The aim of this research was to observe the effectiveness of geogebra based van hiele model on mathematical disposition assessed from early mathematics ability. The accessible population of the present study was students of Prof. DR. HAMKA Muhammadiyah University. Samples of this research is semester two students from mathematics education program. Due to the happening Covid-19 pandemic, the present study was conducted online. The method employed was quasi-experiment using factorial treatment by level 2 × 2 design. The data were collected with mathematical disposition questionnaire and early mathematics ability instrument. After the data were collected, they were then analyzed with two-way ANAVA analysis. The result showed that there was no significant difference in the increase mathematical disposition of students who are given the learning model and early mathematics ability. The conclusion obtained is that the geogebra based Van Hiele Model is ineffective on students’ mathematical disposition in terms of their early mathematics abilitiy. This is due to several factors, namely internal factors and external factors. The internal factors are decreas in the score of mathematical disposition from pretest to posttest, lack of understanding applying geogebra software with online learning. External factors are quotas and poor internet network.

This study investigates the effects of COVID-19 on English as a foreign language (EFL) learners’ anxiety at the University of Bisha, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The differences between male and female learners and learners of the different study levels in terms of anxiety caused by COVID-19 were investigated. Moreover, the study sheds light on two factors which are the internal factors and external factors that increase learning anxiety during COVID-19 and the strategies used by the learners to decrease the negative effects of COVID-19 on learning anxiety. The data of the study were collected from 80 EFL learners (40 males and 40 females) at the University of Bisha. This study is considerable as it deals with something that is important in the learning and teaching processes these days. The study revealed that COVID-19 causes normal anxiety to the EFL learners at the University of Bisha. It was also revealed that there is no significant difference between the male and female learners in terms of anxiety caused by COVID-19 and external factors. There is a significant difference between them in terms of the internal factors and strategies used by the learners to decrease the negative effects of learning anxiety during COVID-19. Lastly, there was no significant difference between the learners of the different study levels in terms of anxiety, internal factors and external factors that increase negative learning anxiety and the strategies used by the learners to decrease the negative learning anxiety during COVID-19.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Van Hiele instructional model on students’ achievement in Circle Geometry at Daffiama Senior High School in the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa District of the Upper West Region in Ghana. The purposive and simple random sampling techniques were employed to select a sample of 75 participants for the study. The sample involved two groups: the experimental group and the control group. While teaching based on the Van Hiele model was carried out in the experimental group, teaching with the traditional method was carried out in the control group. The study employed a quasi-experimental research design. The instruments used for data collection were tests, interviews, and classroom observation. Findings from the data analysis suggested that participants were at the prerecognition level before the intervention, improved from the prerecognition level to level 2 after the intervention as the model facilitated learning. It was recommended that teachers determine the geometric thinking levels of students before instruction; the Van Hiele learning and instructional model is adopted in curriculum design and applied in the teaching of geometry and other areas of mathematics.

ABSTRACT Nutrition officer are nutrition service providers at the Primary Health Care (PHC) who carry out their duties in a management system to produce as targeted outcomes programs. This study aims to get an overview of the management of nutrition services and determine their relationship with the quality of nutrition officer in PHC in areas with high dan low nutritional status. The method used is cross sectional. The research sample was 67 nutrition officer in PHC (32 in West Bandung Regency and 35 in Depok City) and conducted in 2018. As the dependent variable was implementation of nutrition service management, while the independent variables consisted of internal factors (age, years of service, education, knowledge, motivation) and external factors (infrastructure, workload, funding, training, supervision, and leadership support). Data analysis uses Pearson, Spearman, T-test and Mann-Whitney. The results showed that internal factors that have a relationship with the management of nutrition services are motivation (p=0,000) while the external factors are infrastructure (p=0,004). Age has a relationship with planning with the direction of a negative relationship. This means that the more you age the planning process decreases. There was a significant difference in the planning processes by nutrition officer that had nutritional education backgrouds than non-nutritional education backgrounds (p<0,05). It is necessary to improve the quality of nutrition officer through guidance, fulfillment of facilities and infrastructure, monitoring and evaluation, and fulfillment of nutritionist through coordination between government institutions including a strong commitment from the leadership of the PHC. Keywords: management, nutrition services, nutrition officer   ABSTRAK Tenaga pelaksana gizi (TPG) merupakan pelaksana pelayanan gizi di puskesmas yang melaksakan tugasnya dalam suatu sistem manajemen untuk menghasilkan capaian program sesuai target. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran penyelenggaraan manajemen pelayanan gizi dan menilai hubungannya dengan kualitas TPG puskesmas di wilayah dengan status gizi tinggi dan rendah. Metode yang digunakan adalah potong lintang. Sampel penelitian 67 orang TPG puskesmas (32 TPG Kabupaten Bandung Barat dan 35 TPG Kota Depok) yang dilakukan pada tahun 2018. Sebagai variabel terikat adalah manajemen pelayanan gizi, sedangkan variabel bebas meliputi faktor internal (umur, masa kerja, pendidikan, pengetahuan, motivasi) dan faktor eksternal (sarana, beban kerja, dana, pelatihan, supervisi, dan dukungan pimpinan). Analisa data menggunakan pearson, spearman, uji-t dan mann-whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor internal yang memiliki hubungan dengan penyelenggaraan manajemen pelayanan gizi adalah motivasi (p=0,000) sedangkan faktor eksternalnya adalah sarana (p=0,004). Umur memiliki hubungan dengan perencanaan dengan arah hubungan negatif. Artinya semakin bertambah umur maka proses perencanaan semakin berkurang. Terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna dalam proses perencanaan antara tenaga pelaksana gizi dengan latar belakang pendidikan gizi dan non gizi (p<0,05). Perlu peningkatan kualitas TPG melalui pembinaan, pemenuhan sarana dan prasarana, pemantauan dan evaluasi, serta pemenuhan tenaga gizi melalui koordinasi antar lembaga pemerintah termasuk komitmen yang kuat dari pimpinan puskesmas. The purpose of this study was to investigate the problems faced by Eighth-semester students of English Education Program FKIP-UMM in the academic year 2015–2016 in writing thesis, especially in internal and external factors. This study used a case study. The subjects of this study were the Eighth-semester students who composed their thesis. In this study, the writer used purposive sampling as the sampling technique. So, the sample was 15 students. The instruments applied in this study were questionnaire and interview. The questionnaire was used for finding the students’ problems in writing a thesis. However, the interview was used to support the data obtained from the questionnaire. The result of this study showed that the problem faced in writing a thesis by Eighth-semester students of English Education Program, especially in internal and external factors. The first internal factors consisted of 33 % of students have a problem in deciding the title of thesis, 20 % of students did not understand how to write the organization of their thesis, 20 % of students have a problem in finding appropriate theories to support their thesis, 13 % of students have a problem in deciding methodology which is suitable. The external factor was 33 % of students said “No” library of the college provides a variety of books that can help them to write their thesis. Those problems are dominantly caused by internal factors rather than the external ones. The internal factors include the knowledge of students while the external factor related to the facility of college that support students in writing a thesis.


This study aimed to investigate the impact of the usage of the Van Hiele model in the development of geometric thinking levels among tenth grade students in Jordan. The sample of the study was selected from tenth grade basic students in Amman schools. Two hundred and forty students studying the mathematics course in the circle unit were divided into two groups: experimental (using the Van Hiele model) and the control (using the traditional approach of teaching).To achieve the objectives of the study, a test of geometric thinking in the unit of the circle was developed. Validity and reliability of the test was verified. The instructional material was also prepared in the circle unit for the students of the tenth grade using the Van Hiele model of geometric thinking. Four mathematics teachers were trained on the model, and the content validity of the training material was verified. The results of the study showed a statistically significant difference (α=0.01) between the two arithmetic means of the experimental and control agencies in favor of the experimental group that used the Van Hiele model in geometric thinking in general, and in sub-levels (visual, descriptive, logical), and the study showed no statistical significance difference (α=0.01) between the arithmetic means of male and female in geometric thinking, also the study showed an interaction between the model variable and gender variable in geometric thinking.

This study aims to determine the usefulness level of accounting information (on cash basis and accrual basis) in central goverment agencies internal decision-making process. In addition, this study also aims to determine the influence of the organization’s external factors, the organization's internal factors and Individual Actor’s Characteristic Related Factors on the level of use of accounting information in central goverment agencies internal decision making.The research show that  level of accrual accounting information use in the context of internal decision making is high. In addition it showed differences between  level of cash-based accounting information use and accrual-based accounting information use. This study also addressed that the organization’s external factors, the organization's internal factors and individual actor’s characteristic related factors significantly influence both level of accounting information use  on cash basis and accrual basis in the internal decision-making. Except for the organization’s external factors  did not significantly affect the level of accrual accounting information use  in the internal decision-making.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kegunaan informasi akuntansi (berbasis kas dan akrual) dalam proses pengambilan keputusan internal Unit Akuntansi Kuasa Pengguna Anggaran (UAKPA). Selain itu penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh faktor eksternal organisasi, faktor internal organisasi dan faktor karakteristik individu pengguna terhadap tingkat penggunaan informasi akuntansi dalam pengambilan keputusan internal Unit Akuntansi Kuasa Pengguna Anggaran (UAKPA).Temuan peneliti menunjukan bahwa tingkat penggunaan informasi akuntansi berbasis akrual tinggi dalam rangka pengambilan keputusan internal. Selain itu penelitian menunjukan adanya perbedaan tingkat penggunaan antara informasi akutansi berbasis kas dan informasi akutansi berbasis akrual. Penelitian juga menujukan bahwa faktor eksternal organisasi, faktor internal organisasi dan faktor karakteristik individu pengguna berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat penggunaan informasi akuntansi (berbasis kas dan akrual) dalam pengambilan keputusan internal. Kecuali untuk faktor eksternal organisasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat penggunaan informasi akuntansi akrual dalam pengambilan keputusan internal.
