The purpose of this study was to compare time period and patterns of goal scoring in four UEFA Champions League (UCL) tournaments (2013-2017). All matches (n=500) of the four Champions League tournaments were recorded using video and analyzed with the software Sportsscout. Chi-square methods were used for the data analysis and the level of significance was set at p<0.05. The time period and scoring pattern comparison between UCL tournaments did not present any significant difference (X2=84.500, p>0.05 for the time period, X2=25.350, p>0.05 for open play and X2=7.503, p>0.05 for set play). The 15-min analysis for each tournament did not show any significant difference if we exclude all extra time periods. However, in UCL 2013-2014 and 2015-2016 more goals were scored in the second half (X2=9.696, p<0.05 and X2=7.496, p<0.05, respectively). With open play more goals were scored than set play (75% and 25% average, respectively). The action that scored the most goals in open play was combination and crosses (21.6% and 22.4% respectively) and in set play was corners and penalties (33.9%, all). The results showed that no differences occurred between CLs regarding the scoring patterns and time periods of scoring. However, goal scoring might be time dependent because more goals were scored in the second half. An explanation for this could be the fatigue and the tactical strategy. About the patterns, coaches must focus on training crosses and passing combinations. Also, they should give a lot of attention to corners of set plays.

Frauds in insurance are typically where a fraudster tries to gain undue benefit from the insurance contract by ignorance or wilful manipulation. Using the claims data in motor insurance obtained from a Mumbai based insurance company for the time period of 2010-2016, this study focuses on studying the pattern exhibited by those claims which have been rejected and accepted as well. The prime objective of the study is to identify the important or the significant triggers of fraud and predicting the fraudulent behaviour of the customers using the identified triggers in an existing algorithm. This study makes use of statistical techniques like logistic regression & CHAID (Chi Square Automatic Interaction Detection) technique to identify the significant fraud triggers and to determine the probability of rejection & acceptance of each claim coming in future respectively. Data mining techniques like decision tree and confusion matrix are used on the important parameters to find all possible combinations of these significant variables and the bucket for each combination. This study finds that variables like Seats/Tonnage, No Claim Bonus, Type of Vehicle, Gross Written Premium, Sum Insured, Discounts, State Similarity and Previous Insurance details are found to be significant at 1% level of significance. The variables like Branch Code and Risk Types are found to be significant at 5% level of signify cance. The Gain chart depicts that our model is a fairly good model. This research would help the insurance company in settling the legitimate claims within less time and less cost and would also help in identifying the fraudulent claims.

ABSTRACT Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the periodontal status of teeth indicated for undergoing endodontic treatment. Materials and Methods: Two hundred and nine teeth were evaluated using probing depth tests at three vestibular and three palatine/lingual sites before the patients underwent treatment. Teeth that presented up to 3-mm probing depth were considered as healthy. Those that presented at least one site with probing depth >3 mm were considered periodontally compromised. The data were statistically analyzed by means of applying the Chi-square test, with a level of significance of 5%. Results: Of the total of 209 teeth evaluated, 40 (19.10%) presented periodontal compromise. There was statistically significant difference related to the compromised teeth of patients of the female gender (22.80%) compared with teeth of patients of the male gender (12.30%) (P < 0.05). Conclusions: Fewer than 20% of the teeth evaluated presented a periodontal compromise. Patients of the female gender presented a higher number of periodontally compromised teeth than patients of the male gender.

AbstractThe objective of this study was to compare perinatal results in multifetal pregnancies where the reduction to twins was performed with non-reduced twin pregnancies. Perinatal results in 99 sets of twins after transabdominal multifetal pregnancy reduction of triple and higher-order multiple pregnancies performed in a single center were compared with a control group consisting of 151 twin pregnancies conceived in the same time period after infertility treatment, which were not a result of reduction. The main outcome measures were length of pregnancies, weight of the newborns, percentage of miscarriages and the mode of the delivery were analyzed. No significant difference could be found at a 5% level of significance regarding the average duration of pregnancy or average weight of the twins. Fisher test on 5% significance level did not ascertain any significant difference in the probability of miscarriage between the group with reduction (5.26%) and the group without reduction (12.84%). At a 5% level of statistical significance, no significant difference in probability of perinatal death of the fetus or delivery of a stillborn fetus was found. The percentage of cesarean sections did not differ significantly in both groups. The analysis of both groups demonstrated that reduction of multifetal pregnancies to twins may not influence perinatal results in comparison to twin pregnancies where reduction was not performed.

Abstract Abstract 3357 Background: The national coverage decision regarding reimbursement for usage of ESAs for chemotherapy-induced anemia (CIA) from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) underwent changes in early 2007. This study examines the rates of packed red blood cell (PRBC) transfusions and usage of ESAs before and after the changes of these health care regulations in patients with DLBCL treated with standard Rituximab, Cyclophosphamide, Doxorubicin, Vincristine, and Prednisone (R-CHOP) chemotherapy. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed from records of patients seen at our center from March 2007 to January 2009 with previously untreated DLBCL, identified from a prospective database of the lymphoma registry at UT-MDACC. Eligibility for inclusion in this evaluation required treatment with at least 4 cycles of standard R-CHOP chemotherapy, one cycle given every three weeks, and adequate information regarding ESA and blood transfusion administration. Three time periods were identified based on 3 successive changes in billing coverage guidelines for ESAs. These changes were based upon reimbursement of ESAs for hemoglobin levels of ≤ 12 g/dl (Period 1), ≤ 11 g/dl (Period 2) and ≤ 10 g/dl (Period 3). The number of PRBC transfusions and number, dose, and type of ESA injections were reported per patient. We also evaluated the overall survival (OS) rates for patients in these three time intervals. Chi-square and Kruskal-Wallis tests were used to analyze categorical and continuous variables, respectively. The Kaplan-Meier and log-rank tests were used to estimate OS rates and evaluate the associations of PRBC transfusions and use of ESAs with OS, respectively. Results: 160 records were available for review, and 129 were included in this analysis. There were 77 patients in Period 1, 31 in Period 2, and 21 in Period 3. With a median follow-up time of 24.7 months (range 1 – 38), PRBCs and ESAs were administered to 43 and 34 patients, respectively. PRBC transfusion rates in each time period were: 29 (37.7%) for Period 1, 8 (25.8%) for Period 2, and 6 (28.6%) for Period 3 (p = 0.43). Patients receiving ESAs in each time period were 25 (33.3%), 5 (16.7%), and 4 (19%), respectively (p = 0.16). There were no differences in the rates of PRBC transfusions (p = 0.88) or use of ESAs (p = 0.36) for these patients over these time periods, although the latter observation may be due to small numbers of patients in each period group. The 2-year OS rate was 68% for those 43 who received transfusions compared to 94% for the 86 patients who did not require transfusions (p=0.001), while there was no statistical difference between OS rates for those 34 who did and the 95 patients who did not receive ESAs (87% vs 84%, p=0.97). Conclusions: The changes of CMS reimbursement for ESAs in patients with CIA may have decreased the use of ESAs, but in this study have not made any changes in the rates of PRBC transfusions in patients with DLBCL receiving standard R-CHOP chemotherapy. Furthermore, OS rates were lower in those requiring transfusions than in those who did not, but the use of ESAs appeared to have no effects on these results. The Indian Banking Industry has undergone radical changes due to liberalization and globalization measures undertaken since 1991. Today, Indian Banking Industry is one of the largest in world. There has been a great surge in efficient customer services. A highly satisfied and delighted customer is a very vital nonfinancial asset for the banks in the emerging IT era. The curtsey, accuracy & speed are like a crown factors for a bank. Based on the responses of 768 customers of public sector bank, Indian Private Sector Bank & Foreign Bank (each one from these groups) operating in Amritsar district of Punjab and in case of fully E-bank, (three banks, one from each bank group) have been taken into consideration. It may be inferred that there is significant difference among three bank groups with regard to the time customers have to spend to transact a business. The E-banks are more efficient in regard to time factor. This is the very important factor of shifting of potential customers in E-banks. The survey was conducted in Amritsar district of Punjab in the month of September 2007. Chi-Square test is used to check the level of significance difference among various bank groups and coefficient of contingency among various bank group customers’ responses is also calculated.

AbstractThis study aims to assess the awareness and opinions of employees and children living in foster care homes about the Romanian Clean Air Legislation. The assessment was performed six months after the implementation of the antitobacco legislation (Romanian Law no.15/2016), in three Romanian counties (Alba, Mures, and Covasna) including 178 employees and 368 children from 59 foster care homes. Data were collected using an anonymous paper and pencil questionnaire. Descriptive statistics and chi-square test were used for data analysis (significant difference if p < 0.05). Almost one third of the employees and children were smokers from the forest care homes. Nearly, all the employees and most of the children were aware of the legislation, most of them have also noticed some kind of measures taken by foster care homes against smoking. As claimed by smokers, almost two-thirds of them smoked like they used to do before the legislation, more than a quarter stated that they decreased the number of daily smoked cigarettes and nearly a quarter intended to quit smoking in the future. A half year after the implementation of the legislation most of the employees and children living in foster care homes admitted that they knew about the change and it affected their smoking habits. Most of them have also observed some kind of measures taken against smoking. Despite these measures there were still smokers in the foster care homes, so there would be a need for more campaigns against smoking in the future.

The purpose of this study was to analyze differences in consumer perceptions of the determinants of shopping for products, location, price, convenience of shopping, advertising, and employee services found at Indomaret and Alfamart and to analyze several types of factors that were superior to Indomaret and Alfamart Other retailers are located in Griya Martubung, Kelurahan Besar, Medan Labuhan District. Benefits This research provides information material to Indomaret and Alfamart parties about differences in consumer perceptions of the determinants of shopping places regarding products, location, price, convenience of shopping, advertising, and employee services. For other researchers it can be used as a reference in conducting studies or research with the same subject matter as well as input for parties directly concerned with this research. The number of samples is 200 respondents, the method of collecting data through questionnaires and documentation, the variables studied about consumer perceptions of the determinants of shopping about products, location, price, convenience of shopping, advertising, and employee services owned by Indomaret and Alfamart, methods of data analysis with chi-square. The results showed that there were differences in Indomaret consumer perceptions with Alfamart consumer perceptions on location indicators, the completeness of the products offered, prices and advertisements. The difference mentioned above is that Indomaret is superior compared to Alfamart. While in terms of convenience, shopping and services provided have a significant difference in the sense that Alfamart is superior to Indomaret. Based on the results of testing the hypothesis by Chi-Square (χ2), it is known that there is a significant difference between the perceptions of Indomaret consumers and Alfamart consumer perceptions. This is indicated by the value of itung2 count (χ2 = 61.72)> χ2 table (tabel2 table = 11.07). For the management of Indomaret, it is better to improve policies related to convenience in shopping, such as ease of consumer mobility when shopping and service quality. Meanwhile, Alfamart should evaluate policies related to products, location, price and advertising.
