use social media platforms such as Twitter for timely monitoring of public responses to the COVID-19 pandemic and educating and encouraging current e-cigarette users to quit vaping to minimize the risks associated with COVID-19.

In today’s world, social media is viral and easily accessible. The Social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, etc. are a primary and valuable source of information.Twitter is a micro-blogging platform, and it provides an enormous amount of data. Such type of information can use for different sentiment analysis applications such as reviews, predictions, elections, marketing, etc. It is one of the most popular sites where peoples write tweets, retweets, and interact daily. Monitoring and analyzing these tweets give valuable feedback to users. Due to this data's large size, sentiment analysis is using to analyze this data without going through millions of tweets manually. Any user writes their reviews about different products, topics, or events on Twitter, called tweets and retweets. People also use emojis such as happy, sad, and neutral in expressing their emotions, so these sites contain expansive volumes of unprocessed data called raw data. The main goal of this research is to recognize the algorithms by using Machine Learning Classifiers. The study intends to categorize Fine-grain sentiments within Tweets of Vaccination (89974 tweets) through machine learning and a deep learning approach. The study takes consideration of both labeled and unlabeled data. It also detects emojis from tweets using machine learning libraries like Textblob, Vadar, Fast text, Flair, Genism, spaCy, and NLTK.

Korean popular music (K-pop) fandom is under the spotlight as the K-pop industry has rapidly grown transnationally. Fandom practices across national borders in social media have emerged as fans support their idols by buying the records, continuously discussing their personal lives, attending live music concerts, and supporting social causes in the name of the idols. This paper investigates fandom participatory culture with regards to creating and supporting social activism message on social media. By collecting and analyzing a large volume of fandom activity data from Twitter, this study considers the prevalence of fandom participatory culture and considers the importance of K-pop’s transnationalism with regards to social activism on social media. By analyzing the Twitter data of ARMY on #BTSLOVEYOURSELF, we demonstrate that this participatory culture gives the fandom and their messages bigger effect on social media beyond the idol’s commercially-crafted public image. Sentiment analysis is one of the fastest growing fields with its demand and potential benefits that are increasing every day. Sentiment analysis aims to classify the polarity of a document through natural language processing, text analysis. With the help of internet and modern technology, there has bee n a tremendous growth in the amount of data. Each individual is in position to precise his/her own ideas freely on social media. All of this data can be analyzed and used in order to draw benefits and quality information. In this paper, the focus is on cyber-hate classification based on for public opinion or views, since the spread of hate speech using social media can have disruptive impacts on social sentiment analysis. In particular, here proposing a modified approach with two stage training for dealing with text ambiguity and classifying three type approach positive, negative and neutral sentiment, and compare its performance with those popular methods also as well as some existing fuzzy approaches. Afterword comparing the performance of proposed approach with commonly used sentiment classifiers which are known to perform well in this task. The experimental results indicate that our modified approach performs marginally better than the other algorithms.

Sentiment Analysis has paved routes for opinion analysis of masses over unrestricted territorial limits. With the advent and growth of social media like Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, Snapchat in today’s world, stakeholders and the public often takes to expressing their opinion on them and drawing conclusions. While these social media data are extremely informative and well connected, the major challenge lies in incorporating efficient Text Classification strategies which not only overcomes the unstructured and humongous nature of data but also generates correct polarity of opinions (i.e. positive, negative, and neutral). This paper is a thorough effort to provide a brief study about various approaches to SA including Machine Learning, Lexicon Based, and Automatic Approaches. The paper also highlights the comparison of positive, negative, and neutral tweets of the Sputnik V, Moderna, and Covaxin vaccines used for preventive and emergency use of COVID-19 disease.

Now-a-days, it is very common that the customers share their thoughts about any product, brand and their experience in social media. The analysts collect these reviews and process it, to extract meaningful information about the product. The beauty of social media is, it’s involved in all the domains. So the analysts got reviews from different social media and platforms for almost all kind of thing. The Sentiment Analysis is applied to predict outcomes for getting useful information, for ex.; like predict the blockbuster for a movie, rating for any new launches and many more. This type of prediction is really helpful for the customer to buy any goods or take any services in this competitive world. This paper is focused on e-commerce website reviews which are normally in text form with some special characters and some symbols (emojis). Each word in this text set got some meaning in terms of context, emotion and prior experience. These characteristics contribute to some of the features of text data for prediction. The objective of this paper is to compile existing research works on text analysis and emotion based analysis. The open issues and challenges of document based sentiment analysis are also discussed. The paper concluded with proposing a new approach of multi class classification. Ternary classification for classes positive, negative and neutral is suggested primarily for product based text and emoji reviews on Twitter social media.
