Recovery is related to control addiction problems among drug addicts based on context environment in Malaysia. This research, to identify several aspects that have relationship with addiction recovery among Malaysian drug addicts specifically. Although there are several measurement instruments that have been developed to assess drug addiction recovery, a good validity instruments are still lacking and limited. In this regard, this study aimed to test content validity of Drug Addiction Recovery Test (DART) instruments specifically among 123 treated addicts in Besut Cure and Care Rehabilitation Centre (CCRC) using the content validation Ratio (CVR) method to ensure that measurement instruments are appropriate for use in local contexts and cultures. Eight experts selected according to experience they are in a particular field of research. The experts made up of UniSZA, UMT and UPSI. The instrument validation process involved 80 items from four components. The previous study found that the instrument had good validity with the minimum level of CVR value (N=8, CVR = 0.75). A total of 68 items were identified to be retained while the other 12 items had values below 0.75 rated refund and purified. This study found that the instrument is appropriate and relevant and has the potential to be a good instrument for measuring addiction recovery among drug addicts. It is proposed that pilot studies be conducted, and the data should be analysed using more in-depth statistical analysis such as factor analysis to obtain more detailed information about the items.
A Psychospiritual therapy was found to be effective in the treatment of drug addiction carried out in government and private care centers. Psychospiritual therapy itself is a psychotherapy that uses a spiritual approach in its application. Islamic Psychospiritual Therapy with the concept of Tazkiah al-Nafs is incomplete without Ruqyah Syar'iyyah aspects. The main purpose of this research is to investigate the method of implementing Ruqyah Syar'iyyah elements in the context of drug addiction recovery. Thus, qualitative research was carried out in five treatment centers for drug addicts selected using an Islamic psychospiritual approach. Data obtained through text analysis, interviews and observations. The study found that the Ruqyah Syar'iyyah aspect was carried out in the Psychospiritual treatment process in the recovery of drug addicts. However, he was not given serious attention from the point of consciousness, understanding and appreciation. As a result, trainers are less concerned with training after completing the treatment period at the drug rehabilitation center and ignoring it. After that the coach is easy to return to drug addiction. In addition, research suggests that some elements of Ruqyah Syar'iyyah and their appreciation be added and applied systematically through the process of riyadah al-Nafs and Muraqabah al-Nafs.

IntroductionPatient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) are a vital component of patient-centred care. Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) is a significant contributor to morbidity, mortality and health service costs globally, but there is a lack of consensus regarding PROMs for this condition.MethodsWe searched MEDLINE, EMBASE and Cochrane Collaboration for studies, both interventional and observational, of adult recovery from CAP that applied at least one validated PROM instrument and were published before 31 December 2017. The full text of included studies was examined and data collected on study design, PROM instruments applied, constructs examined and the demographic characteristics of the populations measured. For all CAP-specific PROM instruments identified, content validity was assessed using the COnsensus based Standards for selection of health Measurement INstruments guidelines (COSMIN).ResultsForty-two articles met the inclusion criteria and applied a total of 17 different PROM instruments including five (30%) classified as CAP specific, six (35%) as generic and six (35%) that measured functional performance or were specific to another disease. The 36-Item Short Form Survey (SF-36) was the most commonly used instrument (15 articles). Only one of 11 (9%) patient cohorts assessed using a CAP-specific instrument had a mean age ≥70 years. The CAP-Sym and CAP-BIQ questionnaires had sufficient content validity, though the quality of evidence for all CAP-specific instruments was rated as very low to low.DiscussionPROM instruments used to measure recovery from CAP are inconsistent in constructs measured and have frequently been developed and validated in highly selective patient samples that are not fully representative of the hospitalised CAP population. The overall content validity of all available CAP-specific instruments is unclear, particularly in the context of elderly hospitalised populations. Based on current evidence, generic health instruments are likely to be of greater value for measuring recovery from CAP in this group.

Abstract Background Evaluating patients in the acute phase of brain damage allows for the early detection of cognitive and linguistic impairments and the implementation of more effective interventions. However, few cross-cultural instruments are available for the bedside assessment of language abilities. The aim of this study was to develop a brief assessment instrument and evaluate its content validity. Methods Stimuli for the new assessment instrument were selected from the M1-Alpha and MTL-BR batteries (Stage 1). Sixty-five images were redesigned and analyzed by non-expert judges (Stage 2). This was followed by the analysis of expert judges (Stage 3), where nine speech pathologists with doctoral training and experience in aphasiology and/or linguistics evaluated the images, words, nonwords, and phrases for inclusion in the instrument. Two pilot studies (Stage 4) were then conducted in order to identify any remaining errors in the instrument and scoring instructions. Results Sixty of the 65 figures examined by the judges achieved inter-rater agreement rates of at least 80%. Modifications were suggested to 22 images, which were therefore reanalyzed by the judges, who reached high levels of inter-rater agreement (AC1 = 0.98 [CI = 0.96–1]). New types of stimuli such as nonwords and irregular words were also inserted in the Brief Battery and favorably evaluated by the expert judges. Optional tasks were also developed for specific diagnostic situations. After the correction of errors detected in Stage 4, the final version of the instrument was obtained. Conclusion This study confirmed the content validity of the Brief MTL-BR Battery. The method used in this investigation was effective and can be used in future studies to develop brief instruments based on preexisting assessment batteries.

The steady growth in the number of drug addicts, especially among young people, dictates the need to find ways to prevent and treat this disease. In this regard, there is a need for a more detailed study of the mechanisms of the course of this disease using modern research methods, such as atomic force microscopy and fluorescence analysis of amino acid residues. Purpose of the work: to reveal the structural and functional state of erythrocyte membranes in drug addiction. Materials and methods. The studies were carried out on the erythrocyte membranes of 60 subjects suffering from heroin addiction. The shape and topography of the erythrocyte surface were studied, and spectral analysis of the proteins of the erythrocyte membranes was carried out. Results. The conducted AFM studies of erythrocyte membranes indicate the heterogeneity of the surface mechanical properties of the erythrocyte membranes of drug addicts. The data obtained indicate an acceleration of the aging process of erythrocytes in drug addiction, which goes in two ways: the formation of outgrowths on the plasmolemma, which subsequently die off (echinocytes) and invagination of the plasmolemma of erythrocytes (spherocytes). The fluorescence spectrum of amino acids in erythrocytes of drug addicts is characterized by a significant decrease in the intensity of almost all peaks and a shift of the fluorescence peak to the short-wave region. Findings. With drug addiction, changes in the structural integrity of red blood cells are noted. In people with drug addiction, in comparison with healthy people, there is a higher variability of the morphology of erythrocytes, which is expressed in a significant increase in the proportion of echinocytes and spherocytes against the background of a significant decrease in the number of discocytes. For the membrane proteins of erythrocytes of drug addicts, conformational changes are characteristic, manifested in a decrease in the intensity of fluorescence of aromatic amino acids, which indicates their structural modification and significant vulnerability of the hematopoietic system. They are largely determined by changes in the fluorescence intensity of tryptophan and, to a lesser extent, tyrosine, which indicates the preservation of the three-dimensional structure of the protein.
